I go back to this one often not only because the house is nice and interesting but also I really enjoy listening to the story about the home and family as they wander through the house. But what I really enjoy the most is the little chuckles and laughter and back and forth banter shared between the owner and his guest. It's such a natural and friendly interaction while enjoying the charming home tour.
I’ve watched the first video multiple times because I really loved it. The color palette had an impact on me and now I’ve incorporated oranges and yellows into my home. No doubt I will do that again on this one. Thanks!
Thank you so much for sharing this longer footage and the accompanying commentary. It is so interesting to have an understanding of how the complex interplay of spaces and light evolved with the changing family structure, and to hear the personal choices behind the design, and the small pieces of personal and family history that have worked their way in. I really enjoyed it and appreciate the generosity of sharing one's home space with the (world) wider web.
Thank you for sharing your personal home with the world. This is a wonderfully graphic home, full of color and geometry. The one main thing missing is that there are not any large plants here and there , and that would balance these graphic aspects with some things organic and sensual. I would also say that it’s too bad there are not more skylights, but that would be the nature of a multi floor condo or apartment. It seems to have been done wherever it can be.
I love his design solutions--especially the slide and insert that allows the TV to be both hidden and showcased. I'm sure the furniture is of impeccable quality...but I think you could approximate a lot of the look with some smart choices from IKEA and Design Within Reach.
First and foremost, thank you for sharing this lovely content with us! I want to mention that in this particular video, the filming is very dark inany shots and it makes it hard to see the colors, textures, and details of these lovely homes. I look forward to seeing what you find next:)
Am I the only one who is super annoyed with the filming?? Lol the camera person keeps angling the camera toward the windows so everything looks super dark and you can't see their faces at all because the light is coming through behind them.
You and one other I guess. 😂 The notes explain this is an uncut version - posted for those who wanted all the details. Knowing that, I’d say we take it or leave it. I found it fascinating.
Not a big fan of how this was filmed, felt a bit inexperienced and unsure. Everything was so dark because the camera was almost always set up in a way that backlit the people, casting the faces in shadow - and the shot into the pantry from out in the dining/sitting room that didn't show _anything_ that was being talked about? Not only was it annoying but also a too long, static shot. Could have used a cutaway, visually and to help the pacing. The space was very interesting as were the interviewer's question, but the filming completely kept pulling me out of watching :(
Beautiful home but who did the cinematography of this? It's terrible. Doesn't even show some of the things he talks about in the apartment. Show us what he's talking about rather than him talking about it
I wish these people and channels would all stop making the same videos over and over I’ve seen this place multiple times already and many others do the same
The first video was a bit different I think. I understand some of it is repetitive but the first video was more an interview. Anyway I’m happy to see em both
I enjoyed the conversation very much. Camera work was a bit eccentric: focused on the speakers more than the interiors & lighting was very dim at times, making it hard to discern the elements. But a nice documentary, nevertheless.
His use of colors (especially primary colors) in this space, is its own master class in color theory.
this man has great taste I'm so glad you dropped the full tour.

i always appreciate the irony of un-hiding the tv as though its a secret whilst being recorded on camera.

LOVE his personality! His seasoned experience within the world of design exploration shows through each selection. Bravo!
What a gorgeous home. God I wish I had money
Concur totally! My first thought always when I watch these homes is: “ I wish I had money!” It’s a different universe for the wealthy! 😢

It's an inspiring testament to the endless possibilities of urban living and the art of crafting a harmonious sanctuary in the clouds. ☁☁

That is a phenomenal home
Lovely to see more details from this home!

Okay, this is it, the best house I’ve ever seen. Sold. Done. Hands down. Gorgeous. Perfection.
Thank you for this uncut version - endlessly inspirational and rich with life
Absolutely loved this in-depth cut! I was really able to take in the thoughtfulness of the all the design elements. What an amazing home!
Wow, I do love all those details and colour themes of this apartment. It's so exciting to watch. Like an adventure tour.
One word: Beautiful!
I adore the predominantly autumnal palette, accented by bursts of primary colour, which creates such warmth and soul.
Amazing work with this series. Looking forward to the next episodes!
What a happy house. The house breathes with their energy.
Oh, I really enjoy this version of the tour. I understand better how the rooms connect, the floor plan. Excellent, thank you.
LOVED this ! such a privilege to be given access to this uncut version

I love this home. Very refined taste.
Wonderful in every way!
So class!!! ❤

beautiful home, for me it is obviously not too minimalist but yet so calming
Thank you for the video.

I do see your point, but personally I think this is just a rather dark north facing flat.
Anybody have any idea who made the orangey headboard in the bedroom
I'm afraid to know how many people I would murder to get this house. A true curatorial experience.
can i ask what using eames chair?
i think material is fiberglass is that right? or plastic?
When can I move in……please?
What’s that orange blocky thing by the window?
This is the first time i like an attempt at hiding the tv
I need to know where the art above the bed is from ! Anyone has an idea of the artist ?
Lovely, except the orange colour giving it a retro feel.

Maybe that’s the point - the space is created and curated by Simon Allford, so his thoughts remain the foundations of the house
its annoying when you don't get to see what the people are talking about. Your camera person or editor is missing things out
Dark, boring typical architect’s home. Similar to mine 😂

No one is forcing you to watch. Most of their content is short-form. This is obviously for people in their audience who want a deep dive.
