In Flames was THE pioneer of Melodic Death Metal in the 90s, along with At the Gates and Dark Tranquility. They originally said the intent was to mix Iron Maiden with Death Metal. In Flames has strayed a bit in recent times (and many think it started with this album), but there is no denying that they are forever the pioneers of the genre. Absolute legends.

In flames in Europe is looked at has one of the best in metal . They are underrated in the states. I've seen them 3x live and they are outstanding. Check out "delight and angers" , "system" and " your bedtime story is scaring everyone "
In Flames first few albums are amazing. I fell in love with them back in 07. Their more recent albums are hard for fans who didn't like their total sound/style change. Soilwork is another great band to look into that's from Sweden as well.
One of my favorite songs by them, get to see this band for the first time ever in a couple weeks and I’ve wanted to see them for well over 10 years. In Flames never disappoints.
I’ve seen these guys with OPETH and Katatonia at the Tabernacle in Atlanta for Opeths 25th anniversary tour. They killed it! They’re super tight live. Y’all keep killing it.

In Flame style was a fresh change to the metal scene in the early 90's. Their style influenced a ton of bands going into the late 90's and 2000's, so much so that in interviews some bands jokingly say they should pay In Flames royalties.

This band is so good. "Only for the weak" is an amazing song of them. And weirdly enough i like the new remasterd version better then the old one. Fans are very split up about it, i disliked the remastered songs at first too, but after a few times listening they are actually slightly better and more modern. But the old ones have the best massive feels. Another great song would be "when the world explodes. Ft emilia Feldt" Clayman or Ergonomics are also great songs.
Because i'm an old school In Flames fan i need to say this on every video....for me their first four-five albums is their best ones, especially the first three albums, then they changed too much and gained new fans who thinks the next five albums are the best.....and after that they just suck :D

I really hope you check out the browning real soon. A true one of a kind band. Carnage featuring Jake Hill is about one punch man. I'm not sure if you guys have reacted to it or not, but the band In This Moment has a song called "World in Flames" and has a female lead singer, so that may be some of the confusion when y'all were saying that you thought you had already reacted to the band In Flames. Especially when you mentioned a female lead singer.

I would like to recommend The Quiet Place from these guys, one of my all time favorite bands, they're from Norway so they don't tour in the states much but I did get a chance to see them in Bismarck North Dakota with All that Remains and Wovenwar/As I Lay Dying and got a chance to see them after the show at a bar across the street, super cool down to earth dudes🔥🤘🔥🤘🔥

Before even viewing this video. I grew up with the original members of this band, and some other bands (Dark Tranquility, At the Gates, the Haunted aso) and they're the nicest, kindest, funniest people you could ever imagine being around. I'd love to see a Gotheburg sound-marathon as it runs from the lat/early 80/90's up until today and would showcase everything from the more old school-related death metal to their more progressive and melodic side. Just a thought.

I saw them YEARS ago at House of Blues Chicago and I'm seeing them open for Meshuggah on October 9th. They put on a hell of a live show.

A few more In Flames suggestions, though I'm sure some have suggested them already: Clayman, Pinball Map, Cloud Connected, Crawl Through Knives, My Sweet Shadow, Reroute to Remain, System, The Quiet Place, F(r)iend, Vacuum, any song from A Sense of Purpose but Disconnected or The Mirror's Truth are a good place to start.
Before even viewing this video. I grew up with the original members of this band, and some other bands (Dark Tranquility, At the Gates, the Haunted aso) and they're the nicest, kindest, funniest people you could ever imagine being around. I'd love to see a Gotheburg sound-marathon as it runs from the lat/early 80/90's up until today and would showcase everything from the more old school-related death metal to their more progressive and melodic side. Just a thought.
Ether is the song that got me in to In Flames back in... Uh, 2003? Heard it on the Freddy VS Jason soundtrack. Loved them since; got a tattoo of their jester head mascot on my arm even LMAO
Gods I love this song. Sadly this is pretty much one of the only In Flames songs I know. For some reason I was never able to get into their music other than this song. I did listen to some of their other songs but I don't remember them now.

I loved old in flames for the riff work as a guitar player, but this album was also cool. I didn’t get that vibe to pick my guitar, but it was catchy n I dug it no lie!
