- The Braun family (Black Jeep Wrangler from other videos during out trip to Colorado) and us took our chances against the famous Imogene Pass trail in Colorado. I was told several times by different people not to take my renegade up there since it was going to cause all kinds of issues and inconveniences. I was told I was going to die and other sorts of negative comments. I had posted photos in the San Juan's FB page and I caused a lot of noise, but mostly positive.
I had previously talked to another renegade buddy @dc_advntr5525 who had done this trail on his renegade and he was encouraging me to do it. He did not have any issues when he did this trail.
Robert and I ran into a single Jeep Wrangler enthusiast at the very beginning of the trail who joined our caravan. Brian was driving the blue Wrangler and he was alone in Colorado. We chatted for a little bit before continuing our trail.
On our way up, we were greeted by fellow off-roaders who wanted to say hi to the "infamous" renegade. They were kind and very happy to see Nazgul. I was complemented a lot, I felt that my renegade was the current celebrity of the week. I was lucky to have more supporters than haters.
We took our time to climb and stopped a few times to look at the views Imogene Pass has to offer. It is a beautiful trail, the scenic drive up the mountain deserves to take it in one step at the time. We had to let my transmission cool off a couple times to prevent damages but other than that, no issues were met.
The trail started with a sunny day which gradually turned into a chilly/rainy day. We reached the top of Imogene Pass while it was raining. Once we got there, the clouds started coming down on us and we eventually were surrounded by them. Our visibility decreased in a matter of minutes and we could not see past several feet.
Our descent started clearing out of the clouds but it kept raining. We kept a steady drive and slowly made it back to town. The trail took most of the day and was ended just in time to get some Mexican food at the local restaurant.
We enjoyed our time in Colorado, we experienced new adventures and met new friends. Life is good.
Thank you for watching, I hope you enjoy the video.

Thank you! It was a great trip for us.
I have a Cherokee trailhawk and got absolutely hated on while on trails in Colorado last year.the trail guide for us even ended up leaving me on a trail because he got mad I made it up the trail he kept saying I wouldn’t.keep doing you and let the people hate.it’s just sad people being sad they spent thousands on mods that we didn’t need to.
@@midnitesilverrun8631 I understand! I was told I was going to die and my Renegade was not going to make it at all. Well, surprise.
Keep up the great videos. I have a 21 Renegade Trailhawk, and they are very capable little vehicles.
Thank you! I will keep posting as long as I have this little Jeep! They are very capable.
I had one of the first Renegades around, and I loved it. A 2014 I think. It's a great little underrated and underestimated SUV.
They are underrated for sure.
Great video, looked fun. It's a shame when negative trolls try to project their sadness on the people trying to get out and explore.
agreed. Either way I had fun myself and I ignored them to avoid getting upset lol
Назгул 👍
Que lindo trajeto! Eu também tenho um Renegade. O meu é versão Moab e é muito valente! Sucesso aos amigos!
Easy peasy, im doing it.on my stock renegade👍
I do have my stock too, but what size your tires?
The only thing that would stop a Renegade, Subaru, etc., other than a breakdown, from doing this trail would be an overheating transmission.
Cool spare tire carrier.
I love This pass
👌👍Very nice trial, love to one day..My 2004 TJ 33 still stock go go this trial?🚙🚙
파란색 하늘 너무 아름답습니다.
아름다운 영상 감사합니다.
Thank you. I’m glad you liked it.
✌️💪
How were you able to put a wheel in the back like that I want to do it to my jeep renegade as well
Yes, the Renegade can do a lot, my 2015 Trailhawk has gotten me out of a few issues, it has also gotten me into a few issues. I just wish it was a TRUE 4x4 system instead of more like an AWD system. Did you do a lift kit before tackling this trail?
I have done every mod to be done for the Renegade lol
geeat thank
Went through on a dirt bike waa awesome
it is an awesome trail.
Hi Nazgul, it's always amazing see your videos! I'm writing from Italy and I have a Renegade too. I'm interested on your wheels, which ones are they? What about snorkel, yours it's an Avid but they don't have a website anymore, can you confirm that? 'Cause they don't replay at my emails. Thanks for help!
Hi Giacomo! Thank you for watching. Yes, the snorkel is AVID. They seem to be out of business now. The wheels are method race, there are several models you may like for yours. The wheels have some sort of inner bead lock system allowing you to lower the pressure without the need of a bead lock around the tire.
That's legit!
Could a Ram Rebel fit on that pass?
Nevermind, I see the big ass 2500 towards the end. Unless there is another route up there.
Did you have the Mishimoto trans cooler + e-fan installed on this trip, or was this the deciding factor on installing it? 😂
I had a fan already installed but it wasn't in the best location and it is also smaller. I upgraded after my trip.
