ObsidianChillDCUO Don't remember the stats I had when I tested cc trinket a couple of weeks ago but it did eat 24-25k in tank role. I'd have to check my stats but the multiplier is somewhere around 0.35-0.39 range.
Edit: Have you noticed that dampening fields do not stack with HL and 4 man shields? Also, I don't think weapon absorption adapter ever procs or bugs out with both healer 4 mans as well as HL
@@Met-cx9uj makes sense, I haven't run that CC trinket since I was tanking as atomic which would be around the Atlantis DLC episode and it was around 15k can then. Players want to think its valuable but its still a long cast time, fun to play with running really old content.
Haven't run dampening fields in awhile, id have to check but they could just be coded differently from a shield as a consumable and that interferes with any sort of stacking.

Hey I have a question. Is this for the tank fire shield or dps? I recently power switched to fire and am enjoying it but the shield feels so trash.
Someone recently said you shouldn't watch me because I get paid by the devs (big LOL) and that *it's not worth it to spend the amount of time I do on my videos* (word for word that's what he said) and that video thumbnails are low quality. Welp here is another video that took hours of testing to make and I spent 2 minutes on the thumbnail :D
I don't know who said this but I'm sure he is an ass clot. you have the best guides and back them up with research and the paperwork, And have helped more than anyone else in the game
this is the only place to find real information. not just hearsay in all of dcuo. that guy can fuck himself the devs should pay you. every other mmo has most of this information readily available. the dc wiki is a joke. thank you for your work.

2 questions: where do you look to find the base values for all moves?

is it possible 4 to do a test on the quality of shields when some1 else uses it on you? like if a healer uses a group shield and as a tank how much i can rely on it? does it depends on their stats still or is it combined with my own?
no, it only depends on their stats (the one who casted the shield) so if an atomic tank uses mass density everyone gets it based on the tanks dom&resto just like if an elec healer uses group transducer it is based on the healer resto/dom. Which is why mass density is so valuable because tanks will have much higher combined resto/dom for shield strength than healers would.
So what is the best shield power
Could phase dodge survive Blackhawks dive? I was thinking about running it in my prec LO for gadgets

You stated the BSM is 112.5% resto and 150% dom. My question is that if you had 200 extra skill points would you be better off going 200sp into dom or splitting it 100sp into resto and 100sp into dom (to get both 10% bonus you receive at 100sp)? thanks in advance.
J Owen you’d still have dom maxed no matter what (unless you heal and then you’d want max resto) the extra sp you refer to is more for a resto/health sp split which then depending on the powerset you’d take more resto or dump the rest into health.
All your vids are informative and really help with picking loadouts for gear and powers. I'm just personally confused/annoyed that nature heal only gets one shield and its only a 4 man. Is there any shield power we can use during raids?
(I wish they'd modify Thorn Burst to be a 8-man shield power in healing role)
for nature no, the balance with not having a 8man shield is that nature just relies on many heal over times ticking at once. Which for content like shattered gotham or like phoneix cannon or h.i.v.e where you have strong persistent damage over times ticking nature is much more helpful than another healer as those dot's would just max out the healer 8 man shield quickly.
Celestial doesn’t have an 8 man either
@@allocentric9018 officially it doesn't but if you are in an instance that requires a 8man shield you can always save blessing for yourself etc so you are covered from not only the small taunt but the damage. Not ideal but it can still technically become a 8man depending on your rotation.
I'm just amazed that is is being done like now in 2020.
For a 9 year old game you'd expect that someone would have done this already by now.

good to know that my gadget shield is utter trash by the looks of it.
just alot don't want to put in the time, or they do it for their own personal testing and don't share it publicly. That's why I like doing this so that you all don't have to. I'll bring you all the information, make my own opinions based on those stats and leave it up to everyone else to take away from it what they will :)

Veqrite the devs have a trinket that can be used for that but nothing the players have access to will restore supercharge

I got a question for you, you said that you are going to try you’re hardest to make sure sm doesn’t comeback along with nu but yet since that video I seen you bring up the laz pit art up and now phase dodge and how they should be tweaked why is that?
because if SM came out presently it would once again be filled with all precision dps with dual wield flurry shot and tanks or multiple group members running the Lazarus pit at 200 for auto rezz's every 15min and running powers like phase dodge and amazon deflection which as you can see from the video above are night and day stronger than any actual powerset ability. Manbat trinket and its dodge also falls into the same category along with many other things. SM doesn't need to be filled with players using crutches just to complete rounds, all it does it further dilute the meaning and skill behind SM into the embarrassment that Season 1 was. If proper adjustments were made than sure 100% bring back season 2.
ObsidianChillDCUO You would have to spend a decent amount of money on the laz pit art to make it valuable like every other artifact in the game. There’s nothing wrong with amazon deflection nor phase dodge because if you know they’re actual moves that hero’s use in the dc comics, deflection can be block break or if you get grounded it with automatically knock you out of it and phase dodge only lasts like 2 seconds so it’s not really liable. Crutch? If there’s something good in the game why is it wrong for a player to use it too they’re advantage? Lunge spamming was a different story because it made you untouchable 99.9% of the time. But trying to get good moves in the game tweaked or an artifact that you have to dump a decent amount of cash into sounds selfish and it looks like you are trying to cripple majority of the player base for to use anything good to attempt to beat survival mode. And I’ve been playing dcuo since the beginning and there’s legit no skill needed nor any in this game by anyone, it’s all player base like there’s casual players, average players, above average players and great players and that’s facts.
@@Takemebacktotheplusgamingera The entire point of survival mode was to make it the most difficult challenge, not something filled with things that will make it infinitely easier to complete. Survival Mode was out from 2014-2017 and in all those years only 3 groups EVER actually beat survival mode and only 1 group beat it during CR Scaling (I should know I was in it) with SM Season 1 literally hundreds of groups beat it, it's to the point the platinum crown is common as hell lol. Lunge Spamming, Phase Dodge, Manbat were a huge part of groups beating it. You say phase dodge isn't reliable, it's actually 3 seconds, and in 3 seconds is all you need to tank a burst damage hit which the tank will already know is telegraphed like ultraman's laser and you will not 100% not die where any tank not using phase dodge will 100% die in that situation because blocking won't save you either at that high a round, which leads to a death which then leads to the boss attacking another player trying to get the rez and more than likely is a group wipe. There are players that don't care about $$ or will use their parents credit card if it gives them an advantage, look at all the players who got trans-strat artifacts to 200 in the first week LOL, lazarus will give free revives every 15min at 200 and round 29-30 etc can take 40+ minutes so it will have multiple chances to proc and avoid the danger of a revive needed because the player can do it themselves. There's a whole list of things like that which will just make SM trivial. In regards to comic abilities, super-strength is a useless iconic power to take in the game, but shouldn't that be the strongest dps power ability? Shouldn't I be able to spec it and lift up a building like superman can and than drop it on a boss or adds and kill them all? that's how it works in the comics no? that type of rationale doesn't make sense when compared to most of dcuo.
ObsidianChillDCUO In past sms I never heard nor seen anyone bring/say anything about nerfing moves in the game to make sm harder. Lunge spamming got removed so those hundreds of groups that beat season 1 won’t see 30 because they heavily relied on lunge spamming not amazon or phase dodge, if you look at all those videos for majority of the length base is just the tank lunging and occasionally you’ll see something pop ad or ps and that’s knowing when too and how to follow up after the end of the durations that will also keep you alive not just popping them omg gg no re ez. Obviously you’re still upset about what happened during season 1 like most of us veterans but IMO this just look nor sound justifiable/right just my 2 cents though.

Envelop works a bit differently because its an encasement with a duration. So yes its a strong shield but it only lasts a few seconds if you took damage or not. With Gemstone Shield for earth it can last much longer up until its damage cap

Obsidian, I know this has nothing to do with this particular video but Quantum is my favorite power since I switched in 2013. My problem is that Quantum in my opinion has been nerfed to the ground in certain areas and power functions have been changed. I absolutely hate what happened to it in overall use, PvE and PvP.
Singularity, Gravity Bomb, Gravity Well, Tachyon Blast and Warped Reality got NERFED. The powers like Singularity and Gravity Well got turned into Power Interaction appliers instead of dealing more damage to enemies that are Graviton Charged like it used to be.
I want old Quantum back so bad and I'm sure that (OG) Quantum players feel the same. I miss the burst damage.
Sorry about the rant.
Another thing is that because of the damage Nerf it has received to it's past burst Damage powers that I mentioned above, Quantum has become way to dependent on Time Bomb in PvP to do any good damage. Everything else is extremely underwhelming aside from Einstein's Ray.
Conclusion: I want old PI and burst damage for Singularity, more damage with Gravity Bomb, old PI for Gravity Well and Tachyon Blast goes back to being a charge up ability that deals massive burst damage.

What sp you should be at to start playing your roll?
stewdotmonte there’s no sp requirement technically but it certainly helps to have enough to max your 1 roll which would be around 260 or so but you can certainly still do your role and just take some shortcuts along the way in sp
