That is an outstanding result for tiny pieces of Ore . That was an excellent tutorial on geological veins and how they be anywhere but also nowhere. Can't wait to see how you progress in your endeavors. Cheers
Absolutely Steve! It can be really challenging trying to put the geologic puzzle pieces together. Sometimes you just have to dig down and prospect on a hunch/mild indicators. Many of the oldtimers did just that!
@@ColoradoGoldCamp The old timers were systematic and they didn't screw around with something that didn't repay their grub stake! What was the paying price of Au in those days?
Great video. You and Jeff Williams are the only two who give the viewers knowledge of the minerals and the reason or purpose of what they are and how they came about . It drives me nuts when you watch these other cave explorers who either don't talk about the rocks or they guess at it and then you're totally lost 🤣 Keep up the great work 👍

Cool place to explore it would seem. Nice return on the samples as well. All that dry ground had me crying tho... Still buried in 2+ feet of snow up here. ugghh.

careful for snakes. I almost got struck in the NECK today scaling around boulders. I have no idea how a timber rattler got up in between those boulders, on a shelf so it was right at my neck as I went to pass by. I am lucky I startled it and caused to go back further. Had I leaned the other direction, close to where the snake was, I likely wouldn't be home right now...
Holy....that is crazy Jax. Rattlers are dangerous enough below the knees. A bite on the neck or face would make for a really bad day! Glad you made it out safe!
I am finding your channel very educational and interesting to watch. I live here in Colorado and have always liked rock hunting, but now trying to find gold has piqued my interest. I have found some areas which seem to be promising that have lots of quartz with mineralization in an area where prospecting was at one time done and am thinking about checking to make sure it is OK to prospect. Thanks for this video and the others I have seen.
Absolutely CM! There is still tremendous potential to find minerals here in Colorado. You have to first determine if the land is public or private. If public, then you must determine if there is an active claim there or not. Best of luck in your hunt and enjoy!
About The Big "Odd" White Rock,.. So, if my memory prevails true, I believe that back in "The Day", the Indians utilized that rock for heat. During recent excavation near the Arapahoe Bar Public Panning Area, workers uncovered a precious piece around the same size.... Have a Beautifully "Warm" Day!!

Where those 2 rocks were you should look directly above and below that. not necessarily under the rocks. Those were markers for sure
