Very nice and mature conversation, Ravi and Dheeraj! It was such a pleasure to host you at Sakra, Ravi!
This is an interview all UK aspirants should see.. having lived and worked in both systems, I completely agree with almost everything Ravi says here.. but we need to remember like for like comparison of NHS is not a corporate hospital in a metropolis like Bangalore- but a typical Govt run hospital in India.. and there is simply no comparison when it comes to quality, governance, processes and outcomes..
In india, as a doctor, we either have time or money but seldom both!
Another concept people need to understand is purchasing power parity between systems- we can do an interview on that if you want, Dheeraj!

Good to hear first hand. As a nurse I have heard my friends say the same after living abroad for 15 or more years. But new nurses are paid in peanuts here in pvt.hospitals. Students rethink their preferences.

Not only new nurses but even the new doctors will get paid peanuts, but in long term people who did hard work will succeed in india. Patience is required I feel.

Keep aside the financial aspects, should we go to UK for training and learning purpose?
Or can we learn the same level here in India also??

We can learn the same level in central institutions but still I feel the training in uk is better

Pension NHS and Stateare still very good. Excellent education for kids. Easy life 200% compared to India.
    Very good work life balance.
    No corporate pressure in NHS.
    Miss in India: 300%

Hi sir, Myself Dr Abhas. I have done MBBS, DNB anaesthesia, DrNB cardiac anaesthesia and after that working as associate consultant in cardiac anaesthesia in delhi ncr for last 2 yr after DrNB. I am 34y old, married and have a 4yr daughter. Now I want to go out of india for a better standard of living, further enhance my skills and knowledge. Another reason for this is I feel there is no major growth in india as a cardiac anaesthesiologist. Major hurdles for me is having a family with a 4yr kid (don’t want to compromise on her education) and having already spent so many years in india with Superspeciality degree. What would you suggest me at this stage of my life? Is there any scope abroad as a cardiac anaesthesiologist, some fellowship in UK for cardiac anaesthesiologist apart from EDIAC and FRCA. Please share your opinion. Thanks

Will you stay in India if I tell you a plan to make 5 lakhs per month in India as cardiac anesthesiology head or you still want to go abroad

@@DheerajMasapu well sir money matters in the end and I would love to join somewhere with 5L per month provided the team is good (getting a good CTVS team as well as a good package seems difficult). Additionally I want to add some western degree (if possible in cardiac anaesthesia) in my CV. I personally feel that will refine my skills and knowledge and will be useful in long run in case I am going middle east or some other country for short term period in future or even practice in india in corporate hospitals. Please guide
