@@AudioAdvice that’s a fancy way of saying “A LOT” without actually saying it. The epson alone is $4,000. Add in all the B&W speakers, what is more than likely an unnecessary Screen Innovations screen, plus whatever extra for their handy work, this is in the ballpark of 15k-20k. I’ve seen many companies like these that “work with your budget” but even if you tell them you have a $2000 Epson LS300 they’ll tell you the cheapest “good screen” is an SI for $4000. These kind of companies cater to the more high end (which no hate at all. Make your money, boo boo). A bit of research and some easy diy and goi could make something this comparable in quality for half the price or less.
@@namenotfound617 while I 100% agreed with you, not everyone is handy and capable of doing dyi or have time for it, that’s where audio advice or such companies come to play and they need to make money too! Great designed and setup. you guys are the best. Question.. I have a Denon receiver with two subs but actually its only puts one Signal,so they’re basically one. I have one behind my TV and one behind my sofa in a 12 x 12 room. Should I have these subs on different phases like one on 180 and one on one zero? And I’ve been trying to calibrate them with no luck. Your videos are Terrific. I love home theater projects.thanks again Joe
Thank you. There is a good way to do this we go over in our subwoofer section in this article and video www.audioadvice.com/videos-reviews/best-home-theater-audio-upgrades-optimizations/ We also link to some test tones. The idea is to play a steady test tone at the frequency you have your sub crossed over at. Try the phase at each position and which ever sounds louder at your seating position in the right spot. Since you have a 12 by 12 room we would also suggest you try moving the subs around a bit to see if there is a spot where the bass sounds more even. Thanks for watching
What are your thoughts on ultra short throw laser projectors? Since they can use those special screens that only reflect the upward light, do they provide better contrast?
I love how informative your UA-cam channel is and the amount of educational tools that you provide on your website. I'm considering changing my screen from 16:9 to 2:4:1. I have a SONY VPL-VW325ES. Do I need an anamorphic lens for it to make sense? I see that there isn't one on this EPSON. They are SOOO expensive. Please advise?
Thanks very much! Yes with great 325 you need an anamorphic lens. There is a newer and less expensive direct attach Panamorph for the 325 but it’s still more than the 325. Epson offers lens memory for widescreen at a very low price point. Please reach out to our team at www.audio advice.com for more info.
I would wonder, putting all/most the speakers into the frame in the that kind of wall, there is no resonance in the walls ? Not having a cantered chair, is due to family, I guess, but would be nice to have have it. The rear speaker just behind acoustic absorbers and differs seem little bit odd. And is the reverse measured and optimised, or the installation is more to please the visual part (never-mind the question, watched the full video now)? And how is the signal for the gaming console controller, when it is hidden behind the doors ? Overall very nice installation, as always.
It would be great if everything was in the wide aspect or at least had an option for it. 16x9 is so out dated today and the cost of TVs have come down so much they should just move to match what movies are shot in. I say down with the bars on the screens!
