A lot of Filipinos especially in Manila like eating non Filipino food when out of their houses. Japanese, Korean, MiddleEastern, burgers, Thai, Italian , etc. The good stuff you'll find in private parties and especially in Fiestas (village parties) where the lechon, lumpia, pancit, embotido, caldereta, leche flan, comes out.
Yeah, Filipinos love to eat all kinds of cuisines, I love it too😁 I think to have more local cuisine going to province or smaller towns will increase my chances 😊
I've been to your country Estonis mostly in Tallinn during our Baltics tour..enjoyed the old historic part of the city, admired your people's love of country using music for freedom. The country is close to Russia and Scandinavia especially Finland Thank you for sharing.
@@Gymson probably cheese since people often pair it with ube (the purple ice cream, taro is a similar root crop but different). it doesn't really taste like cheese unless you get the version that has small chunks of processed cheese mixed in
Ube is very popular in the Philippines especially with the Filipino dessert called halo halo, have you tried it. I can't be sure whether ube is taro or purple sweet potato.
If you live in Makati there are restaurants inside the malls that are of Filipino origin. Try to google these restaurants: Mannam, Mesa and Toyo. I cannot say they are as authentic as where they originated from the provinces but it is pretty close. They are in the perimeter of Makati so I recommend these restaurants. Vloggers usually find BGC at lot better there are a lot of Mannam (slang for Manyanan meaning delicious in Kapangpanggan dialect in the north) there not sure if these’s Mesa there (which means table in Spanish) but I’m sure there is no Toyo there. You might want to try Mang Inasal as well, it’s grilled chicken and pork at a very affordable price. I find a lot of foreigners liking how it’s marinated and how it’s tender. Enjoy the country! 😊
