I just got my first Ford in years.. The 2004 Focus Zetea 1.6 Automatic is surprisingly very quick,, my Car was only 550 Euros, with 113.000 miles on the clock,, just changed the Oil & Waterpump & Belt, now iv put on another 6 thousend miles and shes going like new,, I have to say the designe of the Mk1 is a future classic . great sound from the Engine with the old school Escort heritage ..
UNBELIEVABLE. You brought this one back from the dead. It was beyond the ICU and ready for the undertaker. But with some serious surgery and careful attention to detail, it's going again. The best video for a long time. Well done Chris and Rob.

The caterpillar is a Cinnabar caterpillar, that turns into a striking black and red moth. Wow Chris really got stuck in and seem to relish the challenge.

Great job Chris and Rob. Nobody would have thought twice about sending this one to the scrap given the condition that it was in, but a bit of elbow grease and ingenuity, it's like a brand new car. This will be somebody's pride and joy today. Great use of resources too, you saved one car from car heaven, and you recycled parts from another car already there. The environmental costs of this one were sunk long before you bought it. Far better to have it on the road and get the use of it than to scrap what was actually a very good car in every way except aesthetically.

I thought you had taken on too much with that project lads but I was sat watching in amazement as you turned a 'Toad' into a beautiful Swan, well-done lads that was one of the best 'almost impossible' transformations I have ever seen, so much hard work and expertise put into it by both of you to transform an almost scrapyard ready car into a lovely once again given a new life car.

it's a bodge job! i wouldn't let it leave the body shop in that condition. If rob was working for my boss he would have got the sack trying to say that's done.

I did exactly the same ironically... an identical black 60 plate Ford Focus Zetec-S 1.6 TDCi that's belonged to our family for 8 years got written off by a careless woman in a brand new range rover. We bought it back from the insurance very cheaply and I bought a donor car, black 09 plate focus titanium for £350 with a snapped timing belt. A few days work and I had swapped the doors, bumpers, interior and steering wheel and the car looked absolutely immaculate. I Saved our focus from the scrapyard and I still feel proud. It's a shame you aren't based in the North, I would have gladly given you the donor car with our previous interior (nothing wrong with it, the donor cars was a bit nicer) and it had a black bootlid with spoiler and trim. I did consider trying to fix the donor car engine but it had 170k miles on it and I had no idea of what damage the engine had in it.
You two are brave and mega talented taking on this project. You've turned a total rubish car (an absolute nail) into a gleaming vehicle that most of us would be proud to own. Well done - I just love to see people suceeed and you nailed that nail of car to emerge a winner !

Well impressed! You’ve upgraded it with a nicer zetec interior, steering wheel and boot spoiler. Big improvement on the Style base spec.
