The bike is amazing, I had the T-1500 before a Silverado decided we didn’t need to share the road. If anyone is on the fence say, SL8, F, Madone, etc, save your money. The T-1550 is not only the best value, but hands down the best quality. Remember all carbon bikes comes from the same 3-4 factories in China. $5k is a bargain with GCP building. I was planning on building the next one there this fall, GCP I may be calling you.

After watching/reading media content last 2-3yrs into Direct from China bike Co’s . Ref: GC, China Cycling, Weight weenies, Hambini, Durianrider, I was very confident in buying from WinSpace. I bought a medium T1550 frame and built it up with Ultegra 8170 groupset, Light Bicycle 45mm rims C-King hubs.
Overall weight is 15.4lbs which is amazing for an aero bike. Build quality is great. WinsSpace have good fit tolerances on BB and Seatpost. For years I rode from major brands but can’t justify £12k for arguably the same or sometimes lesser Q.C build. For Ref my height is 5ft8”
I admire GC performance for not being an industry shill. I worked in the Bike trade for 13yrs, GCs approach is refreshingly honest and transparent, great work on Chinese product and explanations on Tubeless Straight Side truths.

I am not really a road biker, but I do love this channel. This bike looks bad ass! Considering it is "only" $5k is amazing considering a Specialized Tarmac SL8 with SRAM Force goes for $3.5k more. I also think it looks better than a SL8. If I was building a new road bike, I would seriously consider this bike.

I'd prefer the SLC 2.0 rim with some hyper 40s and duraace R9000 or sram red 10 speed. It will be 1kg lighter. These bikes look cool but they're slower if you do any ascent at all. Despite what bike brands are trying to push, weight plays a huge role in climbing performance. I have a super heavy headturner of a bike: Basso diamante disc which is over 8kg ( it costed 6500 euro). I also have a 7kg bike that I bough for 1000 euro second hand. It's much faster on any hill, anyday and it's the same on the flats (maybe because rim brakes are actually more aero than disc).

I seriously would not be surprised to see 33 or even 34 mm wide measured on the rim tires on bikes in the next 2 years. With Pogacar riding 31.3mm in the TDF if the internal widths keep blowing out the 30mm tires may measure 33 or more. At some point there’s an aero penalty but there’s gotta be a reason these super wide tires are being used for racing. Is it just rolling resistance? More comfort means less vertical deflection which is wasted energy and maybe less muscle fatigue. I think Peak Torque mentioned that the road chatter translates to muscle fatigue as that vibrational energy goes into the muscles of the legs.

Still do not trust QC on these off brand frames, the big brands have a decades long reputation to protect and I believe put more money into their engineering and quality control. Even when there are issues (specialized steerer tubes, emonda handlebars) these companies issue recalls, where these generic brand bikes likely would not do so willingly, and even if they wanted to would not have the means to recall bikes due to their lack of a dealer network. If they completely fuck up, they will just throw a different name on their frames and continue doing business as usual. Everything carries a cost for a reason, IMO

Def not spending 5k on a bike that's called "Winspace", the word itself doesn't speak to me in anyway. What's the other weird one? YOELOEO or some shit? Chinese bike companies pick the most unappealing names. I have the Elitewheels Drive 65D, opted for the black DRIVE decal because it makes no sense. "Drive" on a bike? WHY NOT "RIDE"? The frame design itself looks extremely good, would take an unbranded aliexpress frame and tack on some random shit like "BICYCLE" instead. No way am I having some weird off brand named frame hanging in my living room.

The future of cycling especially in road biking is the push to building your own superbike custom to you where we will no longer need those rip of high St manufactured so called top tier £8k,£10k,£12k bikes when we can all build our own with hight end components for a fraction of those prices that the main bike manufacturers charge us for their so called top tier superbikes.
