The claymores btw Ghillie didn’t go off because they have an arm time of a few seconds also they don’t go off until they move if they are already on it when it gets armed. The times in the clips you died to it not working was because you just Placed it so it wasn’t armed yet and once it was the person stood still until he tried to run away when it went off. The damage is another story and has to probably do with a combination of both the Distance the player was from the blast and the HP increase

I knew this exact kind of thing was gonna happen when they added an extra 50 health. 150 health is already difficult to balance weapons around on top of Sledgehammer's history of cruddy balance.
Health is great though imo. MW19 and MWII was such a miserable experience with the 100 hp because of how quick you would die to anything. This hp gives you a chance to fight back if you get shot at making for the better player to win since they have to hit their shots consistently. My problem is the MWII guns not being balanced at all for this game despite them saying it is

I saw this coming a mile away when they said they were carrying weapons over AND increasing the health. I had hoped they would take that into account and adjust their damage, but I guess that's on me for expecting CoD dev to not be incompetent for once.
I never even knew the bolt action rifles were 2 shot kills. I was moreso stunned by the amount of flinch in this game when everyone runs +P and especially hollow point ammo types.
Yeah I don’t understand it either when I was using the longbow in the beta, it was one shotting people from miles away. It was so much fun to use. The ads was really fast! But the second the full game came out and I tried using the longbow again, it was *horrible*. It kept 2 shotting every enemy I went up against and the ads was so slow. Even with all the best ADS attachments..
The m16 is my go to. But in MW3 since there is no tuning, the recoil and aiming stability on the M16 is pretty annoying. Even with attachments it feels way too jumpy and shaky. Then I use the the MCW and it feels like I’m using a cheat code with how little recoil it has. This game’s weapon balance reeks of sewage.
I recall struggling to use a lot of the MW2 weapons in this game and then I picked up a players AMR9 and immediately started cleaning up with it. Night and day difference in terms of balancing. Agree with your points. Good video.

Cod guns used to be side grades, with pros and cons, in most games the first weapon you unlock competes with whatever unlocks at max level. In MW3, certain guns (like the ACR and the KV) are objectively better than any other option, and there's no reason to use anything else.

What is also funny about the weapon balancing is the Longbow sniper rifle.. i mean it's a sniper right? However the min. damage range is 17 meters?? Since the longbow from the looks of it looks like an ak47 variant, the actuall ak47 assault rifle has a much better min. Damage range. You literally have to snipe someone in the head for long distance if you wanna one shot😂
Y’all think that this game’s weapon balancing is the worst, Look at MW2, BO1, and MW3’s weapon balancing. MW2 weapon balancing is a literal joke. BO1 weapon balancing is easily the worst weapon balancing I’ve ever experienced, as the Assault Rifles dominated in every aspect, close-mid-long range. No need to use any other gun than the Assault Rifles. MW3 weapon balancing is just as bad as BO1’s weapon balancing, as they tried to introduce high Gun Kick with high View Kick (which adds terrible visual recoil), meaning they tried this on Machine Pistols, Assault Rifles (except for Scar-L and ACR 6.8), and the LMGs, making these guns completely unusable. They also forced LMG players (also the Barrett 50cal.) to go prone or use the Thermal Scope to eliminate the Gun Kick for better accuracy.
Weapon balance is always awful on the slower TTK games. The only reason I prefer the faster TTK people will probably disagree with me but every cod I’ve played with slow TTKs have horrible weapon balance
Yeah they really gutted a lot of the one hit kill weapons like slug shotguns and marksmans. They have such a tiny one hit kill area and small range. I know it was to balance the fact that automatics have a longer time to kill with 150 health but I feel like they’re TOO hard to use.
In fact the real .450 caliber round the Sidewinder is meant to fire is faster at ~670 m/s. Oh yeah and in Black Ops 2 the crossbow was pump-action and magazine-fed so it fired faster and it still one-shot anywhere at any range.
Ngl almost every weapon hit to register is different. Example : in my POV i hit 5 hitmarker, but in the killcam i only hit 2. Idk if it's a bug or just connection problem

With this TTK MP turned into WZ, if you go off meta you have virtually no chance against the fucking MCW and the Holger. The thing I can’t get my head around is that Cold War has 150hp too, and somehow the TTK in this game is longer. If you bring this up in a COD UA-camr comment section, you get the classics “get good” “then don’t play it”. Hit detection and the million skill based mechanics in the game make the ttk even more inconsistent and frustrating

That sniper only one shots to the upper chest up to I think 15 metres. A sniper rifle with less range than an assault rifle 😐

I played multiplayer for about a week and gave up on it I hate the maps the guns everything id rather play the last multiplayer
