GoPro is not what it used to be and has been lacking in feature for some time! I made the right choice with the Ace Pro 2 though hopefully they have an update which allows 2 mics to be connected at once! The “bult in mic” on the Ace Pro 2 is great with its built in wind muff! 🤙🏽
I think I'd have to agree with your choice. If you are just looking to vlog and not worried about melding your footage with other camera footage, then the Ace Pro 2 is the way to go. The DJI Action 5 is a no go for me. It trashes the texture in the clouds and makes shadowy scenes feel very unnatural.
Nice comparison of the three main competitors! We bought the Action 5's since they are waterproof to 20m, and have that internal storage and battery capacity we need. Check out our videos if you want to see how the Action 5 performs underwater.
I went with the Action 5 pro for the D-Log color profile since I tend to color grade my footage and if I use my iPhone 16 pro for B-roll shots. I can use the Apple log as well to match all my footage.

Hi, I was looking at the end of November to see which one to buy, because I would like it without having to spend too much money and my decision was the insta360 ace pro 2, but buying it directly from them took 30 days to ship and at that time they had a problem with it getting hot and fogging up the lens and recording poorly. They didn't say anything until they fixed it. I had bought it because I liked several things about it, but I had to cancel it and ended up buying the Dji Action 5 Pro.
@@SoloRid3ri liked its a great camera, but the features that the insta360 ace pro 2 i liked most, the clarity zoom, the wind guard, the gestures ai, the app interface and editing, etc.
But the Dji Action 5 Pro i liked his features like super night mode, the great battery, the fast charging, the pressure sensor for altitude and diving, etc.

I agree with your rankings 100%. The Ace Pro 2 is surprisingly good and the audio from it is top notch. The Gopro is a joke. The Action 5 is great but IMHO there isn't enough difference between it and the Action 4 to justify the extra cost. I have the Action 4 because I'm pretty deep in the DJI ecosystem with the Pocket 3, Mic 2, and mic mini but if it weren't for that I would definitely go Ace Pro 2 if I was buying one today. Man the GoPro is such a disappointment!Loved the brand since Hero 2 they where da bomb!The 13 could have been something great if they where trying to compete with the others but no they pulled an Apple and they managed to do nothing just a tiny facelift.Lets face it the 13 really is a 12 recycled but now you can slap on some filters with a hefty price tag.... Day time is still great footage, in a way it felt its better than the other 2. For me the winner is the DJI Osmo Action 5 PRO.For my eyes it has the better image,the ACE PRO 2 felt a bit soft and almost blurry at times.
I would like to give the action 5 pro a try, however I own the GP 12 and for what I do, MTB the stabilization it’s great. I feel like ace pro 2 colors are to expose, to bright. Now that’s my personal opinion. I’m sure others have a different one, glad for different product, different opinions. Have full all with whatever camera you own, or want. Happy 2025.

Insta360 Ace Pro 2 by far. I hope it has 4K 30fps for USB-C webcam use.
