Who's to blame for SEAHAWKS poor O-line play? How can it be FIXED? (FILL SESSION!!)

- When assessing offensive line play, oftentimes the culprit in blocking breakdowns is difficult to identify..... but, we're going to try.
Were the Seattle Seahawks week 1 issues up front on offense due to poor individual play, communication breakdowns, or both? Is it time to insert 3rd round Christian Haynes into the lineup at one of the guard spots, or would that merely interfere even more with continuity?
More pressingly, can it be fixed before the heat gets turned up on their schedule. For a team hoping to challenge for an NFC playoff berth, these very well may be the most pressing questions yet to be answered.
Today I'll take a look at some key plays from Sunday's win over Denver to try and get a feel for how much, if at all, 12's should be panicking.

Great work on this. It’s nice to know the truth vs just assuming certain guys are the problem. Sounds like all the guys had a rough go, but turned it around in the 2nd half including Grubb hub
This was one of the best breakdowns of the O-line work I've ever seen! I support Christian Haynes taking over from either Bradford or Tomlinson. Question is - which would be the better option?
Great coverage! I think the first safety was really a product of play calling.
I completely agree, we need to see another game or two before we consider making a move unless it’s too good of a player to turn down.
Looking forward to that coverage and your prospective on it
Found out today that the All-22 coaches films are only available 24 hours after the game is done and then only available for 36 hours. So when you're wondering why it's taking so long or where the tapes went, that's the NFL+ premium's warning.
I really like this kind of detail, visual analysis. It should better inform fan perspectives (won't for some). I agree with you that RT is biggest concern, the tape shows weak and weaker. Abe can't get back soon enough, but will he need more time than the team can afford (well, they're forced to afford, but......).
Great analysis! Appreciate the breakdown. I got confirmation regarding what I've always know. Stone man is painful to watch. Fant was the big surprise for me. Maybe he was a bit rusty on those first few plays? Hoping to see a little Right Tackle rookie play this weekend.
Whatever happened to the common knowledge fact that O-line takes the longest to acquire cohesion and is the unit that requires the ability to play as a unit?
Let's not forget that they had one series in preseason playing as a unit vs an NFL opponent.
Or maybe JUST MAYBE we should consider voodoo. Let's be honest it's been the elephant in the room for years and we need to address it NOW. Vodoo.
@@TBM1121 huh?
good stuff i think Tomlinson concerns me most
Why does anyone need to be replaced? It's possible for them to actually learn from mistakes and get better. Replace someone and now you're starting over again.
I thought Noah Fant was equally responsible for that second safety. His block was lazy.
I honestly think the broncos are not that bad. I want to see how the broncos do against the Steelers. It’ll be good to see how good we are. I know every game is different but I think Seahawks really made Nix life hard this weekend 😂
Just out of curiosity, what Conference did the WSU football team end up joining?
On that first play it was both Fant and Cross
❤ GO HAWKS
I blame the league and their camp rules.
It’s the GM, who’s handling of the o-line is pure negligence. This team is good overall and can beat teams. If anything holds them back, it’s the o-line and the GM thought that this lineup was good enough. He knew Lucas needed time to come back, Williams is coming back from a serious injury and Bradford and Tomlinson have been very bad. Nothing was shown that they were capable starters last season. This is negligence at its finest. Fire the GM!
Changes will be too late after Geno gets hurt running for his life 😂 or lose a few games we should have won just by scoring an extra TD the window is closing after this week, we can probably get by this weekend but after that we need to make changes to the oline period full stop 🛑 go Hawks 🦅🤘
The GM. They signed Jackson who was horrible last year for the Jets. Guess what he's still horrible. Bradford was horrible last year he's horrible now. There's more than a good chance Lucas may never play again or end up with a much short career. Instead of drafting a OT in a very deep OT class you don't take one until the 6th round. You didn't like the center you drafted last year. You still didn't and didn't draft another, so you sign a guy that in his 5 years in the league he gets hurt a lot and had been benched for poor play 2 out of the 5 years in the league. It's on the GM. You see holes he's always thought OL aren't worth drafting high. It's shown. Seattle OLs is among the worse the NFL since this GM has been in charge.
Started watching the Seahawks in 76. Can't say it is ever given a damn about the offensive line. Just be another joke of a season with a bunch of her players
