Have you ever fished for pike with dead bait ? Don’t forget to turn on the subtitles for explanations in French, English, and Russian ! See you soon in the Underwater World !
Superb footage - and some very cautious behaviour (as well as some 'standard' takes). Many years ago, I read that pike have little sensors on their noses (a bit like the ampullae of Lorenzini on sharks) that help them to detect movement and electrical signals. I think that's why the pike sometimes appear mesmerised by the camera - they sense it but it makes no sense to them. Thanks for sharing - there's always more to learn. Great content 👊🎣
That's true, we have also heard about that, regarding the small holes they have under their jaw. Here, they really seem to hunt by sight because the water is very clear all year round. Thanks again 🙏 !
Dead bait fishing is an art in itself. The presentation needs to be just off the bottom, nose angled down. Like a dead fish. A suspended dead bait, might catch something? What are your thoughts?

that pike around the 2 minute mark doesn’t look like its had a good meal in a while
Indeed, we told the story of this pike in last Sunday’s video !
Superbe!!
