@@swiftlessons It is a great lesson. While the chord position C#/b is correct, there is a easier way to play this with the walk down more melodic on an acoustic guitar and using the correct chords. Heck, I actually do it on the electric as well and like it better than the original.
went through about 4 videos thinking "that's not right!!!" then found this video .. thanks so much!! .. This is the correct way to play this song!! Awesome job
I just heard the acoustic version for the first time tonight at work on Sirius. Needed to learn it when I got home and now I'm very glad I ran across your video first. You're putting it all together nice and easy for us man. I appreciate it 👍🤘
I grew up in the 90's. I've heard this song a thousand times on the radio and never really thought much about it other than I enjoyed it. Watching your lesson and studying the structure of this song, well it's one of the most interesting songs that I've learned. Thanks so much! Your cover, and lesson, was spot on.
I play guitar & sing since 1994. These must have been the hardest and most beautiful chord progressions I have ever tried. I don't think I can make it but thank you anyway for your patience & your detailed presentation.
Thank you for the fantastic content! You are the only ones who teach us right and with a lot of effort, it is really fun for me to learn from you! Thank you very much! Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪👍💪🤗
You're the most thorough/thoughtful teacher of a guitar lesson i've ever encountered...thanks for breakin down the tricky changes in this STP tune man, you're a patient and gifted dude!
Holy cows are cattle that's bang on... awesome,.sounds superb .what a bugger I've been playing it Eazy cords for over 2 decades now I have to grow Xtra knuckles..cheers from Australia ya bastard..❤.
Thank you so much. Some complex chords in there but well worth the hard work to try and learn. Scott’s incredible vocal range and Dean’s beautifully written chord progressions were made for each other.
Thanks for this great lesson, Rob! the up down beats on the guitar are explained as I can't find it in other videos and it was what I needed, thank you very much, a hug from Brazil!
Wow great way to end my week. I love STP and totally forgot about this gem. Love your lessons how you also show the singing + strumming. A lot of tutorials leave that out and it's often difficult at times to catch the nuances of it by just reading tabs online. Great work!
Thank you!!! I´ve been waiting so long for this one!!! I´ve played this song but I felt that some chords were not the right ones... and now I will finally play it well!!!
I had never Heard that song. It's beautiful. You're right, I should buy two microphones. I installed thiner strings. I don't Say they're Bad, but before my guitar sounded like thunder, and now it sounds like ... a guitar ! Thanks so much for your great tutorials ! Good night.
Absolutely amazing tutorial man! I covered this awhile ago, but this would've helped so much in learning it! Fantastic overall video and your breakdown of teaching it!
Great tutorial. Noticed that in the main riff chord progression when playing the E chord from the 7th fret, you can mute the G string and just play the open B string to form the chord - easier than stretching to hit the B on the 4th fret of the G string. In the verse, it's easier to play C#/B and Bb0 with bar chord at the first fret - less finger movement and can slide from G#/C.
I've been wanting to learn this song for so long. With this tutorial I feel like now I finally will learn it, thank you! ❤ (btw, this guitar is stunning!)
I'm late to the party here. I haven't played this for years so came for a refresher. Your version is much more thorough so thank you (except for the C#/B - ouch!). Fantastic lesson and congratulations on the birth of your daughter - nearly a year old! Fun times. Hi from Australia.
Wow man you rocked the hell out of this. Very well played Sir! Added to my lessons list. Some interesting chording in there for sure, and it meshes together beautifully. This will sound pretty on my 12 string I think!
One of my favourite songs, and super fun to play! The verse chord progression is pretty crazy, and I’ve still not quite managed to master it - C#/B fingering is quite something. Your lesson is great man, nice work 😄
I sprained an ankle trying to play that C#/B. Great lesson thanks for breaking it down!
Yup, It’s a killer! So glad you enjoyed the lesson, thanks for the positive feedback. -Rob
