I was torn between Winspace and Yoeleo R12. If I was quite a bit younger I'd have gotten the Winspace, but I had a feeling its geometry would be a bit too aggressive for me at this point. Yoeleo frame is ~$200 less. Either way, these are really good bikes.
I'd prefer the SLC 2.0 rim with some hyper 40s and duraace R9000 or sram red 10 speed. It will be 1kg lighter. These bikes look cool but they're slower if you do any ascent at all. Despite what bike brands are trying to push, weight plays a huge role in climbing performance. I have a super heavy headturner of a bike: Basso diamante disc which is over 8kg ( it costed 6500 euro). I also have a 7kg bike that I bough for 1000 euro second hand. It's much faster on any hill, anyday and it's the same on the flats (maybe because rim brakes are actually more aero than disc).
Do some research press fit is better but needs accurate tolerances that's why firms do bsa winspace have very good tolerances mine has done 4000 miles and still sweet hope this helps
@markhall6026 BSA needs to be precise too. The reality is that it often isn't and people blame their bearings and cups when the tolerances of their BSA shell is what's bad
Which hyper wheels are these exactly? They have 3 options on the site. Shimano 11/12 & SRAM 11, SRAM 12 XDR, Campy. This is my first build and I want to use a 12pd SRAM. Do I need the XDR one?
What’s the story with SRAM and Shimano hoods not being flush on bars these days? They seem to always have a bit of a gap to the bartape. I keep seeing this in bike builds. I run Campy and don’t have this issue. Run whatever groupset you want. Not being elitist or anything. Just wondering… that would bum me out.
GC there is not enough content on this upgraded frameset. Would expecially wish to hear it how compares ride wise to the prior frameset and top tier framesets. Majorly the frame weigh has decreased (from 1050g to 880+/-35g for M size frame (Unpainted). Recall Cam nicholls pointing out the 1500 felt a bit sluggish, has the upgrade fixed this?
I seriously would not be surprised to see 33 or even 34 mm wide measured on the rim tires on bikes in the next 2 years. With Pogacar riding 31.3mm in the TDF if the internal widths keep blowing out the 30mm tires may measure 33 or more. At some point there’s an aero penalty but there’s gotta be a reason these super wide tires are being used for racing. Is it just rolling resistance? More comfort means less vertical deflection which is wasted energy and maybe less muscle fatigue. I think Peak Torque mentioned that the road chatter translates to muscle fatigue as that vibrational energy goes into the muscles of the legs.
I have the T1500 but I'm not very happy with it, there is a defect at the top of the headset bearing landing, maybe is not molded in a correct way, the bearing slacks. Unfortunately they didn't acknowledged the fault and no guarantee so I don't know how to fix it. Any suggestions?
Don’t ride a bike with BB86 and a DUB crankset. The bearings will wear out really quickly (1000-2000km) and you’ll be replacing the bottom bracket constantly. Use a GXP crank for BB86 press-fit bikes
