What if, instead of fast travel, you unlock "landing pads." As you go farther into a map, you unlock landing pads where you can summon the mantis. This way, when you come back, you can choose where to land so that you dont have to sprint the whole length of the map again just to get on forgotten chest at the very end.

That would be really helpful and a good way of keeping the game realistic. I did like the fact that you had to make your own way back but when you are trying to collect everything getting around, especially on zeffo and kashyyyk, takes ages

I really think that there is something to be done with the “force echo” ability, like puzzles or something... imagine having to expirience someone else going throug a maze, so that you know wich way to go. Any thoughts?

I want to see more combat variations. Such as:
Cal loses his lightsaber, allowing you to use a blaster.
You fly the Mantis, gunning down Tie fighters.
Also, theres a really overlooked BD-1 fact. He has jets in his legs. You can see it when you first unlock healing stims.

We need dismemberment in the game, it’s so unsatisfying when you slice a stromtrooper and they only get a lil cut on their helmet lmao
I disagree tbh because human dismemberments in video games are gonna be very "gory" (I say it like that because of the dismemberments not the blood for people who don't understand that I was talking about dismemberments and that I know how lightsaber cause the blood to stop when the wound is burned because my dad told me that one time.) [and no I don't like Disney with Star Wars but that's the only thing I agree with them because Disney isn't supposed to be gory (in the same sense as the other that I used)] and dismemberments while the enemies against a boss fight will not make sense because like when you fight the 2nd Sister a lot it will be weird for a boss to get dismembered so that's why I don't like the idea of dismemberments.

Agreed Lightsaber dismemberment for human enemies would be sweet, im sorry but it kills my immersion when lightsabers don’t do what they should to humans. And it really doesn’t help that you mostly fight human enemies.

In addition to everything you've said, I think we need;
1. Cal being more active in terms of force.
2. Cal jumping higher and longer distances.
3. Cal running properly. I was too sloppy.
4. Side quests, mini-games, activities in civil planets.
5. More characters around to interact with and to be at the places Cal visits.
6. To be able to operate Mantis and other vehicles.
7. Outer space mission.
On the jump thing you can just add force jump like grogu in book of boba feet
Here’s 2 ideas I have for the next Jedi Fallen Order game, 1. Similar to what they did for Star Wars the Force Unleashed, once you complete the game, you can gain alternate skins, similar to what they did with the Inquisitor skin they added, like Young Cal, Dark Lord Cal, maybe some movie Jedis, something along those lines. 2. While I love the Mantis, eventually the crew would need to get a new ship since the empire will probably shoot down anything that looks like the Mantis. Maybe you can choose what your new ship needs to be, or maybe you can make your own ship and have it fight against the empire in space

Dismemberment from lightsaber combat. Makes the immersion just that much better
meeting yoda, facing the emperor... you want force unleashed...
There’s a game called Absolver Downfall that allows you to customize your moveset, has 4 different stances, and attacks that allow you to transition between stances mid combo. Implementing that into Fallen Order 2 would be a great way to represent the different lightsaber forms. There’s also a school system where you can join essentially a clan, use their moveset, and eventually learn the individual moves that make it up.
Eli Wilson see, I don’t like that system at all, I tried Mount and Blade: Warbanner through Xbox Gamepass and pretty much immediately uninstalled it. It has a similar directional attack and blocking system, and It’s just awkward, especially on controller.
Yeah biggest difference is that Absolver’s main gimmick is that you can customize your move set. Absolver is also a much smaller game with graphics that just don’t compare to Fallen Order. Trying to implement a fighting style that complex where every move has their own animation would most likely double the development time of the game.
Zenron The system could be trimmed down, maybe reduced to 3 stances, obviously you wouldn’t need to account for the unarmed and fist weapons and their animations, or they could even just make each light saber form its own moveset, or even take a Dark Souls style approach with lightsabers and crystals.

Merin needs to come on missions with you as well as other characters and should be able to help you (so are not running around pretending to attack enemies)
I had an idea that maybe she could become cal’s apprentice, and have different skill tree abilities that combine the force with magick and a Lightsaber
This idea could be improved if they actually added other characters to the Stinger Mantis (in FO you can only get Merrin and that little creature from Bogano, which is pretty lame considering there's an entire achievement about that), each one with different abilities in combat. Like a bounty hunter who can use different weapons for crowd control (flamethrowers, grenades and stuff), a smuggler who would attack from far with blasters or even shock grenades to stun enemies and leave them vulnerable for you, or even some kind of battle droid which would take the role of a tank, with slow but powerful attacks and different defence options, to give a few examples. Furthermore, they would also provide the Mantis a different ambient with their dialogues, interactions, etc.

Maybe it doesn't fit in with Lucas' parameters, but I want to see Cal go down the Grey Jedi path. Learn to use and see the Force in a way purer than Light Side and Dark Side. The best case scenario is we get a good guy who can use Force Lightning, and that would be awesome!
I really wanna see more Inquisitors and Purge Troopers to fight, and yes, MORE PLANETS, more unique planets like Dathomir and Kashyyyk.
It's funny because the only unique planets on the game are Zeffo and Bogano. The rest are.... well... fan favourite locations. You can argue Nur would be unique, but it also features heavily in other SW media, so it's not really unique.
I personaly want to see city planet like corusant whith more people that DOSNT want to kill you on the first sight

I am a 100% down for playing as Merrin. It would be cool if you could switch between the two of them with Cal obviously being melee, and Merrin being ranged.
She’s arguably more powerful than your average Jedi, and possibly even Cal. This would make an interesting dynamic with abit of rivalry added to the relationship.

I think it would make sense to see Ahsoka in this story as while maybe she’s not a fully fledged rebel, but she would be an interesting character to interact with for a short portion of the story. Honestly I’d be more obsessed if we got captain Rex tbh
Im completely on board on with the development of the 7 lightsaber forms, it could make for a really interesting skill tree. Also of note is that with the 7 forms form VI is essentially a hybrid of the first 5 and forms and VII having other issues considering existing Canon.
Consideing that Jar'kai is a thing it could be super interesting developing the forms with this addition.
Another thought I had is that is Cal were to have different forms for them to be unlocked by finding other survivors or other things related to them for example getting form III from an interaction with kenobi or a force echo with the crashed venator from the end of the clone wars for form V.
Far out that was rambling but congrats to anyone who actually reads all of this.

And even if they didn't want to deal with characters such as kenobi directly maybe they could use the whole force echo thing and have an object related to the other notable master of form III Luminara Unduli.

An idea for future JFO things. Introduce clones who removed their control chips. We know a lot, and it was said that quite a few clones removed them. And have them fight alongside you sometimes. And more interactions with characters, like you can go on missions TOGETHER! Instead of them just standing there like a bunch of vegetables. (Edit: and by a lot, the ones most people know is Rex, Wolffe, and Gregor.)
I still think it'd be neat to see Kal and his Clones in an official video game, heck, even a passing reference talking about Clone Commandos defecting, or the disappearance of highly specialized Black Ops Clones. Just a reference to bring the old boys back into cannon

If I'm honest I think the customisation of the Stinger Mantis is redundant when we cannot actually fully interact it, and fly it ourselves. Also i know it's unlikely but I think the lightsaber needs to feel more like it is a weapon that cuts and dismembers. I liked the finishing moves in Fallen Order but the saber obviously went through the torso and not just cut the chest.
If Disney start to release more violent movies in the Marvels franchise, and also The Mandalorion hand some pretty violent moments. So I could possibly see this happening. Unlikely but there is a small possibility.

I'd love to be more rewarded for exploring, like more loot. Maybe crystals for more damage or so. In FO we mostly find cosmetics, which sometimes feel a little bit underwhelming
Everyone's talking about fighting maul or meeting the emperor, but I disagree entirely. The only reason Vader's entrance in Fallen Order made such an impact was because we haven't seen anyone from the films or with that power in the game before. To just throw Cal at the emperor or obi wan defeats the purpose, and doesn't necessarily make sense
dr103 that throws so much power-leveling out of wack. Vader is so impossibly strong compared to Cal in FO1 that it would take a Herculean leap to make it to Vader’s level. It would need to be a LONG game, or Cal would have to be Mary Sue’d into another galaxy.
100% agree with this. The fact that Vader appeared at the end, and was actually untouchable was amazing.
Maul would make sense because dothomir is in the game which, im not sure, is mauls home planet

Game mechanics: I would love seeing Cal dual-weilding lightsabers like Ahsoka Tano. This could also be great for modders who are trying to mod Ahsoka in the game.
story : I think bombastic is correct about maul being in the game as he could be a boss and possibly tell Cal about his torment as a means to turn Cal to the dark side. Then you could be given a choice A : join maul or B: fight him. If you join him this could function as an alternate storyline while if you fight him you get a boss battle
With the story what I think could be fun is hunting down Jedi masters and artefacts learning lessons from them. It adds a way to develop lightsaber combat as you can learn from holocrons. Form 5 from Anakin for example. It'd also be a way for cal to be shown his place in the galaxy learning from obi wan and yoda. Whilst I think Maul should only be a cameo like vader and not the main villain you could be focused on disrupting his organisation and have the main boss be Qi'ra this would add a sense of connectivity and would fill in the blanks of how the criminal underworld is run. Too much maul kills him from over exposure.

It would make no canonical sense for us to fight Maul in terms of power scaling. It would just be another lame “fight to half health” boss fight.
I'd love to see a return to Bracca, maybe there could be some Imperial secrets about what they found in terms of downed ships, maybe there were potential Jedi survivors as evidenced by the old starfighter they saw in Fallen Order #1. Cal could be investigating into their disappearance, and maybe you could find some of Cal's old friends, such as someone along the lines of Prauf (not him but someone). It'd make for more characters and it looks like a fun planet for more gameplay.
So i would imagine a mission in my ideal fallen order something like this.
The mantis lands on a planet, in a city.
Cal gets 3 objectives. A) Meet with merin at the market, where she wants to gather some materials for her magic stuff. B) help out greez gathering parts for an upgrade to the mantis. C) speak to an informant.
A) and B) are optional but will give you advantages later on. You can choose the order in which you wanna tackle these objectives.
So lets assume you start with A)
Cal meets Merin, she's already bought a lot of stuff and is pretty hyped how easily accessible these things are when you can just buy them at shops. The two go to get a last thing, on the way there they talk. A little flirty (let's face it, that's mostly the developers goal for the two of them), but in a cute way and not to direct. Less like they plan it and more like just a natural connection/chemistry. Just as we reach the store, we see someone running off, carrying what appears to be the thing we were searching for, stolen from the shop. Cal and Merin follow the thief and after a short but fast paced chase corner him. But the thief gets help from his gang, which results in a not to challenging melee fight. After Merin and Cal won, they head back to the shop, retrieving the items that were stolen and paying for what they needed. They split up, Merin goes back to the Mantis, Cal can now decide which objective to follow next. We do B) now, so we head to the scrap yard, where we find Greez in a heated argument with the scrap merchant. The part we need for the Mantis is somewhere behind the piles of scrapmetal, old ships, etc. The seller says he doesn't have the time to go looking for it, as he can't reach it without moving the piles, which would take days. So Cal offers to help looking for it. The seller doesn't believe he will be able to find it, but agrees, at Cals on risk. Cal searching for the part turns into a parcour mission as he tries to navigate deeper and deeper through the massive scrap yard. On the way we also get to fight some creatures that get in our way and eventually a bigger, tougher one, as a mini boss. Aswell as throughout the entire game their are hidden chests with outfits, lightsaber parts etc. We find the part, unlock a shortcut and deliver it to greez.
Now we want to do the last objective, C)
We go to meet with an informant. We reach his house, get the information we needed, but when we get out we realize someone reported us to the authorities. There are a lot more stormtroopers now and they attack basically on sight. Cal doesn't want to fight, because the risk of endangering the civilians around us is to high. This is were we get to now the new stealth system. We navigate silently through the map, avoiding every fight possible, killing of storm troopers from a distance with force attacks (throwing things and stuff like that) and knocking them out at close distance, without activating our lightsaber as it would draw too much attention. We reach the ship, but the mantis is locked in the hangar, so we can access the ship but can't leave with it. So while Cere is opening the door we have to hold oit and defend the ship from attacking stormtroopers and as the finale of this mission, an at-st. Cere opens the hangar doors, cere an cal get back on the ship and we leave the planet.

I can’t help but imagine this going down in my head and I love it. The idea of stealth being introduced to Jedi: Fallen Order sounds amazing. I can’t help but think of the stealth somewhat playing very similar to Batman Arkhamverse’s stealth but with the force and whatnot. You have an amazing idea going rn bro I’d Fr try to reach out if I were you. Maybe not to EA but to game makers in general
I hope Quinlan vos is in the second or third game as we know he is still alive and he could teach cal some new skills and teach him more about the force echo as he has it aswell

One person I'd love to see in the story is Rahm Kota, reintroduced into the canon. I'd love to see Cal, him, and maybe even Saw Gerrera attacking Imperial targets together in the next Fallen Order game. I mean, we all want Kota back in the canon, and I think this is the right time to put him in there, because it also fits in the canon timeline.
How would you feel about Starkiller being reintroduced to the cannon as a new grand Inquisitor and antagonist of the series
Cal wouldn’t stand a chance even against a weakened starkiller and it won’t happen because Disney hates the legends stuff so unfortunately we will never see him again in any version

I think that most Jedi in hiding would attempt to find Yoda and if they did, Yoda would tell them that they are the only hope in order to motivate them to take down the empire
Given that Yoda's done his fair share of trolling in Empire Strikes Back (but nowhere near the degree or frequency that Obi-Wan Kenobi did in TCW), I wouldn't be surprised if that was actually the case.
I’d love the option for Cal to use different types of lightsabers like: Normal, Crossguard, double blades and dual bladed
The Guy176 I imagine a crossguard will be more of a cosmetic option because it doesn’t really have a use aside from directing the energy from broken cracked crystals
Crossguard, as far as I know, only exists because of Kylo's broken crystal, plus it would be only a cosmetic change. And Cal already has a split saber, which basically combines the other three options (a true dual wielding option would be neat tho)

@@gamerhatch9072 Hard to animate a bona fide curved hilt, especially for a split sabre/sabrestaff. Cal alternates between single hand use and dual hands when using a single blade, and the blade positions would actually change from the curved hilt. There'd need to be two sets of animations for Cal and the enemies to accomodate what is essentially a cosmetic decision. Very unlikely that they'd be willing to pull it off properly

I wanna see a way to learn sith powers or balance the light and the dark like mace windu and revan and all lightsaber forms with for example form 7 draining less stamina and making more damage while form 5 would do alot more damage and drain damage alot and form 2 draining practically no stamina and doing not that much damage but instead crippling the enemy
I’d love a story where cal and the crew go around the galaxy trying to find other Jedi that are possibly alive, like we fight some Jedi that have turned like malicos, we help a Jedi save a colony that’s being terrorized by bandits or whatever. All this while being hunted down by the empire
They need to have more customization.

I could see all 3 saber types (single, double, dual) being like stances in Ghost of Tsushima, where each saber type works best for different enemy types. Map the Dpad to each saber type for on the fly changes plus combos that switch saber type mid-attack.

I was like yep... yep ... totally... as you covered each item... tattooine definitely it could be a mission where you go to places and do things that retcon right into the original trilogy sort of like because you did this... luke or other characters did or had that later... to add to the continuity... like because you did that this happened in the trilogy...... or a dagobah force development level where you engage with Yoda , or visiting bespin as a set up for Lando taking over... or what about revisiting KOTOR planets with references of the characters experiences there or how about going to concord dawn!? Get some Mandalorian action going on ?
I loved exploring the clone Wars era ships in that one planet and the minnie story of the jedi and padawan (I looked up the full story and it's really sad) and I would like a planet full of those ships and Easter eggs. I didn't really like the sequels but jaku would be cool to see and it would tie the sequels in more with the other starwars media

I completely agree with having more planets. IN general, I would love to have a longer game. The first time I played it, and after I explored everything, it took me 35 hours to complete. The second time around that I knew where I was going, it took me more like 20. I wish this was another 100+ hour game, but unfortunately, they don't make these anymore

And also I want to be able to explore and interact in city zones and be able to use vehicles more often.
Maul would roflstomp Cal even if Cal makes it as a Jedi Master-esque level of skill. Because these are the main characters and villains of the franchise. If I want anything, it's for Cal's "trilogy" (maybe it will be just that) is for it to be its own story, with its own heroes and villains. Not just a tribute to stories we already know the ending of. They pulled it off, masterfully, with the first game. They even managed to introduce the sense of real stakes and that there are some deeds that are undoable to our heroes. It's a big part of the story's themes. And of course, Maul as the main villain (like Trilla) means a hard ceiling: Cal cannot kill Maul because Maul dies on Obi-wan's hand a decade later
Two major things that I think could be added onto or improved and fall in order to would be vehicle control like that at at maybe we did go to Tatooine we could do something with pod races or just speeders and also if you look in the background of the meditation point in the skill tree you can see giant ball things maybe that's where Cal becomes a master in the force by unlocking all those big balls things
Marking in the map the treasure chest you discovered, but you not open yet. And maybe an module for BD-1 for mapping all the scenarios and if you upgrade to certain point, it will be able to discover secret areas around you.
Even though it is unlikely and would be a massively complicated map, coruscant would be awesome
I would also like to see Vader but it might be pointless as they did a great job at showing him as an unstoppable force in jfo and cal cant exactly beat him

dr103 Vader stomps Cal even if he’s using 20% of his power. That’s just how big the gap in their power is. I don’t think you truly understand the sheer might of the chosen one. Vader’s out there beating 5 jedi masters at the same time and you expect him to be beaten by some average jedi? The ending scene of JFO perfectly illustrates this and you somehow pit them up against each other and have Vader losing... weird.

Imagine if you could change your lightsaber form to fight in a truly unique way and maybe even the forms of different Star Wars characters like maul,Ashoka or kanan from rebels or even darth Vader it wound interest to see cal use these forms with there ups and downs would make it very creative to how you would combat a challenge in a new way

Not gonna lie, I feel like side missions fit perfectly into this game
Really liked the gameplay and the story! Would definitely play a part two. There are some things though that need change in my opinion: I thought the map was sometimes frustrating to use, so I’d like a redesign of that. Also, having to return to your ship was often tedious to do, so perhaps a fast travel option or multiple locations to enter your ship would be a good addition. Lastly, manual or automatic saving options would be nice. Especially on higher difficulty is was frustrating to have to restart from you last checkpoint after dying.
I just want either an option for dual wield or a reversed option(like Ahsoka)

2:42 I personally would want to be able to change your vest for a specific situation, so that there is a pro and a con, for example a more defensive vest, were you take less damage, but you're slower, or a "force vest" were the force echos you collect have their own skill tree were you can have the ability to get skills which have something to do with you're force meter, like moves use less force or something like that, but these bonuses only work for that vest.
I also kinda wanna see cal be able to use a baster, cause as much as I like lightsabers, they feel always feel just a bit too op and you can also customise the blaster, like make it more like a sniper, or a shotgun, something like that, but it's still all only obtainable via chests, no micro transactions

One thing I would like to see is cal using both light and dark like starkiller or Ezra when he uses the sith holocron I know he became a Jedi knight and all but if you need more force moves than the basic I would go with that
I wish that the second one would have a warning notification for when you go to face the end boss and you haven't maxed out your skill tree or traits. Just a suggestion for you to go and level up more. I just played through the story and when I got to Trilla at the end, I kept on getting wrecked and I had to lower the difficulty unfortunately. And then I went exploring after I beat the game, and there was so much dialogue i had missed and abilities that would've helped me in the end lol. I've learned from my mistakes but I don't want this to happen to new players.

I love the idea of different light saber styles! I know it would be so much work, but maybe if we had a button to switch styles, and as you use each lightsaber style, you can unlock a separate skill tree
