I have a 2018 model with the VVT engine and a R1. For every day ridding and small country lanes the R125 is just as fun the bigger bike. Anyone who looks at one of thesse and thinks they are just another small under powerd bike is wrong. My R125 is completely standard and still hits 80mph no problem and stays there. Good fun great bike but expensive for a first bike this base model is £6 grand plus
The 155cc models (MT-15 & R15) are fun bikes on our small mountain roads. Fast corner speed and flickable, bigger cc ones cannot always keep up when going downhill!
@@rommelsailo Such a motorcycle capacity is cool to start your adventure with motorcycles. I rode a Yamaha TDR 125 myself (great bike) but that was 20 years ago. Currently I am 190 cm and weigh over 100 kg, so this class of motorcycles does not interest me.
Great vid Chris. Would love to see the 2 smokers back in action. The great smell of the Castrol R30 days is long gone though. Cheers mate, much respect from Old Fart, West Oz.
This channel is what separates the men from the boys. This is the sophisticated motorcycle channel, one that really covers the beauty of the biking world. This isn't your standard "ride 500hp litre-bike killers everyday", or just bland reposting of other channels' content. I've never had an interest in lower cc machines but the production quality and presentation just make me want to go out and try one of these bad boys. Bravo to all the work you guys put into the channel, Chris and the folks in production, stupendous job. Thank you for being yourselves and delivering high quality content.
@mauricemotoman3305 can i ask you a question? I got my bike license but i did the course with a 600cc bike. It also was the first time i ever rode a bike. So i got used to the 600cc power. Is the mt 125 enough to handle day to day use? Also is it reliable enough to last for years?
@@mindofvirtuoso3358 After riding a 600cc every bike under 300cc will seem very underpowered 2 yu... If u can cope with it, its a good bike to hav fun with... And yes, its the most reliable 125cc out there...
Awesome. When I was 17 it was a tzr 125 we never spoke about miles per gallon it was miles per piston 😂😂, Even better on the dt50 at 16 I wore through my trainers pulling wheelies everywhere. Nothing better than going home stinking of 2 stroke .
Im liking this trend of more and more of the tech from the flagship bikes trickling down into all the smaller bikes now. VVT in such a small and cheap bike. Kawi put TC into their Z650 this year too! Though TC in this 125 seems a little overkill, I am still happy with the trend.
I like 125s, and I’ve been (on and off) riding since the 1960s. Please, please, please, will you do an episode (at least) on what you did to your wife’s little Honda LDT bike to make it LDT capable. I’m attempting to make an Innova into an LDT-capable special. And yes, I know there are standard Innovas on the Exeter and LE. Les
The 2014 model was the sweet spot for the R125 in my opinion, it was produced for one year only the face lift non abs is the best one. All R125,s from 2008 till present day have steel frames not alloy.
How hard or easy are these to ride for a total newbie after doing a cbt test? I mean could one just toddle along in the city within speed limits and not lean down on corners etc? Love the sound of these but really don’t want to fall and mess myself up on the tarmac 😂
I don't own one yet but i want to get one this year when i turn 16, but from what I've heard these motorcycles(mt 125 and r125) are some of the best ones to start with and I am completely in love with both. If you can spend that kind of money on them they are the best in their category and no, if you know the basics of riding a bike, you won't have any problems falling if you are careful in traffic and corners. Practice leaning on corners and u will get better and better and the fear will fade away.
Which one should I get, I love the look of the r125, but I get a bad back sometimes and fear the riding position might be painful, that being said I'll use it for fun and easy commutes, never long distance
I ride a 2020 mt125, I don't find that I get much back pain or unless I've got used to it, the upright position is easy on the back but the r125 will always have that sporty posture and a wee bit harder on the wrists
P.s you did the best video of all the guys and ladies that did that event. Nice video bruv. P.s I got 2023 R125 on order scene March, can't wait for it to get delivered ❤
I couldn't tell you what all 3 are like but I ride an MT125, it's my 3rd 125 and my favourite, really good acceleration and top speed for a 125, easy to throw about but feels a bit unsteady as you're reaching the last line of chicken strips (possible tyre issue) and one of my biker buddy's ride a cbr125, on straights me and the cbr125 keep at the same pace, corner wise he leads a bit more but again that could be a tyre issue or the fact I'm still learning, overall the mt125 and cbr125 are really good bikes, they're not meant to be going knee down but they can take you quite low
Hey guys I'd love to see you do an on road review of this new R125. I'd be happy to let yous use mine. Which is fitted with all the factory optional extras + more. Still starder running bike no tune "yet". I do have a video on my channel you can take a lot at it. Birmingham GT RC
Yea that Bluetooth adds an extra ghost 5bhp, always yearning after that Bluetooth connectivity. Just imagine if they had that in the 90s be game changer. Can't wait for that snowflake connectivity to come out.

I have absolutely no interest in this class of bike, although it's always nice to see Chris in action.
yup here to see chris
This bike is for first-time riders and for cheap but still fun commuting

Same. Chris is a true enthusiast, you can identify this by its perpetual smile. Never bored by any kind of bikes.
Im in love with r125
Great review sir 👏
If this gets more people in bikes then that's a great thing !
Great vid Chris.

I still have a 2014 Honda CBR 125R, for all most 3 years now, it might be a small bike, but it is still fun and looks awesome

That bike looks killer for a 125 cc R125 ❤️🔥
I know right?
I got the mt125 2019 model
It rides like heaven and eats tight corners for breakfast

Chris, as much as I always enjoy your bike reviews, but I'm NOT cutting my coffee out. Heck, most of the time I ride one of my bikes to get my coffee.
me neither... but I got the 155cc Yamaha tho...
Can we get just the whole video of the r125 on track because that looked hella fun
Ive rode a honda grom, benelli bn125, honda cbf125 and now im on a 2020 mt125, its honestly the best 125 ive rode so far sounds alot better aswell
I soon will be able to ride 125ccm bikes and iam mostly intersted in the r 125,thank you for the nice Video

Chris can make any bike look good ! You know he kicked the Spanish guys ass in the end 😂
I had a mt-125 for 3 years I loved it but now have a ktm 690 duke r

Abit upset this has a way cooler screen than an R7😂
I was thinking of buying th MT for the Mrs, ended up with a Svartpilen125 and a fair chunk of cash in the bank.
Euro companies come no where near the Japs when it comes 2 sustaining abuse and still b reliable...
Just saw this same video on Moto Review channel but quality is low and was posted 2 days ago. I think they are posting as their video.
P.s you did the best video of all the guys and ladies that did that event. Nice video bruv. P.s I got 2023 R125 on order scene March, can't wait for it to get delivered ❤
Thanks for letting us know.
Mt125 or z125 or hinda cb125r?

Country?
Do you guys have any idea about this bike is going to sale in Turkey or not i really like it …
Türkiye’de satışı var diye biliyorum MT125’in kardeşim
ngl the gsxr-125 is still the better buy cost and performance wise

Lol, the first thing I did after my purchase is disconnecting the bluetooth module/coupler... Depletes battery quicker!
Can you elaborate. Is the bluetooth thingy good or not?
Keren banget anjay speedometer ny
They look great, if only they were 2 strokes!!
Yamaha Mt 125cc, India main jaldi se launch Karo
Is it fun to stunt like a grom?
My bike has 12 ps 😅
Yamaha should launch these here in Pakistan instead of their shitty YBR125G :/
Where can I buy one for £60 quid a month thanks
