What a great that was by both teams, To be honest both of St Louis & Birmingham have great.players along with great coaches. Two great Franchises going at it. I wouldn't be surprised if we see these 2 teams play again in the playoffs.

If you watched the game unbiasedly. You can't come away and say oh we're head and shoulders above everyone and it's not close.
These teams are very evenly matched across the board. It comes down to who executes the most.
and the cheap shot low ankle tackle that hurt Aj's leg threw the entire momentum off in the late 4th.
That was the game right there. He had multiple guys open down the field for TD bombs altered by that injury.
STL will definitely be in the Championship where we will have 50k fans screaming at you causing you false starts.

Last week, when I commented how well Martinez has been playing, a very passionate gentleman kept commenting all week how Mcarron was way better, “not even close”, and that would be shown this week. I wonder if that loud gentleman is ok.
Martinez is the best QB in the UFL right now. AJ is ok but he has by far the best receiver in the league.

There were some bad plays, decisions and drops in that game, but that’s what happens when you have the two best teams actually playing under pressure. These guys have walked over the rest of the league so when they finally played each other was the first time we’ve really seen them tested.
This has to be the championship game this year.

This was a great game. It may not happen but it would be great with the UFL Championship game being in St. Louis with the Battlehawks playing Birmingham in front of a sold out Dome stadium with all the fans yelling out KA KAW IS THE LAW. The Battelhawks need to get there first and it will not be easy..

Wow that game ended with a wimper. But Martinez did not get the snap off on that last run for 12 yards. A whole second almost burned off after the clock hit 0.
But a good win by Birmingham.
The greatest team in spring football history wins AGAIN. And they did it even after making a ton of mistakes.

Battle hawks versus stallions and battle hawks versus defenders will be two of the greatest spring football rivalries ever to be played for many years to come! This game was hyped as the game of the season before it was even played… It did not disappoint. All-time classic!

@@allanross611The viewership numbers have been going up each week despite competing with March madness, the NBA playoffs, the draft, soccer, track and field and NHL playoffs, etc.
Trust me, if this league keeps doing this with these networks will love to have it around for decades. Disney will already fund it for some years so you don't need to worry at all. Unless COVID 2.0 happens lol. But I doubt it will. Just let the league grow its base out. They'll probably select some better cities next year for more crowd attendance.
@@allanross611 absolutely! The Rock and Disney are not going to give up on this after one year. Not to mention this is the best average TV viewership of any spring league since the 1980s version of the USFL. Despite competing with March madness, the masters, MLB, MLS, English Premier league, NBA playoffs, NHL playoffs, NFL draft, and other college events… The TV viewership has remain steady or even increased weak over week. The attendance is not perfect, but it has not been on a study decline. There was a small drop off from the first couple of weeks, but then it held study and it’s actually starting to go back up again. It’s working. It just needs people to care now.
@@kimberlycampbell1100 do you know my had this discussion with a bunch of very knowledgeable people about spring football a couple times already. Moving teams are out of their current markets, even if the attendance is pretty bad, is not something that the league can afford to do. It hurts the image of the league overall. Memphis and Houston are having atrocious seasons, and the attendance is reflecting that… But if you move them after one year of really bad numbers the fans aren’t going to trust the league and whatever Newmarket it goes to. They’re definitely going to expand though.
@@kimberlycampbell1100 TV ratings are good, excellent quality football. Fox is the owner along with Redbird. Disney is not. My concern is the poor attendance.

one of the problems for the ufl,is on these national sports talk shows,radio or tv, not one mention of the ufl,,i listened today before the game,both fox sports,and espn, and every radio show they clamored on and on and on,, about every other sports evet on the weekend, not one mention of the ufl. fox owns the league, espn broadcast the game, one would think they would have the league mentioned briefly,, at least, noooo, not one time in the rundown of all the sporting events of the day did this game warble out of their mouth,,to me that is a problem.

@@tristanmullen8015 OK, I have thought about it and you are right. To many accuse the heavy favourite of chocking when they lose. Gotta give credit to the underdog when they outplay and win. No the Stalls will not choke , but will just lose. Remember, it is not the best team that wins. It is the team that plays the best.
This was some good football.
Not a very big crowd for an undefeated team. But not every team plays in St. Louis.
That was the biggest turnout this year. Great crowd considering. :)
Stallions winning was really lucky. Bad plays, refball, and bad drops and muffs made it really dangerous for them to finish in the end. Both teams did play well and the mvp race might go down between the two qbs. As a Stallions fan, I would be aware of how lucky we were playing against ourselves and the hawks. If this keeps up, we could be one and done in playoffs.
Interesting or you can look on how we overcame those issues. It’s not like that happen to other team and we capitalize on their mistakes. We over came our blenders by playing well. I think it’s backwards on how you stated this, maybe if you put it like if we clean up those mistakes then we will be dominant.

The UFL has a real chance to rival the NFL in terms of ratings and popularity in the near future with games like this. This was fun to watch from start to finish, hopefully as they generate more revenue - they can have more team expansions.

@@mgunn9801we were a bit shorthanded on offense too ..Marcell Ateman has been ill..The big moments for me, watching the highlights are glaring ones.
When Martinez picked up the first down on the 3rd and 16, was from Deep in their own territory after BHAM got flagged for Offensive Holding on 3rd and 6...well out of FG range..
It's The worst mistake we made all afternoon.
The Battlehawks Should have Declined the Penalty and forced them to punt on a 4th and 6...they weren't anywhere near FG range as it was, and no doubt the Stallions would have punted. Instead.. Martinez had no pressure up front on 3rd and 16 bc we dropped most of the D back into coverage..He had no trouble getting the first down with his feet and that was a HUGE failure of Becht and Donnie Abraham not having situational awareness. That mistake kept the drive going and BHAM made us pay for it.
STL also went for 'two' after EVERY SINGLE score..The first one of the day was successful.. EVERY ONE afterwards.. ALL failed.
BHAM did the Smartest move . when it counted most...they were trailing 26-23 and Scored late to jump back in front
29-26.. then went for the 1pt'er instead of the unnecessary 2...and it quite literally won them the Game.

Had they attempted the 2 and failed?
That Blocked Punt and AJ driving us to 3rd and 2 and "clocking" it was already Easy FG range...and would have had us likely headed to The Overtime Shootout.
Those failed 2pt'ers ALL day long .. especially when they weren't needed..
Without taking a SINGLE 1PT'ER the entire game?
Those are Coaching Staff Screwups and that's ALL there is to it.
This is going to haunt them(and deservedly so) when they go back and watch the film this week.
Leaving points on the field is one thing when the players are mostly to blame for it..but what we all saw yesterday was NOT on them..and it is Unacceptable, to have Our Coaching Staff have so little situational awareness.
Yes we had bad plays.... bonehead Pass Interference calls TWICE..with the second one coming into double coverage on 3rd and 22 and on a slightly overthrown pass that , while clearly being a "legally catchable" ball ..
Gary Jennings wasn't likely gonna catch it anyhow.. especially if theyd both just tried to make a play on the ball..
rather than BOTH of the defenders flagrantly committing Pass Interference.
That was bad enough, but Becht wasting our only 'challenge' when we ALL saw that it was not going to be overturned...and yet ... Challenging anyhow?
Stupid on Every level plus Cost a timeout for his futility. Luckily that one was in the first half and wasn't a backbreaker...but it still shows how inexperienced Becht is..versus how great at his job that Skip Holtz is..

This game was better than the nba playoffs
Bahams defense played dirty, tackle on AJ was unnecessary, it affected his mobility and you see it when you tried to throw the ball. But battlehaws had some passes that should have been caught. Good game though.
