Loved the M24 with the now-older M3A and PVS-10 optics. The 'puss-pad' cheek riser with 100mph tape was something. The magazine-fed option here......GOLD!!!!!
That guy makes a great point It’s funny because everyone always wants mil spec. Mil spec ammo, mil spec suppressor ect just because it’s mil spec doesn’t mean it’s the best a lot of commercial market products are better then mil spec. That being said the SF guys though seals, delta ect they do get some of the best stuff available out there.
M118 lr has a 175 sierra match king projectile with a bc of .505. At 2600ish fps that bullet stays supersonic well past 1000 yards. Also the same 190 grain pills the 300 win mag is launcing at 2900, i can basically get the same bullet at 2700 with 308 with a max charge of cfe223. Now the case length difference between the two cartridges is 15mm! Which is alot to push the same bullet 200 fps faster then the 308, and with more recoil 🤷♂️
I'm just thinking of how heavy that rifle must be adding on a high power stock, night vision scope, laser mount, bipod, next thing you know you're gonna attach a tactical chainsaw.
If you just have a standard Remington 700 SA. You could purchase the chassis for $2k. If you want the barrel threaded for a muzzle brake, well idk the cost on that. But you could get a solid Vortex scope instead of a Leupold and (if you want NV) get yourself an ATN scope (it ain’t cheap lmao). As for the barrel mod, I wouldn’t know the pricing on that, but I personally don’t think it’s necessary unless weight is a factor. All and all you’d be below 15k.

dam brother you are dating both of us. i remember the old m21 from my days in the 82nd (1st enlistment from 83 - 86) like yourself when i got handed my first m24 it was love at first trigger pull. so much so that i went out and bought a Remington 700 in .308. i haven't done any long range shooting like that since my retirement in 04. i know the shooters wanted to go to the 300 win mag, but is it really that much better a round than the 308? i mean a 1000 m shot with an M24 or m21 is not unheard of or impossible, but if the 300 win mag is that much better, shit i may have to invest in a new rifle...dam don't tell the old lady...
Yep, those were the days. The 300 win mag is really awesome, and they knew it back then. There's a reason they had the long-action on the M-24 way back then. Still, if I had to do it now; I would run 308 (or 6.5mm) gas-guns, paired with 338 bolt-guns. Gas-guns for urban shit and mile bolt guns for mountain/desert work. TR.
well i'm going to find out for myself here very soon. i quite literally just came home from the range. oh man i am in so much trouble when my better half gets home later this evening. she gonna shoot me with my own weapons. i spent an hour, maybe an hour and half with one of the gunsmiths i trust and he went into detail about the 300 win mag. so i did what i probably shouldn't have but i spent some money. i did only get a new Winchester 70 chambered for the 300 win mag. didn't have it in stock in that caliber, but it will be here soon enough. would have like a new Remington but from what i hear about that company today not a wise investment. very sad. don't tell me about the 338 i have only read about it. if i go out and buy another firearm it will be my head on a stick. but i do get the idea behind the team you describe. if i remember correctly, wasn't the long action on the m21 designed exactly like or similar to the Mauser? thanks for the intell brother, i will let you know how it goes though i know i will most likely not take a shot past 400 or 500 yards. doc out.
I've got one thing, you guys are so against calling a silencer a silencer. When hiram maxim designed the silencer on the early 1900's, that was literally its name. It was patented as silencer. So when you are trying to act smart and belittle people when you tell them it's a suppressor, not it's not. It's a silencer.
its a functionality thing. Since the can can't 100% silence the shot and just suppresses it, people feel like its misleading others calling it a silencer. For me, i really dont care either way.
Has anyone looked at the price of this , Remington 700 with a modular stock , it's not a special gun you can tell by the standard 700 bolt knob . 9,989 are you serious ?? I have custom rifles built regularly with Bartlien Barrels , actions blue printed and Mcmillan A5 stocks fully loaded and do not cost 1/3 of what that piece of crap cost ???
had a chance to shoot one of these. i'm no crackshot but solid groups at 800m was nothin is a fun time. can't say i'd sell my car for one of these though
The Lalilulelo the L is upside down, it's a turret cap that the L is printed on. it's upside down. looked funny to me when I watched this past my bedtime.
took ne a while to realize that thumbnail was from ArmA 3. Keep up the videos!

LOL kind of surprising to see my own Arma 3 M2010 as the thumbnail of this video :)
Thanks for sharing. TR

“photographic memory comes in handy”
“huh..I don't know about that”
some things you can't unsee...
Nice to see the M24 and the M2010 now also in CoD MW2022 as well

I LOVE that M2010!😍❤️ The 190 grain boat till High Point match made by Sierra goes 2,900 ft per second at the muzzle.
Very cool! Thanks for watching, TR
I can push the same bullets almost 2700 in 308 not that much different for almost 20mm in case length difference!
Karl, Never seen this one before? Just one question? What was, this Dave Davis in the Air Force?
He was in the Army

I have shot that rifle out to 600 it is an absolute beast it hits that steel hard at that range makes my 6.5 Creeds seem like pee shooters.
4:30 When you gift Barbie Castle to a 4 year old girl.
Guy acts like he's on Shark Tank
we have them in my unit. those poor m2010s are beat to hell
I bet

We went on mission in Poland (training) and when I had the night vision glass on it it was pretty heavy. She’s 18 pounds with just the scope and legs.
Hey Dave how y'all doing? Miss going out with y'all on the range.
And that's ARMA 3 Thumbnail right there
One of my friends who wants to be a sniper made a comment. "Why would you put a laser on a sniper?"...needless to say, he's going nowhere.
That gun is beautiful, love to shoot that piece rn
I'm so wondering now...
Is it released at civilian market?
Yes. Made by Remington Defense
are you playing arma 3 now a days
But wait, there’s more..........
i'd love one but they're extremely expensive, like over 15k kinda expensive

M24 was an inconvenience to lug on a 24 mile forced March... The m2010 is heavy as hell.
Thank you for your service, TR

fact. not sure if they are even doing forced marches anymore, but the guns are getting heavier, and the soldiers, weaker

At least that Sig Sauer MCX thing is mostly new
and the cheapest one i can find is still almos 6 grand
300 win mag gives our war fighters the ability to easily engage targets from 800 to 1200 and beyond. At 800 plus the 308 was really at its limits
For sure. Thanks for watching, TR
Arma 3 lmao
