Just found your channel! This 62 y/o “crazy chicken lady” has now added quail to her Urban back yard homestead!! Lol! Love your 100$ cage build -gonna ask my husband to try your cage style. Just hatched 6 quail under my silkie hen and have 11 in incubator!! So excited over those baby quail “Zooming” all around their brooder!!
Love that style cage. I like the idea of keeping my breeders in a mated group, rather than a larger pen that holds 30-40 birds. I would rather have breeder sets and egg layers and grow outs. That way i have hatching eggs, eating eggs and meat all in their own little huts.
Holy crap man that is a real nice setup. I just hatched out our 1st round of quail.. terrible hatch rate ended up with only 7/36 .. but im definitely gonna build off your awesome design
