Do you steam your face? And if so, why do you like it?😁 #dermatologist #facialsteamer #skincarehabits #skinglow #circulation
Steaming actually helped with my acne
I would think it would help the pores 'breath' but it might inflame some acne - I also wonder if the steam could 'carry' helpful theraputics
@@TotalFreedomTTT-pk9st possibly but it actually made my inflamed acne feel better
@@sevenblessed2543 I steam every day for some weeks - yeah- it's a process that each person has to be careful with - I breath the steam for my lungs but that can 'burn' the lungs (I think I did a bit) so I'll be more careful - but my skin feels more rejuvenated and it makes sense since you are vasodilating the blood vessels - that has to be good for nutrient transport and waste removal - and acne ? yeah upside is sebum flow goes up - but some people may pat or touch the skin as it is heated and I could see that squishing something - I've also gotten some acne after I used lotion to hold in the moisture - I would like a mist of pro active oil to spray right after while the pores are open - same with acne - you'd think there would be a spray mist to apply after steaming - best of luck with that by the way
@@TotalFreedomTTT-pk9st right, a mist would be great especially since skin feels a little dry afterwards but do you follow up with cold water or ice water after you steam?
@@sevenblessed2543I kinda ice my face first and then steam-
My grandmas 70 and she looks 50. She told me it’s because she was a dishwasher at a restaurant her entire life, and every time she opens up the dishwater, the steam hits her face. She said the steam is what made her look so young and still have smooth skin. I got reminded of what my grandma said when i saw a video of NLE Choppa recommending to people that you should steam your face and he said pretty much what my grandma said. I’m finna start doing this. I’m trynna look like my granny when I’m 70 😂.
I agree with you. I work at a hospital and I found on patients every day. I saw this African American patient who was 70 or so but looked 50. I was confused and after I complimented her on her skin, she told me she steamed her face every day for the last 40 years of her life.
Could be the moisture from it
True,
When I steam my face, it looks 100 times smoother and poreless
How your grandma hands
Bc of being dishwasher
She could be right because it's shown that you can reverse a great portion of aging just by making sure you and your skin are well hydrated and avoiding sun exposure a lot on your face and your body.
I get so much compliments when I steam my face with Castor oil
I love castor oil. Do you actually steam with it on? What steps to you take before and after? Thank you
Steaming just feels good. Even if it does nothing for my skin
Thanks. I do like a good steam . You feel so relaxed and younger lol
I think some dermatologists are dishonest for personal reasons
Because they want our money and no one likes when others fine a better way to cut cost. I was waiting for one of them to start hating and here it is but these are the same ppl that prescribe us harsh chemicals for our face that really don’t work. Speaking from experience with my daughter it was a waste of time what was prescribed so I had to research a better way to get rid of her acne and I did.
@@Lady_K2how djd u get rid of it?
If you have melasma, really don't do this. She gave nuanced reasons of why and who would benefit from it. She's not advertising any specific service or product. A dermatologist is a doctor. I understand that people may have medical trauma and distrust, but further personal research will show you the same answers she gave. You can also cross reference between other board certified dermatologist opinions. Dr.Dray and Dr.Alexis Stephens are 2 other derms who have made separate long form videos on this topic. Don't be anti-science, be more inquisitive
@@sumlem not anti science and being inquisitive is why I don’t just fall for anything most importantly watching and listening helps also
This 'doctor' seems to be dishonest
It’s funny that she’s still got eyeshadow and lipgloss on before steaming. That will defo absorb into the skin!
Haven't you all went to the steam room at the gym and came out glowing?????
boosts the circulation in the face says it all - it seems this would actually be more than cosmetic - if no steam blood flow 'per month' is 1000 units you would think pro steam blood flow would be more - like 1400 units and wouldn't that better ? more blood = more nutrients more healing etc - just be careful
When do you do it? Before or after cleansing and moisturizer?
Since it makes the products penetrate deeper, it makes sense to steam first and then cleanse. Personally I steam, then cleanse with something hydrating, and go with my retinol and moisturizer (I have dry skin type)
@@axelgr8884do you steam everyday
Yeah - and I think the moisturizer is really trying to keep the moisture in just make sure the moisturizer is healthy and newish since the pours are now very open and vulnerable to plugging
I usually close the door when I’m showering and once I get out the shower I wash my face and notice a big difference in my face my acne has decreased. So I think steaming good for acne prone skin.
Thank u dr.mamina for the information ❤ and u got so beautiful face really 😮😮😮
I get my skin very dry, itchy and redness like alergic reaction but when I go to sauna everything disapear
Should i do steaming in my acne prone skin?
I would go easy at first - don't try to much since your skin might react or over react - also don't rub tissue hard onto the skin - I've gotten little acne form the open pours - I'm a guy and live amongst junk and tools but good luck - just gentle patting on the skin - don't rupture any acne blemishes - that is where steaming could be bad and if your face looks inflamed you might freak and pick at things more - it would be interesting to study steam environments with acne aged people and see if they have lower acne - like dish washers or cloths steaming or ??? sorry for the long reply
Totally informative & Great information! 😊❤✨️ ...Also, Where you paused it, the steam kinda looks like a ghost face. 👻
So steaming does not help with clearing up acne?
Broo to be honest steaming is very good for acne prone skin I had a lot of acne bcoz of puberty and using various products but after steaming my acne got reduced
@@INSAAN-ir1qycan you share your routine?
Is it okay to exfoliate after steaming?
Who's the person in the video?
Michael Ascott @michaelascott20
My sisters friend was using a face steamer at my house yesterday and got first degree burns because the water spilled on her face. She is 11
For dry skin?
That’s what I’m wondering as well.
What’s the estheticians @?
I can’t do anything for anti-aging and skin health :(
Rosacea and dry skin suck
No retinols or this…
its bad for acne?
I had acne and I noticed that steaming opened up my pores and the cleaner and moisturizer I had worked better since the product could actually get into my skin.
@@thatoneperson6594 ive been doing that cuz of the same logic but dont know if its working, p sure i got acne from pubert
Idk when i steam my pimple kund of comes out a bit more to the surface so that its easy to remove
It’s good for acne. She’s definitely wrong
Lol so you just listed every reason why people SHOULD buy one then at the end said but if it doesn’t benefit you. WELL OBVIOUSLY. Dumb video thank you for wasting my time
Incredibly useless short.
