    1. Keep it simple, condense down your content
    2. Control voice/tone, speed etc
    3. Use notes- use cards only
    4. Make sure the slides relate to what you are saying, don't rely too much on the slides
    5. Practice out loud, rehearse and rehearse again

Preparing for my upcoming presentation, my teacher and friends always say I talk too fast, so I'll try to slow down. Feel kinda nervous about it, but I would try to think I'm just getting too excited about it HAHAHA. Feel so glad to find your channel, thank you!

Thanks so much for watching Beverly :) I hope your presentation goes well.
Remember, if you feel like you're speaking slightly slower than you normally would, you're at the right speed.
If you are feeling nervous, try shifting your focus from performance to communication.
This approach is about shifting your perspective from being evaluated by your audience, to giving value to your audience.
Please do let mw know how it goes - and let me know if there are any other topics / tips you'd like me to focus on in future videos - I upload new content ever week :)

Extremely helpful. Good advice to practice out loud -- you can test out the rhythm of your text and adjust it if it's awkward.

This is so good. Thank you! I am trainee teacher (second career) and it all makes such sense. It's not the teaching or the instructions or lesson planning I worry about - it's my delivery (aka stage fright!). Thank you for this.

Rachel thanks alot for wonderful and helpful tips..I have never been to become a master of ceremony or public speaking..I have a great interest to try one day if you can help me with the short script of MC or public speaking regarding to welcoming, introduction etc..

Thanks so much for watching Edward. If you need to write a welcome script my advice would be to write it for the ear, and not the eye.... keep reading it out-loud as you're writing it :)
