That had to be difficult, Dane. Blue Jay was in your life for a long time but if you didn't have it, it'd still be rotting away in the weeds. Keep up the great stuff and saving those old pieces of Transportation history!
It definitely was/is but it was time. Next project is enroute. Priority is the 66 “Grasshopper” finish this winter too. Btw WOT just arrived, can’t wait to read your feature 😬👍
Dean, I remember when you got blue Jay out of there and like I said it's time like I said, you got the kW. God bless you with that truck and keep on rolling with another one
Glad you showed that Moving On Kenworth. I grew up watching that show and I have all the shows on DVD. My most favorite TV show truck. I also like your Cabover K100s.
The kw s were different trucks on the moving on show I mean different diesel power cummins and Detroit if you pay attention you will notice it just like I watched the shoe as well. Now what engine powered the kw on bj and the bear 🐻 I think it was a dd 😊
Dangit Dane.....you almost jerked a tear. For some reason I feel like I lost an old friend. Life happens fast at the Trucker's Lounge. Hopefully there will be more to come in the future.
Nothing like the sound of some old iron running down the road. Sad to see ya sell Blue Jay. But at least it's going to a good home. Great video Dane as always..
The Truckers Lounge never disappoints. Glad that Blue Jay has found a new loving Home somewhere out West. Hope to see her again sometime out on the Highways and the Biways ...
Hey Dane, Just look at it like this without you Blue Jay is still in the briar's dying a slow death now he lives on. Allowing you to perhaps reach out and predicate the survival of one more semi truck from imminent decay and death. So love what your doing and doing right. Rock on Big D!!!!
O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Hey there, buddy! What a trip that GMC has had! You saved it, repaired it & then let someone else take it to the next level perhaps. You gave it life again & that’s a big thing! Thanks for sharing the transfer of it. Hope you get to see it again. All the way out to Colorado?! WOW! I didn’t think Wayne would sell that GMC! Bittersweet! Sweet old truck! It seems that there’s always another truck, another project, another car waiting to be grabbed up. You can only handle so many projects at one time, huh! Glad that Grasshopper is coming along. You’ve made lots of progress on it since we were there! Blessings my friend! 🥰🤩✌️
Dane did an awesome job rescuing and restoring blue Jay my husband Dan favorite trucks gm heavy he was broken hearted when gm stopped production on those classic trucks
Blue Jay wasn’t your first truck by any means, but it’s my own humble opinion that that Astro is what you’ve built your UA-cam channel following on. A bit of melancholy, for sure….but you saved that truck from rotting any further than it had and likely getting crushed which would’ve been a shame. You had fun, it’s in far better shape….and the next guy gets a great hobby truck to enjoy and improve. As I said in the comments on your Facebook page, now there’s *potentially* room to get “Sarge” in the shop along with both KW cabovers for the winter…..not to mention freedom-up funds to get “Grasshopper” on the road! Of course, there’s always the possibility you have something else to take Blue Jay’s spot….
Speaking of Blue Jay Going to his nee home in Colorado;there is an Owner-Operator by the name of Douglas Grahm in Colorado who owns a rare Peterbilt 359 Extended Hood with a 3408 Caterpiller that he works everyday delivering loads all over the state of Colorado.Rocky Mountain Peterbilt's out of Greely,Colorado has done a UA-cam video of his rare truck;the video is almost 4 years old but you should check out the video.
The people who love these cabovers never had to make a living driving and sleeping in them I did it in 1999.2000.2001.otr. coast to coast border to border. Climb over dogbox laying down to get dressed not to mention the constant pounding on your body takes cause of short wheel base😂😢😅
Hello driver! Looks like Christmas came early for you! Nice gifts...just wondering why you got rid of Blue Jay??..10-4 driver keep up the good work and keep the great videos coming!! I'm gone
Hey Driva we just gotta experience as many of these gems as possible and share the experiences. I love to hear the excitement of the new owners just like when I run get to experience a new of truckin history. Ten four? 3s we gawn 😬👍
Hi Dane, I have a 1975 Chevy Titan that has been sitting in the woods since 1996, I am now starting to get it back on the road, if I have any questions I will definitely ask you .

I’m happy at the excitement of the new owner he’s going to enjoy it as a hobby truck too. We all deserve the experience and maybe something special will come along. Wink wink

Awe bummer! I loved that truck!

Jesus is the way, the truth, the life. No one comes to the father but by him. No man made religions required.
Amen brother
