That's because of the legal loophole. The local factory receives the goods from China and adds the finishing touches (the 'Made in Italy' label for example), and it qualifies as such. The same way that Germany doesn't buy Russian energy, but buys energy from Russia which is processed in India.
All clothing companies use some form of cheap labor. They do have to tell you where it's made. Do your research before you buy it ‼️ Made in America, made in Italy, made in Portugal, made in Japan, and made in Turkey. Are just some of the best places to get clothing from. 😅😸💯‼️
