My Virgin Kitchen is a UA-cam cooking channel created when I wanted to teach myself how to cook and create a video diary of the journey / mrbarrylewis . I have never had a professional lesson & am just your every day chap attempting recipes to inspire you guys to try too. I upload 2 recipe videos per week, but some fun is had too on Sunday when it is Funday where anything goes....including giant foods, mini foods, taste testing foods sent from around the World, kitchen gadget testing and many more. Any requests for recipes / cool stuff you've seen let me know! My Virgin Kitchen if he never Fails to dissapoint our expectations then doesn't that mean he always dissapoint our expectations
Mandel is Almond therfor it had to get a marzipan-y taste
Melissa is also cold Lemongrass Leaves due to it's flavour and odour being very close
Barry Mandeln are Almonds...marzipan is made from almonds so that is why it tastes like it

As soon as I saw the FORK I had to post, I've been using a fork to stir my hot chocolate all my life and have instilled that into my children as well, It's like using a little whisk breaking any clumps and incorporating the mix in the milk much quicker than any spoon. Well done Barry!!

Lol I got excited as well all of my family have only ever used a fork for things like hot chocolate and other powdered drink things. I was horrified when my 1st housemate used a spoon to mix his hot chocolate lol.

Hi Barry and crew. Melissa is an herb also called Lemon Balm. So it makes sense to be in a lemon drink. Supposed to help lower blood pressure and anxiety among other things. Always had the opposite effect on me. With the Elderberry it sounds so refreshing though.

Melissa is an extract from a plant called 'Bee Balm'. It's Latin name is 'Melissa Officianalis' Melissa is the Greek name for 'Bee'. The plant has a delicious lemony scent. The 'Ovomaltine spread' reminds me of the old bedtime drink 'Ovaltine', which contained eggs and malt. It was stupidly moreish.

At B&M you can get Malteser spread Barry, it is chocolate spread with crunchy bits in
I know I'm late but we've had Ovomaltine in the UK for a very long time, it's just called Ovaltine here :) It's a malt drink, sorta in the same way as malteasers because they have the same malty kinda taste.
That ovalmalteane reminds me of the malteasers spread sold here in the uk

You can get the chocolate drink power and the chocolate spread stuff on amazon! Sadly you can't get the cheese fondue pots but you can buy the cheese itself.
The little crunchy bits in the ovamaltine is malt balls, like inside maltesers

You can get the foamy bananas covered in chocolate in the UK. most cheap pick and mix shops have them.
I just had those banana things in a box from universal yums. I may not have been that exact brand, but I loved them.

I know the Dunkin Donuts hot chocolate AND the Caotina hot chocolate. Your comparison of the two is spot on, but I've never thought about that. Good on you.
When eating spicy hot food. To cool off don't drink water. Water cools off when drinking but after the heat comes back. Instead drink milk to cool off. Milk coats the throat and keeps things nice and cool.

Mandel (mandle?) means almonds, which marzipan is made from. (still can't believe you don't like marzipan... Paired with high quality dark chocolate... Heaven!)

i'm from switzerland but never liked the ovomaltine things because of the malt in it (like the maltesers) but i really love the Ovomaltine Crunch, although the small crunchy things in it are out of these malt it's much better than nuttela. sorry for my english 😂

The white Chrabeli cookies are ment to be really hard even after freshly making them but they harden up very quick, try it with dunking them in coffee or hot chocolat. But they are eatable. And are ment to taste like anise
