I waisted alot of time, have about 20 hrs in and still haven't built my own base. I dropped about 6 locker's around the base you start in, just to hold all the junk. I still don't have the hand held device to build?. I get lost on my journeys exploring,lol. You definitely helped, when I do start to build. Great video. Good luck.
Exterior growbed isn't available from the start. You'll need to find it either in the koosh bulb zone or the floating island.

As soon as you get sea glide just go to the island lol its rlly easy to get

My only advice would be to add a extra tube for more space to spread things out and add more solar panels.
even 4 is way more than enough cause there is only fabricator using the power. i would say 2 is optimal
If you put your hatch on the top where you put the window, it leaves another wall for something else.

We can't put a hatch or door up but we can put vertical connectors

But how do you get to the construction tab???? Totally left out an extremely important stepnin a how to video.
For anyone reading this now, you have to make a habitat builder tool, equip that and activate and you get all the building options.
Honestly, I see no need for acid shrooms in the garden, as the main starting biomes R lousy with them, deep shrooms, gelsacks, & blood kelp, however, R must haves.
Matter of opinion i think they can be useful at the start because you have lots of tools that require batteries so it saves going away to the base so much and frees up more storage for all the other items
I have an acid mushroom and creepvine farm cause my base is nearly 600 meters down in the blood kelp trench, And i ain't going back to the shallows just for creepvine and acid mushrooms

I'll tomorrow build my first base , mainly for the lockers. My whole loot is in these floating storages lol

New player here, how do you supply the place with fresh air, or there's no need for that and its automatic? Also do u need light inside or also come automatic?
light and air will be supplied when power is added to any habitat

This ain't a beginner base - you're playing in Creative Mode, so you have access to all crafting/construction plans and unlimited access to building material. And the items you show need a lot of research of swimming, searching and finding, they are not "beginners equipment" - needless to mention the rough way of finding sulfur and silver.
He explained twice that all the plans you need, you have from the start, except for the battery charger. And the resources aren't hard to get for this stuff. Im only a couple hours in and am able to easily build this.
I actually have a challenge for you to make an 4X4 base in the ecological deadzone atleast anywhere from 25,000 50,000 M deep. You can use multipurpose rooms ABOVE the 4X4 compartment to supply power.
However some pre-requisites:
- you must be PAST the point where even Levithian Ghosts can spawn.
- The base needs 8 searchlights, 4 looking upwards, 4 looking downwards, which are always online.
- You must be able to reasonably sustain yourself in this base without need of rest. Coffee and an vending machine being powered up should fix both issues.
- The base obviously will need a connector.
- And to up the ante: Your fuel source must be mesmers or lilypadders in an aquarium. You're allowed to add onto the offshore power plant as much as you want.
which button do you press to access materials for building on xbox?
I'm not sure as I don't play it on xbox
u can just search it up but most likely you loved ur problem.

the sea glider you can find it in the local areas, scan the fragments then you will be able to build it
Ok so all you need to do is get those plat form things and build what ever you want

I just started the game but the growbeds aren't in the list, am I missing something?
You have to swim aroung and find an example of it. Scan it, and you can build it.
I was building my base, then I realized I put five on the first side 😅
and how do i breathe inside the capsule?
As long as you have power supply, the capsule magically creates a breathable atmosphere
Do I need to make a build tool?
Yes... you gotta find one so that you get the plan to construct it

Not, but not all items are available from scratch - you need to discover them by searching through wrecks and the scatterfields around them. So, first build a better air tank so that you can dive longer and a scanner to discover and copy the items you find on your tours.
how am i supposed to breathe inside my base?
You add the solar panels on top of your base. You can add two to start off with and go inside and have oxygen already available.
