- In the North of Mali, the Kounta nomads still travel across the desert to reach the salt mines of southern Algeria. For 40 days, they will walk 1500 km to get 6 tonnes of "white gold" from the Taoudenni mines. This great salt journey is called Azalaï. Follow along to see how they make this incredible journey.

Excellent doc. The narrative dialogue is very effective. I wonder why many of the people are not wearing any kind of foot covering.

@@diiriyetv I have served world governments to protect other's rights to have water and air to breathe, so yes I earned my right to have, the people I protected did not, it was a gift to them for a limited time, until they earn it also
