  • A look at the steam scene around the South East of England & the Fenlands from 2008 to 2015.
We start off looking at the Bluebell Railway in Sussex, reopened in 1960 we look at trains running between Sheffield Park, Horsted Keynes, Kingscote and East Grinstead. Motive power featured includes P Class 178 & 323 (on her visit to the Severn Valley Railway), visiting Black Five 45231 Sherwood Forester & 9F 92212, SECR H Class 263 and C Class 592, Southern U Class 1638 and Terriers Fenchurch and Stepney.
We stay in Sussex and have a brief look at the Volk Electric Railway in Brighton, before moving to the Mid Hants Railways (The Watercress Line), running between Alton, Medstead & Four Marks, Ropley & Alresford. Motive power here features SR Merchant Navy 35028 Clan Line on a rare preserved railway gala visit, Bulleid Light Pacific 34007 Wadebridge, Schools class 925 Cheltenham, 850 Lord Nelson, 9F 92212, A4 Bittern and Metropolitan Railway No. 1.
Next is the Spa Valley Railway at Tunbridge Wells, a line I have only had the pleasure to visit once for its London Underground theme event in 2010 with Pannier Tank L99 and Jinty 47493.
The North Norfolk Railway runs between Sherringham, Weybourne and Holt. On this line we see a J15, N7, Flying Pig, 9F, Pannier, Austerity & 56XX in action. Staying in Norfolk we move to the Mid Norfolk Railway for their West Coast Railways Gala featuring Scots Guardsman, Galatea and 48151 operating on preserved lines for a very rare occasion.
A take a brief look at the Bure Valley and Mid Suffolk Light Railways, before finishing this episode at the Bressingham Steam Museum, taking a look at their narrow gauge and miniature lines.
    Steaming Along
With my move to a 4K camera in 2018, this seemed like the perfect opportunity for a series of compilation videos with my archived pre 4K material. Steaming Along is a series of compilation videos looking at the key locations and locomotives on some of Britain's best preserved railways.
This is the first episode of series 2 of Steaming Along, continuing a look before I moved 4K. This series will have episodes focused on Main Line Steam, Capital Steam, the Lake District, the North East, the South and the Great Little Trains of Wales.
