Great to see another review Erik. Not had this, or many other Balvenie expressions, but good to hear your thoughts. Cheers brother.
Cheers, Al! Thanks for checking it out and hope all is well with you sir!
This 15 was my first foray in sherry. Nice blast from the past Erik!
Still have half the bottle. Great, fruity nose without any sulfur in mine. And a spicy palate. I'm not a big Balvenie fan but this is a great $95 bottle. To bad I spent 125.
Still not convinced about sherry, but I'll keep trying.
Nice man! Awesome you still have some too. And what a great price! I miss the good ole days
For the quality of most Balvenie releases I’ve tasted over the years, I’m surprised that I don’t buy that many bottles. I’m not sure if it’s often somewhat too sweet for this funk-lover, or abit higher priced than many more enticing releases, or what but I remain abit perplexed because it’s still often the best option in many bars and generally a satisfying dram. I always found the Tun series pretty awesome but again never my choice even if I might on the very rare occasion spend that much on a single bottle.
I can understand that. And yeah, the Tun series are really fun but the price has gotten crazy
that was cute that Lord Winston made an appearance in the video. Are you coloring your hair now ? I'm tellin Mom !!! I don't think Balvenie colors any of their stuff. LOL !!! I have a 15 year from 2016 that makes that look light and it's as dark as a Glendronach 18 or about like an Edradour.
It’s always a bonus when he decides to show his face haha. And no, I don’t color my hair lol.
Balvenie already discontinued 12 and 15 single barrel, so once its gone on shelf, it wont restock
Woah really?? Wow
@@MaltMuserWhisky source from brand ambassador of Taiwan, I believe its pretty accurate since Taiwan is one of the biggest markets for William Grant & Son
