  • Welcome to my channel! Let's make some aesthetic eco resin candle holder and trays.
    Today's DIY is created with an ECO Resin, Resincrete. Thank you JDiction for sending me some products to try. They mentioned that this DIY Eco Resin is similar to Jesmonite, it's user-friendly and eco-friendly, requiring just water to mix. The ratio can be tricky, so I plug it into a ratio calculator. Here is the one I use (www.calculator.... I weigh out the powder (base) first and input the weight in grams to calculate the required amount of water.
    ResinCrete uses water so it’s not as bulky to store. You can make beautiful pastel colours with acrylic paint which is affordable and widely available. If you add too much water, the piece can feel chalky. Even with the correct ratios, ResinCrete doesn’t feel as durable as Jesmonite and scratches easily. However, this isn’t a deal breaker if you’re casting decor items. Overall, I love that you can create pretty colours just by adding acrylic paint! With Jesmonite, I couldn't create the pretty pastel colours that I envisioned and the pigments are hard to find in store and can be pricey. Try it out and let me know what you think :)

    Hey i wanted to try making some candles and the molds for myself as a hobby. Would you be able to tell where to buy all these cute silicone molds from? For cute trays and candle cups???

      Hey! To be honest, the best prices for molds that I've found are usually on Temu, Aliexpress, but it takes longer to ship. Some of the molds aren't the best quality so it's a hit or miss. If you want the fastest shipping method, you can find most of these molds on Amazon as well. I'd search and compare the prices and see what works for you. I have some links in the description of my videos :) Have fun with your new hobby!

      That’s a great question. I haven’t figured that out yet, but if you find an answer please let us know! If I get around to making more resin Crete creations, I’ll share my findings :) Thank you so much for watching!

    Is this jesmonite?

    • @joolieshome
      @joolieshome  5 місяців тому

      Hi! It's an ecoresin called ResinCrete. I find it less durable than Jesmonite, but it's easy to work with and good for trays or molds that don't have small details that may break off.

    Hi, I was thinking of purchasing the Resin Crete and want to make candle vessels to hold candle wax, can the wax be poured into a vessel made with the Resin Crete?

      Hi! Thank you for watching :)
      I made a candle jar with a similar product last month for personal use because the company actually had a video using them as candle Jars. Resin Crete didn’t feel as durable so I’m not sure if they’ll be heat resistant. I’d probably reach out to them to double check :)

      Hello, I hope you are well. I'm still coming because of the same question you have. I am between choosing Jesmonite or ResinCrete for the containers of my candles. But I'm worried about heat resistance.
      How did your project go? Thank you in advance!

      @@blesicool2632 I have not tried it yet, I ended up using cement all and gypsum cement for my projects.
