This was definitely the "kick up the arse" I needed - thanks Rachel! LOL, you're the best! Now, if I could just find a coupon for the store that sells uncomfortable chairs.....Haha. Still waiting for your greatest hits compilation.

😂 Thanks Fred 👍 The compilation video is on it's way - I just keep changing my mind about it. I was thinking about an 'out-takes' style video.... but I swear way too much!
I find an IKEA bar stool is about the most uncomfortable chair I can find 😀

Thanks so much for watching Lisa 👍
Standing really does make such a difference. It's benefits the audience, and for a presenter it instantly lifts the energy and enthusiasm levels 😀 (Plus, I think for the audience, it totally breaks the norm, so really grabs their attention.)

thank you for a useful video :) I have a question - the most annoying thing on the live videos ir the beginning. People are checking their internet connection, asking "can you see me, can you here me" many times, what is more - waiting for two minutes in silence for others to join the live session., this is so boring and annoying!... What would be the tips for those people? :) thank you :)

Thanks so much for watching Julija 😀 I totally agree. The start of a live video can often set the tone / expectation for what's to come and typically it's not good! A really simple tip is to use a full screen welcome slide. A love big image that welcomes people joining, and includes a short message.... 'Thanks for joining. We'll get started in a few minutes, once everyone has joined. So go grab yourself a coffee'. ... For me, this show preparation, plus it allows the host to maintain some control over the start..... and know how to mute all participants on the platform you're using 👍

Great tips. Don't like the cussing. I don't think that's professional. But, the advice is great.

Thanks for watching Hina. I think I'm going to create series for the channel about nerves and how to overcome them. This is a really common problem you have, when you feel your face going red and your heart beating faster. It's the adrenaline in your body making you feeling like you are panicking. Your body is trying to send you away from the thing that is scaring you (standing on stage) and yet you have to stay put, hence going red etc...
Firstly, try focusing on your breathing. Slow your breathing down and keep it as steady as you can. Your increased heart rate will be forcing you to breathe faster, by focus on calm and steady breathing.
Secondly, try not to put too much thought into going red. The person going through this always imagine it to be far worse than it actually is. Most audiences won't notice.
Finally, if you feel like your getting hot and red in the face before you speak in front of an audience, run cold water over your wrists. It will instantly have a cooling effect on your body.
I hope these help - there will be more to come I promise :)
