  • If you're looking for a true legend in the world of bull riding, look no further than Jim Sharp. Born in Texas in 1966, Sharp grew up with a passion for rodeo and began bull riding at a young age. He quickly developed a reputation as one of the most talented riders in the sport, and went on to become one of the most successful bull riders of all time.
    Sharp made his professional debut in 1984, and quickly began to make a name for himself in the rodeo circuit. He won his first Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) event in 1986, and went on to win the PRCA World Championship in 1988, 1989, and 1991. In addition to his world titles, Sharp also won the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) average four times, and set a new record for the highest score in NFR history with a 96-point ride in 1991.
    Despite his incredible success, Sharp remained humble and grounded throughout his career. He was known for his quiet confidence and unwavering focus, and always treated his fellow riders and fans with respect and kindness. He was also a fierce competitor who never backed down from a challenge, and was always willing to take risks in order to achieve his goals.
    Sharp retired from bull riding in 1998, but his legacy in the sport continues to this day. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest bull riders of all time, and his influence can be seen in the many riders who have followed in his footsteps. Whether you're a fan of bull riding or simply appreciate the spirit of competition and perseverance, Jim Sharp is a true inspiration and a living legend.

    I agree with you B. I’ve known Jim along time since we were kids and he has always dominated. I watched a podcast with Dale Brigsby and he told JB that Jim said he would beat him and JB said he would he would beat Jim easy(I’m sure Dale was just trying to get JB wired up) and JB responded by saying he would beat Jim easy. I’ve never met JB personally but the man can ride bulls. The funny thing is Jim would never say something like that, so I think Dale was picking at JB. No disrespect towards JB but I would pick Jim in his prime against anybody past or present. You can’t forget about Donnie Gay though, everybody had a chance to win 8 titles like Donnie did and only 1 has come close. That’s a feat in itself. You know some of the guys that have paid the price were very capable of challenging the record. That’s for sure
