on the other hand, you have analog connectivity
so i don't get the point of wired usb, unless...
well ok. when it comes to 3.5 wired, who the hell wants to deal with extra cables while you charge the penrose???
Yes this is valid. I just thought it was odd. Why not allow USB-C on phones? But also some headsets (like the Corsair Virtuoso) offer better audio when plugged in. That headset has 96Khz when using a USB connection but only 40 when wireless. The same logic could apply here maybe? The Mobius was hi res too.
@@TheProvokedPrawn from what I read in the arctis pro wireless FAQ section, steelseries said that the 2.4ghz wireless isn't capable of sample rates above 48khz
@@shanedoesyoutube8001 indeed. You don't usually see wireless headsets with high Res. Hence why plugging in for it is an interesting option that's sadly lacking here.
i was prepared to buy this or mobius until i was told it has dac in it and cant use external dac. This i realize when you compare this with another headphone without dac it is unfair...also i already have a very good dac so this headphone isnt for me....
Wasnt impressed with these, i sent them back. Sound wasnt anything special i compared them with my audio technica ath-m50 and some Hyper X cloud 2 headset, The Penrose sounded very mediocre, this was wired mode. In wireless the distance is awful, I can go 15ft behind one wall and i loose connectivity. I have 4-5 wireless headsets and never had such a short range.
These are also incredible large and cumbersome , they look ridiculous on your head and my ears were getting very hot after about 5mins.
Shame because i`d been looking forward to them, but they didnt deliver the promise for me, the Hyper X are a 1/4 the price and I prefer them.
Gaming headsets all sound bad for the price
@@JimBobe I went with the Corsair hs70 they sound superb for the price. better than my audio technica when used as wired connection. so impressed with them. And I've used many headphones over the years that are alot more expensive.
@@johnw65uk If they are anything like the HS75's then they are sub average.
Comments like this is why it takes 2 months 2 decide between 2 headsets
@IcarusKid I chalked it up n ordered the penrose x on Amazon about a hour ago. They’re good about returns so figured I’d try em out for myself. I’ll try the A50’s from there if things go bad. Tired of watching reviews gonna just see for myself.
