When i uploaded this yesterday, UA-cam automatically put an ad every 3 minutes. I have chaged that to zero. I apologize! I'm sure that was annoying to the first 10k viewers
sit down dude thats rude walking behind tuff like that........and lane frost was the best bull rider ever i still cry when i watch 8seconds the next greatest bull rider is tuff.roll tide roll alabama no 1....GOD BLESS YOU ALL...
I was 10 years old and went to a bull ride in Texas. I was very lucky and honored to meet Lane and I still remember it to this day. He also signed my cowboy hat and I still have that in a glass case that I will have until I’m dead
I remember back in 88 or early 89 I used to go with a friend of mine so he could practice his bull riding. Some place in Flower Mound or Corinth, Tx. Been so long I don't remember, but we would go out there usually at night with bad lighting and there would be Tuff giving the hands pointers in the middle of the night when any sane person would be asleep, but there he would be when he was in town sharing his knowledge, experiences and even his tools of the trade. I know the boys all thought it was the greatest thing to have someone like Tuff out there in the dirt and cold or heat depending. I was and have always been impressed with this, even 30 plus years later I still talk about it.
I was lucky to have met Tuff in 1998 in cheyenne frontier days. Have always looked up to him through out his career. 98' was my second year in the prca and first time in cheyenne. Tuff pulled my rope for me and I made the buzzer in round 2 . I think I scored a 77. But the one thing I remember most from that day was Tuff telling me to always try hard and great things will happen. I'll remember that for the rest of my life.
Tuff Hedeman and Lane Frost is the only reason I love watching Bull Riding that are to of the Greatest Bull Rides ever I also love the movie 8 seconds I can watch that movie over and over agian
Don't forget that their group consisted of Cody Lambert, Lane Frost, Jim Sharpe & Ty Murray. *Clint Branger was very much apart of that mix as well. (Cody Lambert & Tuff Hedeman went to college together on bull riding scholarships.) Lane hit the professional circuit straight out of high school. *Watch on 'You Tube' a 4x part series on Tuff Hedeman to fully understand just how bad_ss Tuff was, shear determination & just how far he came from pure rawness to World Champion! Incredible story...)
DALE YEAH .. I HAVE A BUNCH OF MEMORIES WITH TUFF. My father inlaw is old buddies with him. We ate dinner together and spent the evening with Tuff. Amazing man.
WOW. The MAN the MYTH the FREAKIN LEGEND TUFF HEDEMAN. Loved watching you ride back in those days TUFF. You were the epitome GREATNESS & CLASS. Besides TY MURRAY you were my favorite. Great interview Ole Son. Just wish I could've heard you better on your questions
Keep up the old schoolers interviews please. I vote Terry Don West for the next one. I'd like to hear his take on why he got "black listed" from the PBR or if thats even true. Supposidly the BRO never paid him his winnings either.
Couple observations...One, he is humble and laid back today, but during his Career........2, Team Roping started a Stand -Alone Arena Sport, quite while earlier than Bull Riding did, HOWEVER the PBR is much bigger than the USTRC. Thanks for the Interview with a Legend.
Ole son...as a 47 year old south Texas farmer/rancher I have had some special moments...getting to sit on front row the last night of NFR...getting pics with you and also Baxter Black at NFR...and in 1994 when 8 seconds came out getting to watch the movie while sitting in the house where part of it was filmed... #goodstuff
Tuff Hedeman! My favorite! The man I looked up to! Especially after his iconic ride at the NFR! For him and his best friend! 8 seconds for Tuff and 8 seconds for Lane! Really! Top 3? What have they doped you with Tuff? No way Imma text that number! It’s a trap!
Hey Dale. Thanks for the interview with Tuff. Audio could be better from the interviewer (not sure if that was you). I met Tuff at the NFR. He had something going on at the convention center. I used to ride the NPRA circuit in WA-OR-ID states. Never was real good like you guys. Ross Coleman is a friend of mine. Another friend of mine won the buckle in saddle bronc at NFR in 2009 (Jesse Kruse). I want to make a suggestion for another interview if I may. You should interview Wade Leslie if you haven't already. Another bull riding friend of mine. He's out here in Quincy, WA. If you didn't know it he's the only bull rider in rodeo history to score a perfect 100 pts.. I have it on DVD if you want to see it. If you're interested let me know and I'll send you his cell phone number then you can work it out with him. He's a pretty amazing guy. Anyway I was glad to find your channel today. Keep up the good work buddy.
funny how its different when you hear a tried and true LEGEND talk. "I was never that good at walking away" I nearly spit out my food laughing! awesome!
Man I've been lucky enough to actually spend with him in I've always wanted to sit down in just ask questions like this pretty damn cool we were talking at the cbr in jackson tennessee in asked him outta the blue I just said you love this don't you in he looks at me goes damn right wouldn't want to be any where else right now in that for me was it great guy always be my hero always
This is so awesome I swear to god I have his shirt from the 2016 rodeo in Hobbs I asked him to give me a sign from the Arena he told me I don’t know about that buddy but I can give I my shirt he signed it I still have it.
Do my ears deceive or is that Randy Q's voice I hear asking questions? Been awhile since we've seen him. Hope he's doing well. Thank you DB for another great video.
I never watched tuff or lane Im only 14 but when I was about 5 or 6 I watched the movie 8 seconds I was instantly hooked I watched all lanes highlights and I watched all of tuffs highlights best movie I have ever seen and probably the best autobiography I have herd.
He used to have a school in Kayenta? I only been to the Ted Nuce one in Breadsprings and I remember Adriano Moraes having one in WR but I was young then
Got to get behind the chutes with tuff in winne texas back in 93 I was still in high school rodeo region 5 I thought it was the coolest thing getting to meet someone that I looked up to I remember he got on to me for standing to coles to the bulls head when he was burning his rope I couldn't help it I was star struck!!!
Man what a great interview he was my hero when I was riding along time ago but watching this video it fired right back up he is bull riding all the way thru if u do a documentary on bull riding and don’t say anything about tuffs acolytes then you aren’t thru period
I just found out that i have the same birthday as tuff hedeman march 2 and i also for my whole life wanted to be a bullrider and im only 12 and i look up to lane frost and tuff hedeman I wishe i could meet him
As someone who wanted to grew up riding anything that moved I eventually became a professional mma guy. His raw emotion about being on top on day and self doubt the next is absolutely true. That emotion is universal with true...Alpha s. Sorry it is what it is
Tuff and Lane no doubt took bull riding to another level and DB you are taking bullriding and rodeo to another yourself by doing these vlogs , mixing comedy along with true hardcore cowboy facts about the rodeo cowboy way of life.you're bringing a lot of new fans to sport.way ta go O'l Son
Could you try to do an interview with Justin McBride or Cody Lambert for the next one? This one was great Edit: Also who's getting hyped for the National Finals this year? I know I am! #2020NFR #ArlingtonTX

So what you can't hear TUFF AND WE CANT HEAR YOU
even with my ear stuck to the speaker
I can't read lips either. Whoever is running this circus needs to be fired.
Love ya ol son
sit down dude thats rude walking behind tuff like that........and lane frost was the best bull rider ever i still cry when i watch 8seconds the next greatest bull rider is tuff.roll tide roll alabama no 1....GOD BLESS YOU ALL...

I remember back in the day watching Lane, Tuff, Jim and Cody riding in Texas every weekend, with Donnie Gay as the announcer. Wonderful memories.
Where?
Isaiah, they were at Mesquite rodeo quite often where Donnie Gay was announcer. It was broadcast on CMT back in the day ♥️ Good times!
Love and tremendous respect for this grand cowboy. He’s the best imho.
Tuff Hedeman and Lane Frost is the only reason I love watching Bull Riding that are to of the Greatest Bull Rides ever I also love the movie 8 seconds I can watch that movie over and over agian

You Sir... are a true American hero. I know you won't like that label... but that is the way I see it, and that will never change.
