    The cost per product is very high when you break it down. As a consumer, it’s hard to justify it; especially if you’re planning to sell your creations.
    Jdiction sent me ResinCrete to try, however, making a video about it was was my own decision

    Seems more like plaster to me. Do they state anywhere what‘s actually in the product? I’m wondering if it’s even legal to call this resin at all since it’s definitely not plastic xD

      Yea plaster/ceramic/cement/gypsum. Not 100% positive but Just like jesmonite, I think it does contain some water based acrylic resin in the formula.

    I adore that you not only compared the product in various ways, but you also included a financial breakdown. Given that you needed the special paints, which I know aren't cheap like acrylics, I don't think this is anything I'd care to try.

    I had to giggle when you started lining up all your attempts together. Cute bunch. Great review. I’ve seen plaster as a resin alternative on my TikTok feed

    Sorry for the plethora of comments, friend.
    I heard someone refer to ResinCrete, ran that thru the near worthless search feature on UA-cam, and yours was the first one I watched. Seems like it's a quirky product with all the fuss it had with pigments, etc.
    I can't really think of anything I'd be interested in using it for, quite frankly, so thanks for saving me an impulse purchase! 😅

    I actually think it’s kind of neat that you can use curable paint on it like a ceramic

    This video came out some hours after I uploaded my first video lol. And it is about planters as well. Wild coincidence.
    Love the vid! Very interesting 💜

    My understanding is resincrete needs to be sealed before it can be painted. Can use an acrylic type sealer- spray or brushed on. That was a game changer for me

    nice tests, looks like plaster of paris to me, is there actually resin in it? plaster of paris also gets warm when curing

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Рік тому

      After some research, I think this is just like plaster of Paris. There is no resin in it.

    since its water based u can prob reuse the dried pieces if you find a way to grind them into a powder and add water again

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Рік тому

      Hmmm…i don’t think so since it seem like it goes through a chemical reaction during the curing process.

    Thank you for the video. Have watched several on Resincrete and I'm seeing more disadvantages that advantages. Price per product produced is definitely poor. Good to know though.

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Рік тому +1

      I have to agree with you! It’s not something I would try it myself if it was out of my own pocket. Just can’t justify the price; especially if I’m planning to sell.

    I just tried resincrete and I love it but I am struggling to find a paint product that sticks and is durable. I tried folk art brand enamel because I didn’t want to break into my super expensive Pebeo paints. What paint did you use that worked? Did you have to put down a base first? I really would love to use this with my daughter as a craft project she can do with Mommy, she’s 4, but it only works if I can get what I need out of it and it’s safe for her to be around.

      I mentioned and demonstrated in the video. I used multi surface paint and baked it at a lower temp than the instruction

    • @AmyMade

      Yes you need a scale. This was my first time using this product too. Just follow the direction

    Kind of a let down pigment and acrylics don't work

    • @AmyMade
      @AmyMade  Рік тому

      Well, I haven’t tried acrylic paint but I’m guessing the pigment is not strong enough for the color to show through the white. I’m going to try with jesmonite pigments and see if they’ll work better
