This is the longest video I've ever watched. I'm not a painter or have any plans on trying, I'm a musician and that takes up my time, but I could not stop watching this. I was absolutely transfixed on this painting. Gorgeous scene and I wish I was around that fire with my guitar and friends having a good time!!!!! Brilliant.

I love how dynamic this crackling fire is. I also really appreciate it. Too many arttube channels try to condense it down to 10 minute blurbs or "5 quick tips." You're taking a complicated subject and letting it be as complicated as it needs to be.
    Appreciate it.

I've skipped through, I'm sad to say, because I'm not painting with you. You are a new discovery for me, so since I've found you, I will return. I'm in the southern hemisphere where it's winter and I've just come from a good session of watching my combustion fire as I got it re-crackling into life after being damped down overnight. Thank you for this, it's beautiful. I particularly appreciate you explaining the type of brushes you use, show us those brushes, encouraging us newbies not to give up when a picture doesn't appear as great as we want (at first), and the importance of layering and drying. A lot of artists on UA-cam don't give a full picture of the process and the "why." Great job on your tutorial!

Yes thank you patrons. You're not just supporting the artist/s, but those without means, and students, but those who are unable to work, using or taking up art for therapy and helping them heal and function again building confidence through achievement and reflection. We love you.

My interest in painting is crackling after watching this video! The way you explained techniques out instead of just showing you doing it. Yes it made the video 2 hours, but I learned so much and I can't wait to put my new knowledge to practice!

I only use Daler-Rowney acrylic paints and paint brushes because I'm a college student and I've actually found I've been able to keep up with artists who use higher quality stuff!

I have never painted fire before. It was extremely intimidating. After watching you paint the fire it actually looked like it was crackling. I love that you give tips and tricks to get different effects, depending on what you want. Thank you so much for the lesson and I will watch many more.
