@@dparis2172 I like Dexter and I think him and Murphy would thrive together. They would both get snaps as 3 technique. With how Flus likes to rotate and move guys around, we very much need another DT.
@@708robertd We need both. Dexter can be shifted to nose tackle and Murphy could help collapse the middle of the pocket, as a 3 tech. Then opposing QBs can't stop up into the pocket, which increases effectiveness of the outside pass rush. If Sweat gets injured, our defense will revert to the early weeks of last season, when there was no pressure and QBs picked our secondary apart.
@@skylorhamilton9151 He's been slotted to be a day 1 starter and impact player immediately. Whether it's an EDGE or DT, we need more players who can get after the quarterback.

Jayden Daniels is ranked properly. Others positions are ranked higher than him. That doesn’t mean he won’t get picked #2. It’s a need. Nothing wrong with taking a players that is 20 spots away. Especially when others are wanting the same player.
So Rolly gave us a hiccup. I've got a hiccup for Rolly. How about the Falcons get their 1st moved down to the end of the round as they were officially caught tampering with Kirk Cousins. Suddenly, the Bears pick at #8 instead of 9.

Yes the bears would benefited greatly had they kept Justin fields and traded the first pick to New England for the 2025 ands 2026 first round picks. Listen the pats will be a bad team for the next couple years and they need a quarterback badly we could have settled for drake maye and trade our 2026 pick to Arizona for Marvin Harrison jr.
Horrible idea! Why would you pass on a generational talent at qb? We haven’t had a special qb here since McMahon. What the Bears are doing is right on point, get the best qb prospect since Andrew Luck.

If he averages more than 220 yards per game he’ll hold the franchise record for yards in a season. I think he does that year 1
He just has to be competent at the position, and not crap the sheets in the 4th quarter like Justin has! Enjoy his running skills in steel city, you won’t enjoy his 60% completion percentage though. Not starter quality, perfect for backup.
I’m saying Caleb has to be better. Not saying Justin was the best but he WAS the best talent we’ve had in a while. With a better situation Justin would have been top 5 qb in the league and I’ll stand on that. Lamar wasn’t a great passer until this last season. He still can and I really hope he does. I’ll be disappointed if Caleb doesn’t perform atleast take over and not be worse. If we don’t hit atleast 9 wins this year then we most definitely f-ed up.

He was ranked 23rd in the league overall, that includes his excellent running ability. Without his running, he was ranked 28th, that’s no where near top 5 my friend! I know we get blinded by a few of his unbelievable plays, (I was the same way) but by year 3 he should have been much better with the talent around him. His improvement was marginal at best.
Lamar hasn’t been successful in the playoffs now has he? That’s where a really good qb shines! He is an excellent regular season qb though, not clutch in the playoffs.
Williams will be a stud, I fully expect growing pains, but by week 8 we all will be delighted to have him! We won’t need 3 years to figure out what we have at qb.

@@troth. The bears had 22 draft picks in the last 2 years. That’s plenty to be honest. We have 9 picks in ‘25 as well. The philosophy is changing here.
The reason we have few picks this year is we gave them up to get Sweat, Allen and Bates. Not bad players if you ask me.

We will have the Panthers second round as well, that should be in the 30s, plus ours in the 50s. I’m guessing if we do well Cunningham will get a GM position, get two 3rd round picks from the league for that too. (Minority hire) We shall be golden by ‘25 season.
