MC-7 is my vote! Haha! Ok, but for reals- what word do you say differently than it’s spelled? Peter and I talk about the words we say funny in today’s video :) let me know in the comments!
So excited for my Oliver bundle! I work in a dog boarding facility and the stuffed Oliver is going in our lobby, all of my coworkers are so inspired by the lives you lead. Thank you Peter and Mary! 😄
Today was one an okay day I was feeling sick and fatigue all day. Then I saw your video and it lifted my spirits. So thank you!! God is working through you guys. I truly love watching your videos!
You can do it! I also stopped because I realized how blessed I am by having healthy lungs and how riddiculous it is to ruin them when others have to fight everday for their health. Every time you feel like smoking think of people with cf or other lung deseases. The second you do, you won't want to smoke anymore. Works 100%. I'm proof of it :)
Mary, Peter and Ollie I came across your vlog a complete of weeks ago and soon became hooked on your posts . I dont have CF but I deal with meds and quiet alot of patients that do , and im finding your posts so informative , its given me more of an understanding into CF then text books could ever do. Ive quickly become a huge fan of you guys. Best of luck in hospital next week Mary thinking of you here in Ireland .
I love MC-7!!! My mis-pronounced word is chiropractor... it comes out like choir-practor! Mary and Peter... you will be in my prayers as you head to the hospital. I'm asking God for wisdom, peace, perseverance and healing! I have loved watching your vlog for almost a year now... and often lift you up in my prayers. The past few months have given me a new appreciation for the challenges you face... and the grace with which you navigate them. Due to a misdiagnosis, I am currently dealing with a dual bacteria/fungal infection in my lungs. On the days when breathing is my super power, I use the challenges to remind me to pray for you both! Peter, on the Sundays that getting out for church just isn't a good choice, I go to my Peter Frey sermon playlist! I pray God's continued blessings and favor on your lives... Oh.. and give Ollie a scruff from me. He brings a smile to my face!
i'm so grateful seeing you guys work so hard to get the packages out in a timely way! i've preordered an ollie and i hope you two know that i wouldn't mind waiting an extra couple of weeks if it means you two are having a smoother time! i say penguin like pinguin and trouble like troble. and when i was a kid i said 'chimley' for 'chimney'! i'm australian and i think in our accent we do say almond like amen! ollie at the end of the video is just the cherry on top :D
I noticed Mary using sign language when talking about how she says chromosome. She signed the letter N then the letter M. So cute! Love from Florida, Andie 💜
Today, November 23rd I'm getting my first chance to watch your vlog... and am watching Chicago's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Your vlog made me think of all my Chicago Christmas memories of the Marshall Field's decorated window displays, the beautiful lights up & down State Street & Michigan Avenue. May you all be blessed on this very chilly (32° F) Thanksgiving Day.
I love how u guys talk about Chicago around Christmas... I’m not to far from downtown and my family goes ever yr. to see Macy’s windows/tree in the walnut room, go across the street to old navy, Down a few blocks to kriskringle market, and so much more. Thanks for al the videos
Love your sense of humour and wittiness. Your videos are the highlights of my evening. So thank you. I definitely feel like I've grown to love your wee family pretty quickly & fully. God bless.💋
I️ flipped out when y’all started singing “It’s almost Christmas” ! Jon and Val are from my church and we watched them preform it live a few years back! One of my favorites!!
In the Netherlands CF is commonly named "Tough Mucus Disease" (literally translated) ( Taai slijm ziekte in Dutch :) ) off course with the explanation that all the body's mucus is messed up, on just the mucus in the lungs.
someonedifferent198 the problem with that word for CF, is that CF effects more then just the lungs, unless CF also gives too much mucus on all parts of your body that has mucus like the lining of your stomach. Fun Fact: your mucus lining your stomach, protects the rest of your body from the stomach acid, due to high acidity.
I really hope this Christmas is better for you then last year and you can embrace the Christmas season! I've been watching for over a year now. Mary, I'm praying for you. Everyday. God's in control, keep strong girl.
I always say I'm onna instead of I'm gonna. I think it's a Midwestern thing. So many slangs in all parts of the country. I am so excited to get my Ollie package. Waiting for the mail man every day :-) So glad I ordered when you announced it. I got two since one is for me and then one for my sister's birthday. I didn't tell her about this since I wanted to totally surprise her. She found your blog before I did and one day I mentioned you guys and she said that she saw you before. I said why didn't you tell me about them?! I found you two years ago when I had my gall bladder surgery and you helped me during my recovery. Love you guys so much💖👾💃
Mary and Peter, I found Christmas leggings at Walmart last night for $3-6! I know how you feel about leggings and just wanted to make sure you knew so you could be ready for the Christmas season, even in the hospital!
We say cara-mel in the UK. I always find it a bit odd when I hear it pronounced carmal haha. I'm not usually a dog person but I'm in love with Ollie! There's something about him that gets me every time 😊🐕
Ahh I've been waiting for this😊 today is just a 'meh' kinda day for me. My headache was worse today than most days so I was mostly just in bed comfy. Now I just had a little speed walk for 30mins on the treadmill and I'm so wiped out. Just when I laid down your video came up and it just makes me happy :) I hope you all have a good day
I'm glad to see that you have a sweater on Ollie. My SD Diva has approx. 25 coats/sweaters and all my other dogs have at least 3 each.Give digestive enzymes to Ollie also as you are feeding kibble and dogs don't digest that very well.
Dairy can make mucus seem thicker, but there really isn't any scientific evidence that it makes you produce MORE or affect lung function. Thank goodness, right?!
Mary I think everyone who has watched this was laughing along with you. I couldn't stop and loved hearing and seeing the laughter. I say cromazon too. My my m says ancha v''s for anchovies.
Omg linoleum! It never ever comes out of my mouth the right way. Never has. Its so frustrating lol. Hope you make it home in time for Christmas Mary!!!
I`m not an english speaking person originally, so when started studiing the language at school, I used to say like kookoomber instead of cucumber) Also, about pronunciation: some time ago I found somewere in Web an article about meaningfull tatoos, and one girl, who also has CF, made a tattoo with 65 roses, cause she can not say the name of an ilness correctly, while being a kid. So sixty five roses sounds good for CF too)) PS I wish you to feel better tomorrow, Mary!
When you both were in the kitchen, and Mary began to sing, I thought she said :on chicken avenue", and I assumed you were making chicken for dinner and she was making a pun. Then it hit me it was "Michigan avenue". Love your vlogs!
Hi Mary and Peter! I wanted to reach out and ask for your prayers, I am in the process of trying to get a feeding tube placed. I have Cerebral Palsy along with lots of muscle spasms that burn a lot of calories and use a lot of energy and Since January my body hasn't absorbed much nutrients resulting in weight loss. My Baseline weight is 75lbs but is not steady right now. And I've never weighted over 90lbs in almost 23 years of life so I've always been small. But now I am kind of getting tired of force feeding(making myself eat) around the clock just so I can have the energy to do what I need to. It's hard. Doctors have told me that I don't need it because my chewing and swallowing reflexes are not impaired but if I don't eat around the clock I am very lethargic from low blood sugar-near fainting spells. The only reason I know that my body isn't absorbing is because I can eat a meal and within the hour be starving like I hadn't eaten. It's just very frustrating! So I hope that you guys will pray with me. Thanks! Jamaica (yes, that's my real name)
In Portuguese we say .... fibrose cistica , so I guess my vote would be CISTICA ( sticky lungs ) !! ☺️ My youngest daughter , who just turned 20 , to this day still says FREEGOT , for the word forget !! 😍I love it 😍 Prayers uplifted to our healing Creator , for you Mary , Peter , and Ollie boy in the upcoming week or so in the hospital !! 😘🙏😘
My dad and I couldn't get through a store once because I tried to say, "technologically," and I just couldn't get the word out. He tried to say it, and got stuck, too. We sat there, trying to say it, and laughing so hard we were crying. Neither of us had ever really had cause to say the word before then, so we hadn't realized both of us would have trouble saying the first "l" haha. On another note, I'm happy you have your fuel, and your fuel pump. With you heading into the hospital to do some CF battling, it's nice knowing that your body will be getting the energy it needs in a more efficient manner than you've had prior to getting the fuel pump. I've been struggling as we move towards the assistive devices portion of my illness and it's less common "side effects" as it were. People look at me different, and it makes me want to hide away. I'm slowly letting go of that, though, and you guys definitely have helped with that. Instead of being embarrassed or ashamed, I try and talk to people about why I have a walker, or why I have a dog with a special vest on. I still have days where I just can't go out, or I get emotional, but I remember that I'm here, and I'm fighting, and I have a chance to help educate others about what I'm going through. You guys really do help so many people.
So shocking to rewatch old videos and see the difference in Mary’s health from 2017 to 2021. The constant coughing and sickness vs all she’s been able to do now is crazy.
I've been saying for a couple of years...rename CF!! So many people don't know what it is and as you say, the name is in no way descriptive, memorable or helpful in increasing awareness. It would be the best promotional tool ever if the whole world, at once, relaunched CF under a brand new name. Imagine every news outlet talking about the disease at once and what that would do to aid in people's understanding of the disease and hopefully increase the chances of finding a cure or at least more improvements in treatment. 👍😊
I am a french speaker but i could translate by saying i say debilatiting instead of debilitating. In English i stumble on the Word "daughter" a lot, and i also dont like To pronounce "tired": is that tiread or tir-d? Mary in french cystic fibrosis is commonly called mucoviscidosis. Muco for mucous, Visci for viscous i guess. But i prefer the 65 roses version the best ❤👌
Having been born and raised in Ohio and now living in South Carolina, I have learned that the pronunciation and meaning of words is dependant on the area of the country where you are!
I'm not sure which words I say differently, because it's become sort of this OCD thing with me, and I'm always over-analyzing the way words are spelled vs. the way they're pronounced; but the ones other people say that jump to my mind instantly are "Sarah-cuse" for Syracuse, and when people pronounce the "eel" sound as "ill", such as deal = dill, feel = fill, etc. :)
I used to say "acrosst". My dad says it the same way. I never even realized I did it until my hubby pointed it out one day when we were discussing regional accents.
I’m in a voice and diction class at college right now and we talk about words all the time that we are saying wrong! It’s pretty mind blowing. And according to my professor, caramel is pronounced like car-mule :)
I say specific wrong all the time since I grew up having a lisp. It's funny saying it really fast though. Love you guys so much ♥️ keep up the great videos!
Until I saw it spelled out I said "for all intensive purposes" instead of "for all intents and purposes". I love love love Ollie's sweater!!!! Oh the cuteness. It's just so much cuteness!!
I don't know of any particular word I mispronounce. I used to teach, so I got very used to practicing my diction when I spoke to others. I have a friend who CAN'T say elephant, though. She tries, but it always comes out effelump. Funny how our minds can do funny things. I have fallen completely in love with Ollie. I'm not a real dog person, but your precious boy has stolen my heart.
I say breftast instead of breakfast, it's just a habit from youth but my husband really cracks me up. He says rallish instead of relish and he always says ever who instead of who ever. The kids have always had so much fun laughing at his words. He also says Whiz Cheese instead of Cheese Whiz. He doesn't purposely say things wrong but he just does and it's a constant source of enjoyment for me and anyone who hears him, all in good humor though. One day he asked me, What is we ship ups? It was, We ship UPS. I could go on forever, but you get the idea.
Cystic- a thin-walled, hollow organ or cavity containing a liquid secretion; a sac, vesicle, or bladder. Fibrosis- excessive growth of fibrous connective tissue in an organ, part, or tissue, esp. in response to an injury
MC-7 is my vote! Haha! Ok, but for reals- what word do you say differently than it’s spelled? Peter and I talk about the words we say funny in today’s video :) let me know in the comments!
The Frey Life I say hoisin wrong
The Frey Life something to do with candy floss?? 😁
I hope everything goes well with your hospital stay x
Caramel is one for me. I say CAR-A-MEL. I also tend to do salmon. Most people I've heard say SAM-AN I say SAL-MAN
wolfsrule100 I say ca-ra-mel
The Frey Life ketchup. I pronounce it “catch-up”.
I think you should rename your condition something like George! "Oh my cough? That's just George, he lives in my lungs!"
So excited for my Oliver bundle! I work in a dog boarding facility and the stuffed Oliver is going in our lobby, all of my coworkers are so inspired by the lives you lead. Thank you Peter and Mary! 😄
Mary laughing about fish sticks fiber optics is the funniest thing I’ve ever seen! I was laughing so hard! It made my day! Love you guys!
Rachel Reddick right!! I love their outlook on the chronic life
Oh my gosh me too!! She made me BUST up with tears! Classic 👏
Naming it something like "jelly lungs" would be cute! 😂😂
In German CF is "Mukoviszidose," which is 'mucus' plus the Latin word for 'sticky'...so 'sticky mucus' :).
Sticky mucus seems like such a perfect description!
Yes, Mukoviszidose makes a lot more sense!
I like that much better! I can't pronounce it, but I'm sure I could learn lol!
Today was one an okay day I was feeling sick and fatigue all day. Then I saw your video and it lifted my spirits. So thank you!! God is working through you guys. I truly love watching your videos!
Ashley Hibbard I hope you'll feel better soon! Have an amazing day❤️
Ashley Hibbard omg me too! I felt sick and off all day with ibs. Now watching Frey Life makes me happy
Hello Friend! Hope today you are finding some joy!! Xoxo
I watch every second to because of Ollie! 😃 I still think a book about Ollie would be so wonderful.
that would be so cool!
rae1957tn That would make an adorable children’s book!
I’m quitting smoking starting today for the Frey life ....prayers needed
You can do it! I also stopped because I realized how blessed I am by having healthy lungs and how riddiculous it is to ruin them when others have to fight everday for their health. Every time you feel like smoking think of people with cf or other lung deseases. The second you do, you won't want to smoke anymore. Works 100%. I'm proof of it :)
Bless you!!!! You can do it! My son has chronic lung disease and we have family who won't even stop smoking for a day to come see him. :(
I quit smoking when my father passed from lung cancer. I was two packs a day and quit cold turkey. I am glad every day I gave it up.
Hey! Mary should do some Christmas paintings in the hospital to pass time. I’d love to see some more of her art ❤️😇
“I hope you’re getting through whatever you’re getting through” words I needed to hear just now 🖤
Mary, Peter and Ollie I came across your vlog a complete of weeks ago and soon became hooked on your posts . Fav UA-camr by far❤️🙏🏽

How about cell fluster (confused cells) ?
Love your sense of humour and wittiness. Your videos are the highlights of my evening. So thank you. I definitely feel like I've grown to love your wee family pretty quickly & fully. God bless.💋

Praying for You Mary as You go into the hospital praying for You too Peter Ollie looks so cute in his sweater
Mary is the most blessed woman on the planet with this man, Peter.
In the Netherlands CF is commonly named "Tough Mucus Disease" (literally translated) ( Taai slijm ziekte in Dutch :) ) off course with the explanation that all the body's mucus is messed up, on just the mucus in the lungs.
I was actually thinking about what it's called in Dutch! Didn't know CF and Taai Slijm Ziekte where the same!
someonedifferent198 the problem with that word for CF, is that CF effects more then just the lungs, unless CF also gives too much mucus on all parts of your body that has mucus like the lining of your stomach. I was about to comment this as well! Haha
I really hope this Christmas is better for you then last year and you can embrace the Christmas season! I've been watching for over a year now. Mary, I'm praying for you. Everyday. God's in control, keep strong girl.

Mary and Peter, I found Christmas leggings at Walmart last night for $3-6! I know how you feel about leggings and just wanted to make sure you knew so you could be ready for the Christmas season, even in the hospital!
Heather Stiles She just got some from Wal-Mart a day or two ago in a previous vlog :)
Hannah Renee oh, I’m so glad they saw them! I must have missed that
We say cara-mel in the UK. I always find it a bit odd when I hear it pronounced carmal haha. I'm not usually a dog person but I'm in love with Ollie! There's something about him that gets me every time 😊🐕
Thanks for the laughs about Fish Sticks Fiber Optics - you continue to inspire me with the joy in the face of not feeling so hot. MC-7 it is!!
Ollie's sweater gives me all the feels!!!! 😊😊😊
I’m in the hospital right now. Was meant to. Be here for five days but that was 25th of October. Ty Mary for being my positive inspiration xx 😘
My friend Tom says that he has heard cystic fibrosis named "65 roses" !!!
I have heard something like that as well..I have heard "65 red roses"..
Okay, the word column, like on a stately manor; my hubby calls it col-yum. Lol. It cracks me up because literally no one else I know calls it that.
I miss when you guys did grocery hauls and showed you guys cooking!!! Also I can not wait to get my Ollie boy! Love you guys!!!
I always watch til the very last second to see Ollie too, and I love to sing along to the music!
Love Ollie's bone jacket- very groovy! Good luck to you all for your hospital stay - gurgley tummy & all! Love from AustraliaXXX
Also Mary, can your body tolerate dairy because I know that dairy products makes the body produce more mucus for some?
Dairy can make mucus seem thicker, but there really isn't any scientific evidence that it makes you produce MORE or affect lung function. Thank goodness, right?!
My husband says "flustrated" instead of frustrated...and it frustrates me. 😂
Sarah Blanford Hey, I like that one!
He’s a mixture of flustered and frustrated!
You two are the best.
And Ollie, he's pretty fantastic! ❤
Mary I think everyone who has watched this was laughing along with you. I couldn't stop and loved hearing and seeing the laughter. I say cromazon too. My my m says ancha v''s for anchovies.
Y’all are an adorable couple!!
Ily guys so much
Yes Mary the Christmas El train in Chicago is a real thing!!! I have good memories of that from when Iived there! 💜💜💜
I had no idea that I pronounced onion like ong-ion. As a kid, I said sheep metal instead of sheet metal, walking wardrobe instead of walk in wardrobe!
My female Ollie (cream standard poodle) is looking forward to getting her Ollie here in here in New Zealand. All the best for hospital Mary.
You had the caramel discussion when Mary was in the hospital tis time last year!! I remember that conversation!! LOL
It's so funny you smelled your tea bag after you opened it. I was wondering if you would or is that something I only do. LoL
Omg linoleum! It never ever comes out of my mouth the right way. Never has. Its so frustrating lol. Hope you make it home in time for Christmas Mary!!!
Youve got this guys!!!
I cant wait to order the Ollie bundle . My dog has the same sweater as Ollie with the bones but he is a yorkie so its smaller.
I`m not an english speaking person originally, so when started studiing the language at school, I used to say like kookoomber instead of cucumber)
Also, about pronunciation: some time ago I found somewere in Web an article about meaningfull tatoos, and one girl, who also has CF, made a tattoo with 65 roses, cause she can not say the name of an ilness correctly, while being a kid. So sixty five roses sounds good for CF too))
PS I wish you to feel better tomorrow, Mary!
I use cara-mel for those solid chews and Carmel for the syrup.
When you both were in the kitchen, and Mary began to sing, I thought she said :on chicken avenue", and I assumed you were making chicken for dinner and she was making a pun. Then it hit me it was "Michigan avenue". Love your vlogs!
Sorry not been watching, we were remodeling a new house we bought, and have been so tired. We r done and moved in. Misssed you all..
From Louisiana
I hope you can make it home in time for Christmas this hospital visit ❤️
I think of it as a respiratory and digestive system disorder if you had to break it down to its most affected system
Ollie in that sweater❤️! I say mulsh for mulch. Don’t know why🤦♀️
Hi Mary and Peter! I wanted to reach out and ask for your prayers, I am in the process of trying to get a feeding tube placed. fibrose cistica , so I guess my vote would be CISTICA ( sticky lungs ) !! ☺️
My youngest daughter , who just turned 20 , to this day still says FREEGOT , for the word forget !! 😍I love it 😍
Prayers uplifted to our healing Creator , for you Mary , Peter , and Ollie boy in the upcoming week or so in the hospital !!
😘🙏😘
Ollie is so cute in his sweaters. Your in my prayers mary.
Mary. What kind of tea were you making in the vlog today?
I have trouble with Musk Oxen. When I was growing up, I was convinced it was orDAment instead of ornament.
I love Ollie's bone sweater.
My dad and I couldn't get through a store once because I tried to say, "technologically," and I just couldn't get the word out. He tried to say it, and got stuck, too. My hubby JT, says comfortable like “comterbull. Love MC7! I of course speak English so eloquently that all words are pronounced as they should be. 😜
What is the difference between Carmel and caramel??
I am a french speaker but i could translate by saying i say debilatiting instead of debilitating.
In English i stumble on the Word "daughter" a lot, and i also dont like To pronounce "tired": is that tiread or tir-d?
Mary in french cystic fibrosis is commonly called mucoviscidosis.
Muco for mucous, Visci for viscous i guess.
But i prefer the 65 roses version the best ❤👌
Valérie Van Mol Look up “How to pronounce tired” on UA-cam lol
I say something like tie-erd
I say tie-erd... I hope I wrote the pronunciation right😂
This might be a silly question. Does ollie stay in hospital with mary. I am sending tons of prayers your way.
Forgot to say, thank you to all our service members! They make sacrifices I couldn't imagine making.
Having been born and raised in Ohio and now living in South Carolina, I have learned that the pronunciation and meaning of words is dependant on the area of the country where you are!
I watched Wicked on Broadway in NYC! It was amazing!
What is the white thing strapped to Mary's chest at 4:28?
You guys are just amazing! Great personality’s
ol yea you are right names of things dont seem to have anything to do with anything
The word I have to think about is open. Growing up my brother would tease me because I put an ‘m’ in it. I say ohmpen. 😂
Ollie's coat is a delight!
In colorado we don't say the "t" in mountains but no one here notices it because that is just how we say it
How many days are you going to be in the hospital mary frey
Confused Innards?
I’m in a voice and diction class at college right now and we talk about words all the time that we are saying wrong! It’s pretty mind blowing. And according to my professor, caramel is pronounced like car-mule :)
you went to go see Wicked! what was your favorite part of the musical?
