Welcome back guys! Today we are taking this 1986 Ford F150 XLT Lariat out for a test drive! As always If you liked the video give us a 👍and subscribe to see more videos in the future!
This was truly a unique truck for Ford. 1986 was the first year fuel injection was used in any of their trucks. The 5.0L V8 was the first engine to get it. This truck being a 1986 model with a fuel injected motor makes it a little extra special. It was the last year of the "bull nose" F-150 and the next year was the start of the "brick nose" F-150(1987-1991). Beautiful looking truck man, brings back memories for me as I had a 1981 model.
I owned that same truck but in charcoal gray metallic ordered it in 1986 came with the same 5.0 liter which is the 302 motor. Cost was $12,600 brand new. It was fast.
That thing is beautiful and it's very strange that crack in the dash.. I have been around many and owned several 80-86 F series pickups and have never seen that crack...
What are the prices on any of these vehicles it would be nice to know compared to a newer vehicle if it would be better decision? How does it work financing etc?
All of our prices are listed on our website at www.VanguardMotorSales.com! As for how the financing works you can call Tom anytime and he can answer question you have!
Back then Ford made good products that lasted. I absolutely hate the plastic junk that almost all manufacturers are using these days. Still have a 1987 Ford Ranger with 2.9L 4x4

Absolutely gorgeous. My grandfather had an F150 Lariat from this same year, only it was in shoe polish brown inside and out.
I bet that color looked good on a truck like this!

Those seventh generation Ford F-series pickups are getting harder to find every year, especially ones that are in that great shape.
If Colt Seavers had access to this he wouldn't have bothered with that GMC!
