Armor all has been around for a very long time! It's not bad stuff! I've used it for over 30 years and never had a problem!

Scott. Saw this vid and much appreciated. I bought 2 cans of this stuff today and I cannot wait to use it as an engine bay cleaner on my vehicle. I will also hit my door panels and door jams for good measure. I am a born-again Meguiars fan and usually use quick detailer on the door panels and jams but the armor all product got my interest as it looks practical all the way around. But I am mostly interested in my engine bay for tomorrow's goal of the day. Thanks again on all of your ideas!

Scott, i am addicted to the videos now. The other night i was bored and thought "Hey i'll just go to Walmart and see if they have Super Clean and the Armor All Glass Cleaner" because i just want to try some different products. Well i ended up purchasing both of them and they work great i also purchased the Invisible Glass reach tool and man does it help for the inside of the windshield.
Now you have me wanting to go look for this lol

thank you for the kind words..i get bored sometimes and walk the lanes of walmart-autozone-napa auto parts just to try new products...some i end up giving away and sometimes i find a winner!..im glad your enjoying super clean and armor all auto glass cleaner...they are working well for me...its so silly to some but this spray wash by armor all is a winner in my world..i get it for 5.50 a can at walmart, its so cheap and i think its worth trying for you but please give me your feedback:)...much love my brother

Very nice. Funny thing about Armor All, I recently bought the old school original protectant they sell to put on my 1981 Kawasaki seat. The seat was very dull and faded and I have tried many different products to try and bring it back to no avail. The Armor All really did the trick. I know the old stuff tends to be greasy but the shine and depth I have on that seat now is amazing. My point is never completely count something out, I haven't used this protectant in at least 20 years but you inspired me to take a 2nd look and so glad I did. Thanks!.

its a great point...with so many pro products being water based and rightfully so, but sometimes a product like armor all can be really effective on something tired and really faded

They (other companies like what was mentioned) don't make products like it because it would cut into their spray detailer product lines - that's just my opinion and from time to time a larger company (like Armor All) does come up with something fairly innovative - they also can take some risks beyond what the higher end product manufacturers can because Doug don't really care _that much_ about the finish of his 8 year old Durango vs. Vinny's virtually virgin week old 'Vette. People get way hung up on the products vs. how they are being used or it's intended application - great to see a PRO that isn't in the pocket of "big car care" ;-)

I liked what this video demonstrated. I've avoided Armor All since way back when it was still relatively new on the market. I had an old car whose dash was just starting to crack, so I went out and bought my first spray on "protectant".
Not knowing any better, even when I could see that it only got worse (and promptly) thought it was from waiting too long to use the "protectant" so I applied some more.
When that portion of the dash promptly split like a banana, seemingly right before my eyes, I knew it was Armor All that hastened the degeneration of my dash in real time. Later I found out what that shiny can of degeneration really does and I was pissed! They were selling a degenerative material as a "protectant".
Then I knew who it was made for, too: 1) the uninformed 2) used car salesmen or those who just want the car to look good for the moment, and a new appreciation for the power of marketing and slick advertisements, which is where (not coincidentally) where corporate governments learned to use propaganda to sway the masses like Lemmings.
I think they should have been sued for such deception, but they probably know that they can make that claim based on a technicality or another. But here I find that they produce something with some apparent value instead of diminishing it.

In other words, you don't show what it takes to get down and below all the plastic covers and the sides of the engine and trans., the fender well covers and the firewall, etc. Do you have any video offerings that cover this aspect of engine detailing?

S FERG honestly. Gunk citrus degreaser. Remove wheels and wheel liners. Apply at engine bay / wheel wells / undercarriage. Use at least two bottles, gently scrub with scotch green pad. Allow to sit 10 minutes. Hose down with chemical guys all purpose cleaner followed by just water. Blow with compressed air and start engine. Let heat remove any remaining water. Towel dry and follow up with any tire shine. Done. Enjoy

As he said in the beginning, he’s already done a bunch of engine cleaning videos. Dirty engines: he’s been there, done that. At 0:37 and 5:34 he clearly says what the point here is. Some people actually keep their engines pretty clean and just need a good maintenance solution. You should look into these things they call “attention spans.” They make life go much smoother.
