In quite possibly the most poorly timed coincidence. Which is fitting for my luck with RNG in the game... I can understand a wipe on PvP servers. But on a PvE server, there shouldn't be any wipe. At all! They should just make bases decay over a month or so to keep server lag down and available building spots for people.
Been playing for weeks and im still lost lol but this was an amazingly detailed and well put together video - felt like you worked for the devs lol good stuff been subbed for a few weeks now.
Hi, question about 3:10. If my friend is on a server that's 1 week behind from my server and my server's new season begins, will he be able to join right away? Or will he need to wait for 1 week and risk waiting for my server to be crowded again before he could get a chance to join?
We don't know yet if your character stays on the same server (which by extension would mean that all the other characters stay on the same server) although it is possible. We also don't know if Starry plan to do a cleanup operation of "dead" characters when a scenario ends. Hopefully we'll get a Dev Talks post this week clearing up the big unknowns.
You're not alone there, I hope they have a 2nd PvE scenario ready for the day 1 servers, doing Manibus again straight away might make the playerbase drop a bit
@@RealMrKrakenhopefully they develop an option to either remove or put inactive player assets into stasis more frequently to free up slots as well, since full, but dead, servers are another pain point of players, especially on the pvp side, and not everyone is cool with just rolling another toon on an active server
@@kazumablackwing4270 Absolutely, this is one thing that's puzzled me since day 1. They have the systems in place, if character has no friends on server, is not in a hive or warband and has not connected for n days, pack them up and ship them to eternaland (or similar)
Im level 50 finally got my lone wolf stuff and weapons but im still so confused by aspects of thus game... like I saved my base as a blue print but the whole saving stuff for the next season im just lost... im at a point where I'm kinda lost with what to do also can't seem to find a team to play the last tasks I have (Level 60 dungeons?) I don't get to play in the week just on Sundays for about 6-8 hours so I've barely scratched end game and the season is almost up... I juat don't think I have the time to play this game to it's fullest and it's upsetting to say the least.
Sounds like you've had a rotten bit of luck with your server. Everything CAN be soloed, but it's not ideal and quite a chore for some of it, so I understand your pain. Hopefully you'll land on a server with a more active/helpful playerbase
From fresh off-the-press information When server enters settlement phase, it will last for 4 weeks. After the settlement phase is over the server will be closed and characters remaining there will be sent to Eternaland So no, but you can then both go to a new server together
@@krado76 I'm pretty those will go too because they are tied to your character level. As the video states, the character level will be reset so those will also be reset. And that's the only way it makes sense. Those specialisations are random so next season you will have some other specialisations you didn't have this season. I'm not sure about this though.
Applied weapon calibrations part of the physical weapon, will get sent to Eternaland inventory. Un-applied calibrations... we don't KNOW yet. The "ordinary materials" line from the devs is very ambiguous, I'd lean more towards no, but will be finding out soon
Would be cool that the Character level stays but the Season Level Resets that you can see when he started playing and how far he went and in the next season character level is golden like a Cosmetic (In Total Lv.50) and (Season Lv.1) and when you increase season lv to lets say (Season Lv.4) your Character Lv is also (Char. Lv. 54) yk what i mean that you can showoff that you like an OG and early player;) for the next Season;)
Yes, the resettlement phase lasts for 4 weeks and then the server closes. If you have not gone to a new scenario by then, your character will be moved to Eternaland
@@RealMrKrakenSo my house will turn into materials and then converted into sand? Because if not, I better demolish it myself before wipe to get materials back
@@negativeZed No you lose everything. You're gonna have to grind it all back up again cuz the cost for bringing resources to the next season are absolutely, ABSOLUTELY ridiculous.
Your video is inaccurate. They have changed what stays and what goes. Players can keep their weapons and deviants now. Though they have NOT defined how players will go about transferring these items into the new season that is all still vague.
Thanks, you may have missed parts or misread the new information. Weapons do not stay, they go to Eternaland as was already known. Because it was left ambiguous before with deviants, I mention that for implied in the Eternaland segment :) You transfer items from Eternaland to a new season by spending up to 20k Material Points, that are granted at settlement phase of a scenario, with each item having a point value.
It was a struggle to get to the point I am currently and saved over 130k link and you’re telling me everything I’ve worked for is gonna disappear all because of some stupid devs. 😂😂😂 yup give me that reason to quit this shit of a game for good already.
your links are not lost, in the (now confirmed) last 4 weeks of the season, you can spend your energy links to get Starchrom, which will transfer. All is not lost. In fact, theres a bit of a reason to keep playing ahead as you'll need 390k Energy Links to get all the Starchrom crates (edit: Starchrom is a lot more valuable and useful than energy links too so also a bonus)
Yeah, for me the whole character reset is a big no no. Why do that? make people have to grind again to get their level up!!! I shall not be playing this anymore.
@@RealMrKraken I'd rather the level increase, same as the WoW days. Went from level 30 upwards and didn't feel like such a chore to get the higher levels.

Best video on this topic I’ve seen thank you
Glad it was helpful!
I just got to lvl 30 in couple days will finish all the deviants and set off onto phase 2 cant wait for it
Get ready for some beautiful locations!
Not the prime war being named, “Prime war possay” 😭😂😭
I ignore the name, they're a lovely bunch 🤣
Latest devs-talk mentioned that deviant will be transfered to eternal land too.
Yeah, it was only implied before with eternaland having the inventory section/securement unit placable. So it's nice to have confirmation.
Thank you for such detailed information.

isnt combo chipset and ingots counted as special specialization item crafted using memetic specialization? those unable to bring to next season tho.
Correct, this has been clarified this morning with the latest game news post
What about memetic specialization? Are they going to be wiped too?

Why do they have to add a reset feature 🤷
Beware the Fridges !!!😁
When my server resets, can my friend from a newer server be able join my reseted server?
From fresh off-the-press information
When server enters settlement phase, it will last for 4 weeks.
After the settlement phase is over the server will be closed and characters remaining there will be sent to Eternaland
So no, but you can then both go to a new server together
Question, after the wipe happens I will be able to join any other server with my progress?
Not ANY servers, as older servers are locked. But what is understood at the moment is new servers
what will happen to fragments
Memetic fragments? Assumption only - They will be included in the 'memetics' bin and wiped
Blueprint fragments - Kept
What about the specializations ? Are those part of the mnemetics and will get reset ?
