We have a mental health crisis in this country
wow so deep
They do…. It’s called a hospital but not enough well trained counselors & the paid grade is low.
He's not mental anymore
It's getting crazy in La Jolla.
For La Jolla, this is super crazy......
i remember back in the early 2000s and into the 2010s even, that area near the comedy store on Pearl St. used to be filled with homeless. there was this one guy who was over 6ft tall who dressed like a ballerina with a pink tutu wearing drag makeup who lived on that street for over a couple years
Yeah, well I work there doing 2nd shift security near the beach. It's usually pretty quiet, but especially with the Green Line trolley extension going up to UTC improving access to the area things have been happening.
@@KageNoTora74 I have two jobs in La Jolla, it's been pretty weird lately.
There is a crime scene right now as we speak on La Jolla Blvd. near Bird Rock.
@@itdo. I know exactly who you are talking about!!!! He came inside my job a few months ago. He currently lives near Palm Springs.
Insert classic phrase, “Don’t bring a knife to a gunfight” here.
Wow.... this in a really nice part of La Jolla as well, right next to PB..... the mentall Illl are spreading all over SD now :(
Well they saturated east county and south bay with them to the point it's inevitable they start moving in north county. I was at a grocery store and vista and the lady acted shocked there weren't any grocery carts. We all know why and this is new for north county
that’s Bird Rock
Blame the new trolley system near UTC
Damn! First thing in the morning and this dude chose violence
always remember that 21 foot rule
F..k around and find out.

Drugs or Mental? Probably both! Sad the police have to deal with this nonsense.
mental health people
This shall not stand, that is violence in Bird Rock. Since the Bird Rock Bandits were arrested, this community has been safe.
Hey. Doug, was that the knife in the street? Was the blade closed?
It was open. Just couldn't get the right angle.
Don’t ever bring knives to gunfights.
Unfortunate that it had to escalate to a weapon discharge, but great job PD.. and thank you.
Sad that it had to go down this way.
Why is it sad? This person chose his fate.
@@tbone3972And the officer has to live with it.😢
@@topcatwarrior:don’t think the cop would be bothered by it. It adds to their machismo and street cred.
@@chanandler4567 If you know an active cop, ask him or her. I don't think you are correct.
@@topcatwarrior To kill or be killed? That is the question.
Many people are just losing their mind! this guy has a evil spirit in him, or just a crazy guy cant control his bad temper lol!
Unfortunately, they are welcome by the compassionate Dims. this is why we have so many. Not only are we a sanctuary state for illegals, but we are number one by a long shot for the mentally disturbed,
Calif. has 11.7% of the US population. but 49% of the homeless.
That's crazy I was out in the water surfing at Tourmaline when this happened and I remember hearing a bunch of sirens
