Hmmm... Haven't had a bottle of The Balvenie in a very long time. Maybe I'm due for one like this.

Balvenie is such great classic Speyside flavors and the almost always hit a very delicate balance with the cask influences. My only gripe is the same as yours, they have gotten to expensive compared to others distilleries delivering close to the same quality.

Prices are nuts ! I’ve even seen the 14 Caribbean cakes for well over $100
