Thank you for all your videos. They are really helpful. What would it take for a Ugandan physician to work in the UK as a specialist? Does one have to do MRCP even when they have a master's degree?
the steps are explained in this video ua-cam.com/video/08nEiA5tCyk/v-deo.html if by masters you mean like an MMed then most likely yes they would need to do MRCP exams
I’m a Ugandan in internship planning to begin my PLAB journey this year but looking at the recent concern and discussions regarding MAPs is getting me worried. Will the increase in physician associates etc and lack of training opportunities make it impossible to get jobs at FY2 level? Is it still worth it pursuing the UK pathway in light of the recent developments regarding MAPs?
no one knows the future.. its up to you to decide if that potential situation is better or worse than staying where you are.. personally if it was me i would still give it a go.. but again me i really wanted to work abroad so didnt have confusion about that
haha yes i think its because most people gave house helps.. idont see how i could do frsh from scratch for every single meal, every day.. life is so busy
Thanks for this, am thinking of moving to the UK too after Medical school and internship.
good luck in your journey

4:38 spot on! That is the harsh reality here in Uganda
It makes me so sad.. health is treated like a commodity to be bought and sold yet it shouldnt be
How long can it take to relocate as a ugandan doctor who has just finished internship
it depends on when one is able to do all the exams and then get a job.. no one size fits all
I am not in the UK but I know batch cooking isn't a thing here. They believe in making freshly prepared meals all the time 😅

Even paternity leave and shared parental leave
Oh yes.. whats the paternity leave in Uganda? is it even there?
So true, NO ONE CARES AT ALL
So many problems in the uk to care about others😂😂😂
Haha.. in fact we wish they could care a bit more.. bakisusa 🤣
