Thankyou so much for caring enough about animal welfare that you take your time to make these videos for owners freely available. With the rising cost of living, it makes me worry people cant afford to take pets to vets. That you give us informed effective ways to treat minor things at home is such a blessing. I and my pets thankyou so much 🙏

Whether inflammation with pus such as bite wounds from fights with other animals, pain from arthritis, and even mastitis, following combination works wonders for dogs, cats, and humans. For humans, adjust dosage higher according to label on the supplement. This is a tried and true miraculous natural remedy. So save this for future reference. It can also help reduce pain without the toxic side effects of NSAIDs.
Twice daily, evenly spaced out time wise and need to continue administer several days past all symptoms disappear, similar to giving antibiotics :
Turmeric powder placed into a size 3 empty capsule (approximately 150mg, or 1/3 of a 500mg capsule. Placed in capsule helps minimizes drooling effect when administering),
Pure Alaska Omega Wild Alaskan salmon oil mix with BioAstin astaxanthin (6 softgels of salmon oil to 1 softgel of 4mg astaxanthin) both can be purchased from Costco and Amazon: cut open the softgel and mix well in a small container. You can mix more portion at the same time using the 4:1 ratio of softgel . Astaxanthin also comes in a much stronger strength of 12 mg per softgel. I would just change to 12 softgel of salmon oil to 1 softgel of 12mg astaxanthin. Mix well and withdrawal 10ml of the oil into a feeding syringe with any needle removed.
Soy Lecithin granule 1 tbs mixed with 1 tbs of hot water to soften and semi liquify and pour into two 10 ml feeding syringes (10 ml syringe is what I got on hand). Wait till the lecithin liquid to cool down before feeding.
      Procedure:
Feed orally one syringeful of lecithin, followed by 1ml of the salmon oil astaxanthin. Do it slowly so as not to choke the animal. Then give the turmeric capsule. Once inserted into mouth, use one hand keep mouth closed and gently blow on the animal's nose. This encourages swallowing. If capsule is spat out, repeat inserting into mouth till you made sure it is swallowed. Best to have a 2nd capsule prepared on hand as a backup should the first pill got wet by the saliva and breaks open. Change and give the new capsule instead. Cats have very sensitive taste buds and tends to drool profusely when eaten something that's not agreeable to their taste. Then follow by giving the 2nd syringe of lecithin. The oily mixtures help reduce the capsule from sticking to tongue or roof of mouth and make it less easier for cats to push it out. Dogs you can hide the capsule inside a small piece of hot dog or canned food. You will likely see some difference happening as quickly as next day.
Activated charcoal and bromalain are another 2 life saving supplement to keep in your first aid box for both humans and animals. Activated charcoal powder ( not charcoal briquettes as this has fuels additive) 500 mg given by mouth by mixing with water given through feeding syringe when questionable food has been eaten and is causing stomach issues. Or when an animal has outdoor access appears different behavior wise such as lethargy, or no appetite, and you're not sure if they've ingested something bad. Go ahead and give the charcoal as a precaution.
Activated charcoal is also good at drawing out toxins from insect bites or bee / wasp stings. Mix enough powder with tiny drops of water to make a paste and apply over bite or sting. It helps reduce pain about 80% to a much more tolerable level within minutes.
Bromalain is a proteolytic enzyme that breaks down protein. It is a good supplement for wound debridement by itself orally, but works even better when combined with oral doses of turmeric, as well as turmeric powder mixed with extra Virgin olive oil or coconut oil applied topically over the wound. It helps reduce pus production and swelling.
Another good practice is to start making a habit of feeling your animals ear periodically to get a feel of their normal body temperature. When they have an infection, you'll know just by feeling the ears to see if they're hotter than normal. You can use this method to gauge whether they have a low fever or a high fever. When an animal start looking lethargic or less active than normal, I go for the ears first to detect if they got a fever or not. If the ears feel hot, I would do a whole body check to see if they got a wound somewhere. Then you can start taking steps to address that sooner rather than later.

Eight months ago a feral kitten that stayed in my backyard had a huge abcess on her neck. I didn't know what to do since I was a first time cat owner and didn't have money to take her to the vet. I searched in UA-cam and found one of your older videos on how to treat a wound and let me tell you that your recommendations helped me a lot. I would wiped her abcess with chlorohexidine twice a day and covered it with Vaseline and she recovered perfectly. Now, she lives with me and if you see her you couldn't tell she had an abcess in her neck. I cannot thank you so much for your remedies. Continue what you're doing, you're truly appreciated 🙏🐱

@@cherylsellstrom9839 she was very calmed about it but sometimes I would have my husband hold her down while I was cleaning her neck then applying Vaseline. She is now a healthy cat and I'm so thankful for this advise.

I wish I had known this 2 years ago.
Our neighbor refused to take their cat to seek help for his huge abscess on top of his head.
They even threatened us if we took him to see our vet. He ended up missing, and we never saw him again. The owners said he must have run away.
He was so neglected, and it still haunts me to this day, go what really happened to him😢.
We fed, played, and loved him, and he loved us too. We even allowed him in our home, and we had never had a cat before. We all loved him.
Thank you for your helpful videos!

My tenant had a cat that was attacked and spent close to a thousand dollars at the vet. To this day you would never know my cat even had a wound. So grateful for you.

My cat got a deep bite on his wrist joint on his arm. It wasn't infected at first but very tender so he wasn't walking on it so I was doing a gentle hot compress on it but he wouldn't let me do anything else. It did get infected then and I got one hot compress that drew out the infection then he wanted nothing to do with me and hid for days. The whole area basically had opened up by the time he let me even look at him again still couldn't catch him though. Now it's all drained out and healing up he's back to his old self; walking, jumping, coming to me for pets and cuddles. Wish I could have done more to clean it out but he's kinda wild and kept run/hopping away to hid where I couldn't get to him. Just glad he's almost healed now. Thank you doctor, this info will come in handy if it happens again!

I remember treating a cat abscess maybe 15 years ago. Cleaning.. check, draining check, products used, betadine and colloidal silver. We tried to wrap him to keep the wound clean.. it was on his back.. he rolled that wrap right off and lost it somewhere.

Doctor, Thank you so very much for this information. I put very warm compresses on my 18 yr old female cat, maybe 6 times total in 24 hours. The abcess opened with the slightest bit of help from my cat Jill. I used the cleaning solution recommended which I found easily at my local pharmacist for 10.00. Cat Jill is tired but doing well. Thanks again, Signed a middle aged Lady on a tight budget.

🤕 Putting homeopathic Silicea/Silica 30ch in drinking water (non-metallic bowl) works as a Great expectorant! If your pet fights you too much use this remedy. 👍 you can also use Hydrastis Canadensis 30ch (Golden Seal) with it which works like an antibiotic. Ledum 30ch is specific for puncture wounds and can be added to water also.

Several years ago my dog got bit by his cousin, Gunner, and developed a huge abscess on the bridge of his nose. I lanced it myself, using the methods you suggested, then in the morning I took him to the vet. The vet said it was all cleaned out well and didn’t need more treatment. He then stayed clear when Gunny was in a vile mood.

Doctor, you are amazing. I myself get chronic abscesses. You helped me & my cat Scar. I bought 95$ worth of stuff at Walmart for surgery on Scar but all I needed was CBD oil and lidocaine patches which I cut into a 1x1 square. I gave a couple drops of CBD orally and rubbed some on the abscess. Yesterday we were hot compressed many times. I drew the pus to the middle of the abscess which deteriorated the skin in that spot. I slapped a patch there. Today when I peeled it off roughly the patch took the middle of the wound with it. I have good drainage now right where I asked for it. Keep it flowing out!

Then you can start taking steps to address that sooner rather than later.

took my cat to the vet for this, they were given antibiotics and I was just told to keep the area clean with Chlorahexidine. The next day he had another abscess pop up on the other side of his face, they completely missed an injury just to get me out of the door faster. I ended up having to finish their job at home… it’s disappointing to know I could’ve simply done it just as well on my own if not better even without antibiotics. Lost 170$ for a half assed job and solution I could’ve bought at a pharmacy and they didn’t even drain the hard lumpy abscess.Nice.

Great info.. but dealing with a cat.. that has pain from the abscess.. would be very difficult to clean the abscess area aggressively unless the cat is sedated.
My friendly community cat was found with a swollen back foot and couldn’t walk. As I lifted his foot gently, he cried out in pain… that I took him to vet. It wasn’t a fracture.. but a bad infection.. and the bite wound closed up and couldn’t be found. So the vet had him stay overnight a couple of days draining the infection. I will find out in 2 days if it got better..

If your cats got maggots this is infected wound? Wash off the maggots & keep washing with warm water with salt on a towel. Throw out towels & Use clean towels everytime. Keep doing this often 3 × day. Maggots are from flies laying eggs & getting into the skin where it's infected. Put a little honey on wounds.
If it's not a wound it's worms so give cat regular worming & flea treatment. Worms come out of the cats anus-bum & break off on fur & look like maggots? Im a Animal Behaviourist. Hope this helps you 😊

We already went to vet 4 days ago and they only gave him antibiotics, vitamins, pain reliever, ointment, and clorhexidine.
The vet didn't drain the abscess and I've read a lot of threads that had the same experience with their pets but the vet drains their cat's abscess.

Please help Here are the signs on my cat -
her base of the tail is swollen for some days, then i see her lucking a wound today, i didn't see pus, but it could be that she was already done licking it, all I'd seen is yellowish transparent/translucent thick water like liquid, a lil bit when i swab my cotton through her wound. Now i think she's done most of the cleaning, i see red muscle like hole , color red, though it was blood, but its kinda solid, i swab my cotton again, it hurts her, but the cotton is lil watery diluted red, if it was blood it would've been bright red on the cotton i think

There is a cat at the shelter with a very severe neck wound from the chin to front leg. The vet has grafted it bit doesn't seem to be healing even with all the bandages.
The skin was completely missing about the size of a playing card before the graft.
Is there some kind of mesh like a human hernia to help the wound heal that can be absorbed by his body?
And a bandage that would stay put close to his face under his chin?

But there’s still a bit of a solid bulge… I’m guessing I’m not doing it effectively. How deep should I go?

The pus has a very foul smell and her breath is bad so I'm going to take the cat in for antibiotics. She seems fine and has appetite. She kept licking my arm (I had sleeves). You mention CBD for pain relief and I have been giving CBD isolate with MCT oil as a carrier to my older cats for some time. Do you have an opinion on CBG and/or CBC paired with CBD, minimal THC >0.1%? Does the “entourage effect” of pairing cannabinoids improve efficacy in cats as it does with people?
I work in cannabis/hemp extraction/isolation so I have access to various distillates with different profiles and would like to incorporate distillates into their diet as opposed to isolates for bio availability but I haven’t found a lot of good information regarding other cannabinoids besides CBD for pet treatment? Thank you in advance for any information that you are willing to provide from your own experience. 🙏🏼 🐈

Try extra virgin coconut oil. Propolis can be bitter, so unless you put it inside a small capsule to feed the cat, I think you'll end up with a profusely drooling cat. Adding a capful of apple cider vinegar with the mother in it also may help. But these won't be quick fixes as likely source internal fungal issue may stem from high carb from food. Switch to a high protein food may help.

    My cat is struggling 😢🐈‍⬛
I went to the e-vet on Sunday and paid almost 300$ just to confirm what I know- that’s it’s an abscess and he’s got a fever.
They didn’t do an exam which I thought it what I’m paying for
They want nearly 1000$ to treat his abscess.
    His hind foot is swollen
He won’t let me touch it though, and groans in pain. I have pain meds for him now.
This all sounds incredibly painful for the cat and I’m wondering which cat on earth would let you do this to them??
Now I get why they said he has to be sedated:(
I cant even trim his hair

Hello doctor and friends on UA-cam, I noticed a soft lump under my dogs neck and we massaged it and it went away, a few days later she developed a hard lump on her cheek overnight it made her whole face swell she couldn't even see, I took her to the vet he said it was infection of salivary glands and prescribed antibiotics for two weeks and said for her to come back, I asked about draining it and he said no. 3 days later the huge lump ruptures, blood and pus everywhere (the office was closed I couldn't take her ) over 24 hours her face and neck drained. Only problem is now there is a gaping hole and I can see inside her, I took her back to the vet and he mentioned it being really difficult and he doesn't know how things are going to go because the skin is dead, he mentioned maybe doing surgery to cut off the dead tissue or she might have to go to a specialist to get a graft done but he said that can cost over 10k so that's usually the end for a dog. She is back to her playful self, eating drinking, you wouldn't think this is all going on by looking at her. But more holes are opening up on her cheek and draining pus. I am so sorry this is so long, you are a vet I trust and I wanted to reach out to see you have any tips. I am a recent college grad looking for a job and I keep getting the run around every time I take her to the vet, which I don't mind spending money for my fur baby but I'm not even sure if it's helping. I believe Jesus designed us and our pets to repair and heal, but this vet is making it seem impossible. I can’t fathom putting a dog down when they are eating playing drinking water, the wound is very very graphic and nothing is covering it so the vet bandaged it. I appreciate any advice at all this dog is my baby. You are amazing Dr. Jones

So sorry to hear! Sounds like my conventional vet as he doesn't know either and says the skin is necrotic or dead tissue. I don't see it to be black at all though (necrotic)
My young cat has mammary cancer and the biggest nodule burst. She feels better & is eating, drinking etc. But, this large wound is nasty. My vet gave me Clavamox antibiotics and an antiseptic solution. I think the antiseptic solution hurts her and I joined a Feline Cancer support group on fb that mentioned Essiac tea. I have an appointment next week for a Holistic vet. Hoping to see what she says and I'm very worried about my sweet little kitty.
Please try going to a certified Holistic vet. They don't charge as much either. There's a website but I forgot the abbreviations. Just Google Holistic vets near me and go there.
Pls keep me posted. You and your dog are in my prayers

I have indoor PET chickens. Can't find a real vet that will treat them. And I can no longer buy antibiotics from farm supply stores. We have ear abcesses. I'm only using disinfectant sprays and antibiotic ointment. 😮

Give colloidal silver externally and internally. Trust me it works. Disinfectant sprays and ointment aren't strong enough.

You still should visit the doctor for antibiotics. Also squeezing it on your own if you don't know how to do it might cause it to burst inside, instead of outside

And I went to the vet and they didn’t even clean it inside. They just squeeze the puss out and prescribe the anabiotic’s now after two weeks of taking my cat is getting again the same abscess. I’m so mad because I spent so much money and the doctors they don’t know what they are doing.

Any tips for helping heal a cats paw abscess? I have a cat that’s got one forming on the passenger side front paw, presents swelling and lots of puss. Should I drain it? And if so what worse should I do?

This was such a good video with such a cooperative patient! My cat had a huge growth on her milk ducts. We had to take her to the vet. It was removed and the incision is so big. I feel so sad for her she’s doing well, but what a horrible experience. And the very sad thing is it cost close to 3000 dls! 😱

For a tooth abscess a vet is absolutely needed, for extraction and pain management.
