Probably Penrose as it's designed specifically for console. And has bigger drivers and probably better sound.
@@TheProvokedPrawn thanks for your fast response I’ve subbed and will be buying the penrose x can’t wait for more informative videos
so is the penrose as good sounding as the mobius if you connect them to your mobile device via the 3.5mm jack and is it as loud? or does that make no difference? also im upgrading from a HyperX Cloud 2
Yeah they'll be loud for sure.
Super lound 35-40% is more than enough for me
Where did you get that tiny computer
ua-cam.com/video/_NRt4n4dSxI/v-deo.html
Why dont thesevexpensive sets have 7.1? Is the virtual surround these days even close?
Can I use the penrose with my phone if I use the usb-c to usb-c cable ?
Nope
@@TheProvokedPrawnlot missing from penrose, glad I got mobius for my use cases
Where o where did you find that glass skull headset stand???
Amazon. Just search for glass headphone stand
@@TheProvokedPrawn - thank you for the quick reply! You must have the UK version of Amazon because the US version doesn’t list them. I have done multiple searches on Amazon, Ebay and Google and the only hit i was able to get was “AMP3 Luxury Glass Skull Headphones Stand” which seems to only be available in the UK! Anyway, keep up the great work! I love your reviews!
@@Bacnow sad times 😭 doubt it would survive the trip. Though I'm surprised you can't get them there too. Have you tried Etsy?
Which one ultimately sounds better for console use (I play on both console and pc)? I found the mobius for only $30 more. Is it worth it?
If you don't mind wires and don't want wireless it is better.
Is it loud on console
@@def-po8tu I ended up getting the penrose because I heard some reports that the mobius suffered a sound quality decrease on console. Don't know if its true but it kinda scared me away for the price.
Where’d you find the mobius for $30 more?
Can it connect to a phone/laptop through bt for discord and then 3.5mm/dongle for consoles at the same time?
Yes it can.
You can, but the 3.55mm will take priority over the other connection methods meaning you will only hear 3.55mm audio. If pairing bluetooth and wireless dongle to 2 devices, you will hear both audio sources simultaneously.
In your question, bluetooth for discord and dongle for console.
guys, i have tried hyperx cloud orbit s,
But they broke at my place, in the same spot where the plastic usually breaks.
I have bought penrose, and want to say quality sound is better at orbit s, i even switch orbits to stereo , and turned off 3d to compare them
Thats why i think morbious will be also better than penrose, because orbit s was copied from mobious
Isn't the Mobius wireless aswell? It has Bluetooth
Bluetooth and wireless aren't the same though. Bluetooth has more latency than 2.4ghz wireless. Also the Bluetooth connection on the Mobius suuuuuucked.
@@TheProvokedPrawn ok maybe not wireless but it's still portable like an everyday bluetooth studio/audio headphone without the non-detachable wires connected.
@@TheProvokedPrawn do you know if the mobius has the same issue for the mic as the orbit s does?
Was able to pickup a pair of mobuis for 300!
Where?
@@Akenrec ebay, they were brand new too, as im posting this theres a pair for sale for 325 and free shipping
Just grabbed a set that was used for 6hrs for $240! Incredible how much a little use will take off, I don’t mind as Planar drivers wear in.
Do you think Penrose misses a lot by not having Surround?
Surround is a meme
I want a headset with 40khz any options besides the steelseries arctis pro i already got them but they cracked on me
Jbl quantum one
@Jan Modaal need more highs for many fps so 50khz is important
are audezee shipping them? i had bought the x and it is scheduled to ship for the end of january
@TheProvokedPrawn what has better audio: Arctis Pro Wireless or Audeze Penrose?
Penrose for sound quality.
@@TheProvokedPrawn is the difference in sound substantial? like night and day?
@@sh4rpshooter782 I switched from arctis pro man. It’s a night and day difference. I got the Mobius tho not penrose x. Yet they’re practically the same headset when it comes to sound quality. It’s much louder, sound clarity is awesome. Bass I haven’t experienced such balanced bass ever in my life. Soundstage thanks to 3D is so damn wide. Imaging most importantly is magnificent. I mean It just kills any headset that I tried so far. Even sennheiser hd800s which is a 2200 dollar headset apart from build quality and comfort again it’s not a competition for Mobius/Penrose. Yes they’re expensive but damn they worth each buck.
I have a pair of the Audeze LCD X headphones for music. This is for gaming only and from what I can see the SS one has more features so i think I will get that. Also, from my reddit post, people said it was a difference but not that big so I think I’ll go for the SS
@@mattheturk8158 I'm currently using my sennheisser 820s for gaming because I just can't find a wireless pair with good enough imaging. You think the penrose is the one?
Great video! I want to buy a headset mainly for my PS5, but also for listening to music from my phone and use it on my laptop once in a while. I don´t mind the wires and price, but I am wondering if there is any advantage of the Penrose over the Mobius when using it on Playstation? Apart from being wireless? From what I read you loose the surround sound with mobius when connected to Playstation over USB, but then again Penrose doesn´t have that in the first place. Hope someone can help
Apart from wireless and the fact that Mobius is capable of 96Khz audio, there's not much in it. Penrose has been developed specifically for PS though, so might be the better option.
@@TheProvokedPrawn thanks for the quick reply. I am just wondering what the effect of "developed specifically for PS" is?
Which one should i get for pc wireless
Penrose
Been looking at getting the Penrose X. I have Plantronics Rig 800 lx now and not very happy with the bass distortion. Just worried about the camping pressure.
Hey did you end up ordering? I have the Rig 800 lx as well and wanted to compare
@@Trigun892 I ordered from Crutchfield. They're supposed to have them back in stock on the 29th.
@@Trigun892 Just received tracking info. Crutchfield has them back in stock.
Got a mobious for 250 at crutchfield
So basically mobius gonna have better audio quality then penrose?
Would seem that way, over BT Mobius has LDAC over AAC and for extreme it has wired option with better frequency range, i haven’t decided which I am going for yet though. Same drivers though.
Do you have a video vs the a50?
Vs the Mobius not the Penrose sadly.
Audeze nuts
I was able to get audio with my penrose by plugging in to the USB c on my laptop.
which model?
With cable you get better sound quality than bluetooth, dunno about xbox and ps4 but propably.
If I buy the Audeze penrose X version (Xbox) does it also work for me to use them on ps5? What would be the downside if any?
Good question. I'd assume there's. Reason they have different versions. But you'd have to check their site.
@@TheProvokedPrawn Yes, I ask why it would not be the first time that an arricular for a console works for both, for example the A50 for Xbox in PC mode works for PS4, according to a video I saw.
@@stevea1089 I will keep looking if, it is very important for me to know that, thanks
@@stevea1089 thanks, I am Playstation but This time I bought Xbox series X, later maybe PS5, If you have Xbox tell me you Gametag.
@@ChrizAfuego yes, the Penrose X works with the PS5!
So I can't connect to my android phone via USB C cable? FFS, so my wait goes on for a decent ps5 wired headset that also works on my phone but has wireless in very very rare circumstances. WiFi is not good for your brain.
I also hate hot ears!
You can’t with Penrose but you can use the USB C port for your phone with Mobius
@@mattheturk8158 £400 is a lot for something that doesn't look very comfortable and gives you hot ears though.
@@Daniel189HLL you can change the ear pads with ‘dekoni’ brand ear pads for Mobius they have 2 variants you can try. With Mobius you also get 3D head tracking features that’s why it’s 100 £ more than Penrose. They both have Bluetooth also if you want to connect them to your phone
@@mattheturk8158 I don't have a pc and think the tracking feature is a gimmick. Thanks for your reply.
@@Daniel189HLL sure man. You can use Mobius on consoles too just so you know. I in fact just got Mobius a couple minutes ago for my series x. Good luck to you
morbius
Hi there, so what your saying is i need to spend £600 to get them to work on PC,Xbox and PS5. I am sorry but that's a joke. for £300 they should work on all devices and you should not need to buy two sets. I could buy two sets of artic 9x or two sets of TB 700 gen 2 and have that option but save money to. I think ill give it a miss for that reason as I am not going to spend £600 ti get them to work on all devices. and white noise for £300 and less battery life than the TB which don't have white noise and better battery for less than half the price. sorry, this is a none sellrer
People have said that the Penrose X will work on both. I don't know and can't test but if you Google about you'll see it.
@@TheProvokedPrawn Thanks for the video, it is very informative. Regarding the PC, XBOX and PS5 issue. I would buy the PS5 version, and when in need connect the 3.5 cable to my XBOX controller.
Will the penrose dongle work with mobius?
I wouldn't think so.
