Finally somebody makes a review of ACTION CAMERAS. Most of reviews on UA-cam compare them in situations where i ask myself “do they know it’s an action camera?”
Haha Cheers man! Pretty sure only myself and DC Rainmaker have been as openly transparent as this with raw footage. Everyone can have an opinion but at the end of the day you can’t argue with facts
@ it seems hey fixed it since the 12. I never experienced it personally with older cameras but I think it’s cause most times I’m always around water but I did once have my hero11 overheat while vlogging for like 40 min non stop in 35 degrees heat shooting 5.3k 🤣
You are the guy who I'll believe the action camera review! I've been using GoPro since the Hero4 up to 13th now. I also own the Ace Pro, and there are situations where I use it in low light conditions. However, 90% of the time when I need an action camera, I pick the GoPro. I agree with you that there are too many biased videos with other action cameras. Unfortunately, they are not necessarily better than the GoPro. Thank you for making this video!
I came to similar conclusions after looking at your raws (and some of my own tests). I fully bought the hype online and then was pretty surprised. Image depth, cleanliness, colors and quality on GoPro is on a different level when you look at the raws you provided (and when shot in the right settings). DJI wins in lowlight clearly, but like you said, not quite to the quality that you’d want it to be when pixel peeping - but even so there will be instances where that helps, for sure. Let’s all hope for some new GoPro tech in the future. Nice thorough review Chris, and thanks for providing raws. Let the people decide 👍🏻
This is probably the absolute best and most honest review (even better than mine). I do, however, very much value the removable wind guard and voice enhancement on the Ace Pro 2 based on my use case. For me, being able to take this on vacation to a beach, go snorkeling or free diving, drying the camera off and doing some vlogging without having to worry about connecting a non-waterproof external mic or having unusable audio due to wind noise really puts the Ace Pro 2 up there on my list. Insta 360 also recently added a flat color profile which gets rid of the overly contrasty look that I didn't like so much as well. I also hate the fact the GoPro doesn't have fast charging. But I can definitely see how it would be the winner for someone who uses an action cam for action in well lit scenarios.
I fully agree with your approach, downloading the 90GB of raw files as we speak, to compare at home. This is one of the first and only really honest and helpful comparisons here on UA-cam. As a long time GoPro owner, I share a lot of your points, but all the negative reviews have been putting some doubt on this in the last couple of months. Even if it was a headache to produce this video, I would very much appreciate a similar one next year with the next generation of cameras. Cheers.
Each have their own strength and weakness, it's really down to which suits you the best. Both DJI and Insta have quick charge and able to connect to DJI's wireless mic which is a big bonus. Low light performance and battery life on the GoPro are the two main disadvantages they need to work on.
The only time GoPro was cheaper is if you buy it on their website if you go to a shop the DJI is more expensive. Also the go pro app and the need to pay for things that use come as standard in the app has made me move to DJI. Let’s face it besides the battery and the lens (more cost 🙄) you might as well buy the hero 10,11, or 12 as ,overall they are pretty much identical. GoPro needs to step up their game because I am sure the next generation of both the DJI and the Insta360 will be better that GoPro. Either innovative or become obsolete.
I'm beyond stoked to see a actual action cam review. There's so many misleading (most likely paid for) comparison videos out there where they clearly knew which camera is the winner before they even shot the video, but this is how a action cam review should be. Well done chris
Great review! Seems like most the comparisons are done by tech reviewers and not the best content creators. Any one can do a simple side-by-side and pixel peep, but I like how you put them into the action as one of the best out there and then take a look. And yes, we'd love that GoPro Labs video! Keep killing it Chris.
Just like Canon, GoPro colour is near perfect! Also the video just looks pleasing overall and more true to life. Thank you for your efforts in putting this together 😊👍🏻🍺
Low light performance is pretty important for mountain bikers for example, deep in the forests it can be pretty dark, especially in wet, cloudy/foggy conditions. I'm leaning towards the look of DJI, although GoPro has some nice features that are quite important (interval photos, gps, etc.)
Yeah totally get it! I would go download the raw footage where I ride the bike through the forest during the day, sunset and after sunset and it should help you decide which is best! I found dji low light was a little bit better but the stabilisation gets really bad and blurry but the GoPro stabilisation and image looks better but can be a little darker. The GoPro footage usually looks more usable
Owning both GoPro 12 ( with Max Lens ) and DJI Action 5 ( waiting booster lens ), I use them almost only for action sports and I agree that Max Lens mod with Horizon lock is clearly a big plus. Nevertheless, I would say that one advantage is key for the DJI when doing water sports : Battery life, DJI battery is almost twice than GoPro
Hero12 with max lens and OA5 with boost lens is honestly a killer combo👌 the dji battery is better but it’s not a huge difference compared to the hero13 when you use high performance modes, but it is still better
Battery life difference is insane! Traveling through temperatures as low as minus 30F (~ -35c?) and the action 5 just won’t die even when on my roof rack in the windchill 😂
Thanks Chris. Great video and insight. Awesome meeting you and getting your view. Would you say the action 5 is a big jump for action 4? What your view on action 4?
I agree with everything you said. All cameras are great. DJI and Insta360 has some great features but Gopro has the best image quality and stabilization and fovs, and those are the most important things when comparing action cameras.
Frame interpolation is not true slow motion. Dji does not shoot 960fps. It’s the same thing as using twixtor or Topaz or even optical flow to create slowmo footage. It works but doesn’t look great unless it’s a super clean shot. Don’t get me wrong it’s a cool feature to have that processing in camera but it’s something that can be easily done to any footage from any camera
@@KevGoesRiding Let's face it most users don't edit their stuff with Adobe Premiere (which nobody should do anyways- just use DaVinci Resolve), but heck GoPoo fucked the rest of users over by cancelling their free editing platform recently due to heavy cost cutting...
Not a fan of Gopro’s poor low light, the high bitrate wouldn’t matter as much nor does the Gopro take advantage of it. Also that Gopro had a long headstart and refuses to do anything new. The burst slowmo is basically fake and you can do in post with optical flow. Used the Gopro 6,8,10 but DJI came in swinging hard
Burst slowmo is the opposite of fake - optical flow is fake slow motion. actually capturing real frames (whatever the resolution) is by definition, real slow motion
Great review, I like that you are focusing on action cam capabilities👍. I own a Gopro 13 black, and like it for the following resons: 1) 8/7 videos for snorkeling, to ensure to capture everything 2) Gopro Max lense on the race- and mountainbike 3) natural colors 4) Image stabilisation 5) possibility to predefine video modes
Cheers🙏🙌 I can’t even begin to tell you how frustrated I got watching comparison videos of these 3 cameras with most people using them to vlog in a forest 😂🤦♂️ only reason I made this video was to help people who actually do activities where you need an action camera!
@@ChrisRogers, man you would have saved me a lot of money had these type of videos come out sooner. I’m a huge tech fan so I have all of them as I need to validate myself and GP always seemed to come out ahead on IQ, but my friends around me were sold on these YT videos who were either bias or selling everything except that, such as dji mic1/2, fast and easy UI/UX, battery life, lowlight, etc etc. I guess for casual use or for what they do, it works for them. For me, I like to dig more into it and use Gopro labs and what you shared in this video are all points I considered and reach for the GPs when I want highest IQ. And the colors debate is no different than when people debate between Sony and Canon and use the term “color science.” Color science is RGB, white balance and can be adjusted in raw. Canon for a long time focused on making the colors more pleasing to the eyes and you can say the same to Panasonic, Fuji, and Nikon. Just shoot raw and dial it in. No different with action cams. Shoot raw and adjust the colors. Besides I think most of these brands are using 10bit 4:2:0 and not 4:2:2 if I remember correctly, with exception of AP1/2 using 8bit + AI processing. Good job reminding everyone on Gopro labs which I don’t see mentioned much. Also on compatibility, GP9-13 are all backward compatible except in 13 they changed the batteries. In contrast, A1 was way different from A2 from A3. Only A4 and A5 are same form factor and can share the same accessories. That means if you start at A1 to A4, you’re spending it year or two when you upgrade. Worst with Insta360 from One R and RS works but then AP1 it doesn’t. But AP2 works with AP1. And the accessories are super expensive when you load up that some works with newer models and some doesn’t. And new accessories, some are compatible and some are not. It gets really expensive. So I rarely hear any YT’er talk about these cons, not able to tweak and optimize settings like Gopro labs or being backward and forward compatible for the most part for 5 generations. Anyhow to each of its own. But nice to see competition so it pushes all of them to stay relevant and we consumers, prosumers, and pros can benefit from it. Good work Chris for sharing your real experience using these tools in action cam mode as they were made for!
Thanks for the amazing comparison! I completely agree with your conclusion, GoPro is definitely the best. Also, I absolutely love your videos! You’re undoubtedly one of the most professional creators in your field, and the quality and editing of your videos are top-notch! 👍🏻
😂 yes this is actually super annoying! But you also can still use the camera with out it. The quick mounts are almost pointless unless you own at least 5! I had to buy so many 😅
I used GoPros all the way up until the hero 11 on fpv drones. Every time I tried to get an indoor, sunset, or sunrise shot I was always disappointed by the amount of grain in the image. During broad daylight, quality was great! But I also couldn’t stand the poor battery life, especially in the cold/heat as well as the software freezes and corrupted files. Have those things been fixed with the hero 13? I’ve found the action 5 to be such a refreshing experience in all those categories.
"Have those things been fixed with the hero 13?" The answer is no. It still turns to mud quality when there's not enough light. So even though "GoPro has the highest bitrate", it is kind of useless if not in a well lit scene.
Super timely review. I have been trying to decide betweet DJI Action 5 and Insta 360 Ace Pro 2. I had previously ordered the GoPro 12 but it overheated and the door fell off! I sent it back. THey have an excellent return policy and getting a refund was drama free. I'm going with the DGI and you can be sure I'll use your affliate link. Happy to support. Can't wait to get in the water with this one!
Amazing video!! I got the old insta360 ace pro, and I wonder if the DJI Osmo Action 5 is better than the ace pro? is it has a good digital zoom? Thanks!
If shooting at night is your main priority I would advise looking at Sony Cameras because they are incredible in the dark. Unfortunately they are not action cameras but if you don’t need a rugged camera then Sony is the way to go 👌
I do have a question that I haven't seen answered yet and it about water droplets that quite often accumulate on lenses when filming water sports destroying the image. How those three cameras compare in this area including those max / boost lenses?
I think most of the hate towards GoPro is organic, genuine and well deseved. They have been trolling their users for years with half bake products. DJI might be paying reviewer but it's very reliable. Is GoPro 13 reliable perhaps but if it is we should thank the competition. I for myself couldnt wait to leave the GoPro world fast enough. The first camera that satisfied me was the DJI Action 4 that actually seems to have better image quality than the 5.
I will always recommend the Ultra-wide lens (max lens mod2) it’s definitely the best and most useful one out of all of them in my opinion! If you do a lot of activities like riding bikes the ND filters also work great
As a travel content creator and upgrading from iPhone 7 for mainly video purpose to shoot travel videos/ vlogs, cycling/ motovlog which will be a better option Gopro 13 or Dji Action 5pro. Want a better investment and can buy only one of these.
I agree on gopro having the best picture quality but for me over multiple generations of my gopro the overheating, random software issues, screen freezing , shut offs. Id rather have a little less quality with the dji if we are talking youtube. I stopped on the 12 with gopro. So far the dji A5 has been great.
I guess you're the only one left praising gopro :))) Gopro still has a fatal flaw: it's very unreliable in cold environment. So neither your test is a complete test afterall. Also gopro has the most unnatural standard profile look out of those 3. Ace Pro 2 is targeted more towards vloggers. I don't care about exaggerated wide fovs, personally I like tighter more cinematic fovs, and the Clarity zoom on Ace Pro 2 sold me on that. Highest bitrate on gopro?? You gotta be kidding. I have a gopro 11 (which has the same IQ as 12 and 13) and as soon as I enter in shade the finest details just vanish. So another biased "comparison"...
You likely have max iso too high, which is where you’ll see details break down. Not from lack of bitrate but from shadow gaining. You still have trouble in cold with enduro battery? I have no issues.
Agreed. This feels like a GoPro ad. High bitrate is useless when it's mud quality when there's not enough light. Same with the camera itself around reliability/battery life.
wow 300mb in gopro labs for the 13 thats wild! do you always have it maxed out at 300? I've got my 12 filming at 180mb cause i've heard filming at 200mb doesn't work across all modes in the camera. Great video man looking forward to getting the 13 in the new year!
@@evanmacalister no I mostly use 200mbps because 300mbps just burns the battery so quick! But I know Parker Sheppard uses 300 for FPV shots! 200 is enough for me for the way i use it. 👌
In my real world experience I find the Action 4 is better than the Action 5 in daytime image quality. I'm sure this video was exhausting to make but If you were to do a few tests using the A4 in the normal color profile it would be noticeably better than the A5. The image is much closer to the Gopro. I would recommend saving some money on the A5 camera and get the A4 and picking up one of the DJI wireless mics.
Did Gopro sponsor your video? :) I don't agree with the results at all...DJI is the absolute winner in almost every area...I used 5 gopros and I moved to DJI, it was a great decision...DJI wins by far, image quality, stabilization, speed, battery life etc etc...I will never go back to Gopro ..
One thing I think you missed is battery life. I think this is a huge one. Something that I think everyone misses is stabilization in high frame rat. I believe GoPro is the only one that has it. So if you're speed ramping, GoPro is really the only choice
I speak about battery life at 11:00 😊 Dji is forsure the winner but they have a lower bit rate. When using in high end modes the Dji would also only win by 9-15% at most 🤷♂️ I would say GoPro and Insta were almost equal every time on high end modes. For some reason, the insta battery dies way faster when shooting Timelapse’s 🤷♂️😅 For some weird reason dji doesn’t have stabilisation in the slowmotion mode like you said but if you choose 4k120fps in regular video then it has stabilisation, but that is a terrible user experience and they should definitely fix that!
I need to upgrade like NOW. Been on the edge of all 3 cameras. I need the best battery life for -10 degree weather, great nightlapse quality and something that is easy to manage. I have a GoPro 8 now and it’s great but battery life is dog 💩
@@LoganArndt so the DJI battery is great but GoPro night lapse quality is WAY better and has more options like 8:7 where as DJI only has 16:9 and the image looks a little soft. Download the Dropbox footage and you can see! The ace pro 2 is cool cause of the longer shutter but the quality is not as great and for some reason the battery dies way quicker on Timelapse mode compared to GoPro and DJI. The HERO13 will be an INSANE upgrade from the HERO8! Even the HERO12 will do the job but the hero13 battery is still better.
If you want to use GoPro properly, you have to pay a yearly subscription about 50€. Battery life is pretty poor, even though the picture quality is the best of all of these cameras. I got a dji action 5 with one battery inside the box and 2 additional batteries for the price of standard combo. I also have an dji app for free, good low light performance and good 4k videos with normal light.
Wanna point out that in some countries like my homeland Colombia or Chile are having a “discount war” over action cameras. Tech in latam is waay more expensive cuz taxes and delivery fees. So having GoPro13 accessory bundle + GP housing for 410 USD was a nobrainer for me when compared to similar bundle (w/o housing) for DJI at 520 USD
To your point regarding hate for GoPro on YT, I also noticed it from several creators that I watch AND I had decided to not get the 13 for my next upgrade. Thanks for this useful comparison! Yeah so, where is the link to that GoPro Labs video you mentioned?! (dude, you slipping?)
Another great video with unbiased raw data. Novice/intermediate user who bought both the GoPro 12 and GoPro 13 due to your content and your review just proves I made the right choices!
DJI is spending a LOT on marketing to knock out gopro. gopro is letting their camera speak for itself. that alone is enough for me to stick with gopro.
Lol trust me when I say DJI is doing much better with their tech. I've seen so many comments and reviews that GoPro is becoming the same ole thing over and over. I have the Action 5 Pro and I geneuinely do love it because most vlogs or travel videos i'm going to end up editing does turn out well after shooting in D-Log (ESPECIALLY the low-light which I tried on a cabin trip recently with friends).
Great review and most impactful thing said was at the end about creators and sponsored content. I think GoPro should start giving out their cameras to a larger audience of small creators who create videos. Try and grow more organcially and get it in more hands, that strategy alone would hit a larger and new pool outside of UA-cam tech/camera reviewers.
What GoPoo should do is stop releasing the same hardware three times in a row with minor firmware fixes. Hero 11, 12 and 13 is basically the same thing. Instead of swapping out with newer batteries they should have ditched the power wasteful GP2 chip with a new processor built on a smaller node.
@@Worsdier Perhaps you should check your power supply. There's a possibility of high voltage passing through your plugs. Also check if your SD card is genuine SanDisk extreme pro. There are many fakes sold in the market.
Thank you Chris for the absolute truth!! ... especially 21:57 The most complete, unbiased review - hands down. My Hero 13's blow me away - every time. Chris and GoPro ...
Sorry but GoPro cameras are not reliable. I've owned 5 of them and they have all eventually failed me. When they are working and the lighting is good they are great but when you lose clips because of a glitch or end up with an entire day of footage without audio it really sucks. They will not begetting any more of my money.
Same here. At times when I want to use my GoPros, it fails me. Battery drains and left with 0% battery, thus missing the action. Not to mention overheating, lag, and other weird stuff.
GoPro have definitely had reliability issues on the previous cameras and been called out for it online in the past. Most review channels has said it’s been way better since the hero12 but I guess it’s up to GoPro now to try earn that trust back with the newer cameras
You remind me like I am watching SkySports F1 and all the love for only British drivers * just my 2 cents 😉 Max is 5th time in a row Worlds Champion, just saying.
For major consumers I believe is not dlog, 10 bit, gopro labs etc but heat production, bad light performance and price are important. My opinion DJI wins that battle
Very fair points! I would also recommend you download the low light folder on Dropbox and you will be quite surprised at what you see 😅 non of these cameras over heat during actual activities. I put all of them in the sun on a tripod filming 4k 120fps just to see what would happen and both GoPro and DJI overheated around the same time at 12minutes and ace pro2 overheated at 15minutes. But yeah I’ll let the raw footage speak for itself haha
Ive had them all and lots of them you sir got me into the gopros from bk in the day but go pro when somethink breaks there service is terrible and silly expensive ! Dji action 5 smashed it bits flying fpv 3 days later care refresh done and to be fair for all the clips that u make you could film wiv a potatoe and make it look sik 😂😂😂😂😂❤
Dude on most other comparison videos the GoPro footage looks like trash. Here the GoPro looks on par and better than the competition. These paid for so-called creators need to stop! I own GoPro 11/13 and the Insta AP1 both cameras have their best and worst case scenarios which is why it pays to film with different brands. Good stuff homie
Dude honestly I believe it’s cause these tech reviewers don’t actually get told what are the BEST settings for each camera! It literally took me almost 4 days to work it out for each camera! The dji normal mode is terrible in my opinion but the DLogM mode is great. And then I don’t like the GoPro footage if sharpness is on high or medium so I don’t fully blame the tech reviewers because they’re not specialised like me but they also are not “qualified” to actually be comparing these cameras anyway 😅
I can definitely see that view point of reviewers not filming with the best case settings. Or maybe they set the wrong settings on purpose. GoPro gets beat up on by a lot of channels. I film fishing videos on a different channel. I use almost identical settings on the GoPro as you. On the water in my experience is the hardest to capture consistent image quality. I’ve tried DJI as well for context and GoPro is the most consistent. The 8:7 aspect ratio or 1:1 with the wide angle lens on the GoPro is a game changer to say the least!
"Dude on most other comparison videos the GoPro footage looks like trash." Maybe because they're using it as it is out of the box as opposed to Chris who has adjusted every camera to different settings, thus affecting the overall results. Maybe the DJI or Insta360 could've gotten better results but maybe he had on some crap settings which skewed the outcome. This whole video feels like a paid GoPro ad.
love this review!! specially knowing you are a gopro fan ans sponsored by ... but after watch and based in the QUALITY of images I still can see a winner and for me is the DJI, specially in the dynamic range. Anymways this is just an apreciation
Appreciate the comment man! I would still recommend to go check out the raw footage, dynamic range was definitely 50/50 between GoPro and dji depending on the situation but the GoPro HDR is for sure way better than DJI, not sure what DJI did with their HLG mode but it doesn’t perform very well, it’s super strange 🤷♂️ I also wish I could make the dji footage even less sharp too. Either way both are substantially better than Insta360 😅
@@ChrisRogers that's why GoPoo is suing Insta 360 for patent infringement I guess. To stop Insta sales in the US is Woodmans wet dream. Don't get me started on the GoPoo infrigements which removed live view preview from the app with no explanation to the end user. Terrible business practices from GoPoo all around. I'm even old enough to recall the GoPoo infringement of the jaws mount patent.
Also GoPro is an American company and half it’s assembly line is in Mexico. Dji and insta360 are Chinese. I’d rather get spied by a fellow American than by great leader Xi
If you so good at judging other tech multimillionaires companies look so bad with their camera, try and design your own camera and let other UA-camr give it a comment, review and their perspective. Good luck with that mate
Very good review of all three cameras. But it is very clear that you are closely connected to GoPro. And is probably paid by them. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. GoPro is struggling, we all know that. And then they need so many positive reviews. I have all three of these cameras myself, and my rating is probably the complete opposite of your rating. And I bought them all with my own money, doubt you bought yours. Especially GoPro. I can't see GoPro bringing anything new, no innovation since the previous models. Yes, you can buy many different lenses. But again, it will just be a lot of extra money to spend. I think many people just wanted more from GoPro this time. And when you claim that the user interface and menu were just as good on the GoPro. Then I had to laugh, it's not. The menu is still slow and still has bugs. The processor is not good enough. But again, we all have different preferences👍
next year gopro will have a new processor. image quality is clearly the best on gopro besides in low light, but the others look artificial in low light. software is gopro's weakness. i would wait for next year to buy a new one.
You clearly did not watch the slow motion part. See how GoPro went up to 360fps at 960p. That is the true innovation mate. Remember, all these are supposed to be action cameras.
Finally somebody makes a review of ACTION CAMERAS. Most of reviews on UA-cam compare them in situations where i ask myself “do they know it’s an action camera?”

Low light performance is pretty important for mountain bikers for example, deep in the forests it can be pretty dark, especially in wet, cloudy/foggy conditions.

So many good comparisons! I use the GoPro Hero 13 everyday for my videos and love it! Huge fan of what the GoPro offers!
GoPros image quality is miles ahead. It’s not even close
Gopro gets the win in slow motion when DJI has 960fps burst slow motion in 1080p where gopro only has half of that in 720p ? ehm....
But it slows the clip at which ever point the user decides?
@@RobHK did you even read his reply? Do you even understand what he said?
@@KevGoesRiding Let's face it most users don't edit their stuff with Adobe Premiere (which nobody should do anyways- just use DaVinci Resolve), but heck GoPoo fucked the rest of users over by cancelling their free editing platform recently due to heavy cost cutting...
You forgot about batteries, how long they last and the shooting time…
Not a fan of Gopro’s poor low light, the high bitrate wouldn’t matter as much nor does the Gopro take advantage of it.
EPIC REVIEW!!!! Thank you for this!!!!
Thanks for the Raw footage
Thanks for the amazing comparison! I completely agree with your conclusion, GoPro is definitely the best. Also, I absolutely love your videos! You’re undoubtedly one of the most professional creators in your field, and the quality and editing of your videos are top-notch! 👍🏻
GoPro quick release mount is bought separately though, should be an instant #3 place
Woooow Thanks for the video legend🔥🔥🔥
wow what an incredible review! thank you!!
Amazing video!!
I got the old insta360 ace pro, and I wonder if the DJI Osmo Action 5 is better than the ace pro?
is it has a good digital zoom?
Thanks!

Could you doing it at night? I saw the quality not good, any recommends?
If shooting at night is your main priority I would advise looking at Sony Cameras because they are incredible in the dark. Unfortunately they are not action cameras but if you don’t need a rugged camera then Sony is the way to go 👌
I do have a question that I haven't seen answered yet and it about water droplets that quite often accumulate on lenses when filming water sports destroying the image. How those three cameras compare in this area including those max / boost lenses?
Great Review 👍
I think most of the hate towards GoPro is organic, genuine and well deseved. They have been trolling their users for years with half bake products. DJI might be paying reviewer but it's very reliable. Is GoPro 13 reliable perhaps but if it is we should thank the competition. I for myself couldnt wait to leave the GoPro world fast enough. The first camera that satisfied me was the DJI Action 4 that actually seems to have better image quality than the 5.
This is like a GoPro Ad…
Paid as well.
What if you shoot in 4k? Does the GoPro still win the image quality section?
Any lenses in use on gopro, wath do you think
I will always recommend the Ultra-wide lens (max lens mod2) it’s definitely the best and most useful one out of all of them in my opinion! If you do a lot of activities like riding bikes the ND filters also work great
GoPro Labs video?
Have updated the description now! Sorry about that!
@@ChrisRogers Thanks man can't wait to dive into it!
Awesome comparison man. I’ve tried both the GoPro and DJI extensively and I always go back to GoPro 🙌
I'm your big fan videos 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
Good job Chris ❤
All my videos on UA-cam shot by iPhone
i think Whichever you like, choose it.
I'm literally thinking about going back to the GoPro also I bought your camera housing
i love the you compare this camera ,
lol did see all the comments and loved seeing everyone defending the camera they like the best but the quality of the go pro is way better.
Great job sir
Thought I made a mistake by buying the Go Pro 13 you have eased my mind lmaoo
In my real world experience I find the Action 4 is better than the Action 5 in daytime image quality. I'm sure this video was exhausting to make but If you were to do a few tests using the A4 in the normal color profile it would be noticeably better than the A5. The image is much closer to the Gopro. I would recommend saving some money on the A5 camera and get the A4 and picking up one of the DJI wireless mics.
i only like dji because of its dlog and battery performance, but image quality and stabilization i think Go pro is still the best.
4:54 the clouds on DJI
Did Gopro sponsor your video? :) I don't agree with the results at all...DJI is the absolute winner in almost every area...I used 5 gopros and I moved to DJI, it was a great decision...DJI wins by far, image quality, stabilization, speed, battery life etc etc...I will never go back to Gopro ..
+1 on this
+1.. agreed
You're desapointed about your decision 😅
@@tokokunakara nope. never going back to gopro.
@tokokunakara hahaha, never🤣🤣🤣
One thing I think you missed is battery life. I think this is a huge one.
Something that I think everyone misses is stabilization in high frame rat. I believe GoPro is the only one that has it. So if you're speed ramping, GoPro is really the only choice
I speak about battery life at 11:00 😊
Dji is forsure the winner but they have a lower bit rate. When using in high end modes the Dji would also only win by 9-15% at most 🤷♂️ I would say GoPro and Insta were almost equal every time on high end modes. For some reason, the insta battery dies way faster when shooting Timelapse’s 🤷♂️😅
For some weird reason dji doesn’t have stabilisation in the slowmotion mode like you said but if you choose 4k120fps in regular video then it has stabilisation, but that is a terrible user experience and they should definitely fix that!
@ Much respect Chris! Thanks for the quick reply! I’ll check out the Dropbox files.
Freakin finally a TRUE REVIEW!
Made for GoPoo fan boys. By GoPro shills.
@@SaltWaterSalmon glad you enjoyed the comparison! My brain is fried after editing this haha but updated my description now with GoPro Labs links! 👌🙌
Mountains bike riding, spelunking (caving), travelling. helps of low light scenarios
Tell me you are partner without telling me you are partner
Insta360 Ace pro or GoPro 13?
Too bad my gopro always overheats and the batteries swell up after a few months.

Most review channels has said it’s been way better since the hero12 but I guess it’s up to GoPro now to try earn that trust back with the newer cameras
gopro might have some issues so is other action cams but i've been saying this since day 1 gopro's video quality is insanely good
You remind me like I am watching SkySports F1 and all the love for only British drivers * just my 2 cents 😉 Max is 5th time in a row Worlds Champion, just saying.
My man... you are the first one who lies even giving your footage as a proof that you are lying...
@@ChrisRogers most buyers are not qualified either so camera will look like it does out of the box anyways...
This whole video feels like a paid GoPro ad.
love this review!! specially knowing you are a gopro fan ans sponsored by
... but after watch and based in the QUALITY of images I still can see a winner and for me is the DJI, specially in the dynamic range.
Earlier, five years ago, such a question would not have arisen.... Now, GoPro is in a crisis of ideas and it has to catch up with its competitors.
