Slice N Dice a drum sample in REAPER

There is a lot of concern recently over false Content ID claims on UA-cam. Two musicians create different songs but both use the same royalty-free loop in their song. If one does a content ID claim, the other musician can get a copyright strike against them or the video can stay up but the musician will receive no monetization from the video.In fact, I got a copyright notice on my drums from 10:46-12:12, saying it was from "Bounce in my step-Drums only" by Michael Baiardi. Reviewing the video, it seems to be against the drum sample I invented. How in the world can a drum sample be copyrighted? What's next - Chords and Scales?
