Thanks for watching, all! Hopefully you try out at least 1 of these variants! What else have you used with the shield dog? Let us know in the comments!
I would love to see a super in-depth video 45mins to an hour on building the more advanced ev spreads. I always hear you talking about even numbers for maximizing benefits from +1 stat boosts, numbers divisible by 16 for grassy terrain, etc. and I would love to see a video all about creating the absolute best ev spreads.
Zamazenta was the first restricted I built a team around and I was so happy to finally use a body press mon with chien pao that actually has a speed stat. Ever since learning how SOR interact with body press I always like having the non restricted idbp mons paired up with pao in previous formats for immediate damage in past formats and now with zamazenta being legal, pao + body press mon has really peaked in power
I've been working with Zamazenta and focus sash ditto. I haven't been running Chien Pao, I see it's usage with Zama is crazy, am I throwing by now running it? Ditto Solves the CalyS matchup
I have been on record complaining about how this regulation in particular favors special attackers (which are in my opinion the consistently less cool and interesting restricteds) and how much that bothers me, and I still stand by that, but these teams and another Zama team I saw off of Reddit has me thinking I might jump back into this regulation and give it a shot
On the last team does the 26 SpA IVs on Zama and the 16 SpA IVs on the Chein-Pao matter? I need to get another Zama anyways which shouldn't take too long with the Suicune route and my Violet save still hasn't caught Chein so It's not a huge pita, but i'd rather not have to soft reset a bunch if I don't need to.
Happy New Year, I have questions when it comes to evs for zacian and Zamazneta. Doesn't it make more sense to focus the remaining evs in Hp since their defenses are so high ?
Well for Zamazenta the stronger your defense stat is the harder your Body Press hits, so you get more value there. Zacian is a different story but you need a decent amount of speed investment to outspeed the base 135s that you don't have as much to spare for the HP stat unless you go for a slower bulkier Adamant build.
Ive been using the first team for the past few days. I struggle with against tera fairy Miraidon and electric seed Farigiraf. Do you have any ideas on how to beat that?
Yep - a well played chien pao and rillaboom. You want play the pivot war with terrain and force that tera fairy so heavy slam can win the end game from zamazenta. Pressure the farigiraf with the pao and rillaboom. The last bring can be w.e depending on that team comp.
Love your video I’ve wanted to make a zama team for a bit now and I had an idea to pair with cress for lunuar blessing to get rid of burns I think I could be interesting I would love to hear you thoughts 😊
I think there's too much calyrex shadow, chien pao, incin and SS urshifu for cresselia to be effective. In the prior 4 months of Regulation G it was nowhere to be found. I think it can work in some games but overall amoongus is still the best healer.
In pokemon, when you invest your vitamins to increase a stat, usually it goes up by 1 point. However, in the natured stat that you chose (ex: adamant), you'll see a "bump" in that stat only when you invest EVs. On Pokemon Showdown, there are 3 distinct points within the 252 bar where the stat will increase by 2 points instead of one. Look at Heatran and make it modest. You'll see that as you move the slider and get it to +76 the special attack increases by 2 points instead of one! Amazing! From here, the rule is that for every 80 EVs invested after the first bump, you'll see it again. So +156 and +236 investment in special attack you'll see the 2nd and 3rd bump. This is only 1 example for 1 pokemon. Another Pokemon may see the bumps elsewhere in their natured stat. Hopefully this helps!

I did it already in the summer. Check our "Stop 252 252 now How to optimize EV spreads" video. I reveal the formula!

It is very strong, yes
Happy New Year! 🎊🎊

You can play it that way, sure. I don't think it "solves" it but it helps to have another restricted

try it before you knock it!
Calyrex-Shadow and Zamazenta-Crowned would make a good duo
Great video as usual btw
Yes they would!
@@CloverBells Definitely a good team idea!

no they don't matter
@@CloverBells Thanks!
21:34 What about running Taunt on Urshifu instead of Substitute? It could help prevent Trick Room and completely shut down Amoonguss.
It can work too but if they have a redirector then it doesn't help. However you can lead a fake out user with the Taunt to try and help.
29:55 you put sandstorm not sandshear storm, might want to update paste. But yeah zamezenta has improved this gen even with 5 less defenses.
Yes i was told that I'm gonna do it soon when I return home
Happy new year Clover 🎉
happy new year!
Finally, my favorite restricted
good choice
@ surprised you didn’t put the Stockholm variation. I used an edited version of that a ton in 24regG
Or was it Taiwan?
@@mitchchargervgc I think 5 variations is enough to get people started lol
Zamazenta from worst mon in swsh to best mon in sv. Btw happy new year clover.
All because it got Body Press! Happy new year!

@CloverBells Thanks! I'll give it some more testing. Plenty of Miraidon out there.. will definitely try some of these other teams you put out!
@@scottkirby4559 good luck!
Error on the scarf Lando paste. Sandstorm instead of sandshear storm. Anyways thanks clover always happy new years
Thank you, and you as well!
I was using rilla and max speed incin has been popping up. Do you think it is worth it to outspeed?
If you want, yes!
Love your video

We did!
Good start of 2025! Zamazenta! 🫶
