Hi Revzilla. I ride a ZX10R 2015 that has a steering damper. Can you advise me which Ram mount would be good for me?
I want a thing small enough to grip the top fairing Brace bracket..it way smaller then a fat ass handle bar !

The mounts shown have a very narrow loop that attaches the mounts - all of mine have a broader plastic bar kits that are excellent
How well do the suction cups hold? I want a mount for my ATV but have little room on the bars.
If you go to ram mounts website they have a "builder" option where you can input your phone and it gives you all the configurations that will fit for your phone. All you need to do is know the size of your handle bars for the right size clamp. However most of there clamps are adjustable to fit .50"-1.25" bars.

Will the suction cup mount stick on a plastic fairing (not wind screen) and hold my phone in place ?

these work for tractors? My husband lost his phone last year bailing hay cause it fell out of the plastic bag he had! Lol! I want to get him something that is stable! yes it also holds a flip phone lol unfortunately i heard this from many ram mount users and telling me their phone falling off on high speeds ....
after some research we have finally concluded your best bet is a rokform motorcycle mount that is universal for quite a bit of bars or quad lock which is cheaper and it supposedly tends to wear out over time due to heavy vibration .. cheers
i have owned a ram mount on my R6 and R1 and have never have my phone fall out at high speeds. and im talking 140+mph
nick 1208 there’s nothing wrong with ram mounts I have used one before but there is better options out there and I went with the rokform

It depends how much mounting space you have on either of the clip-ons. If you have space on one of the clip-ons, you can use a U-clamp/brake/clutch mount. I also recommend a fork stem mount. -DrewZilla

Leo Hamlyn Blessing I use the forks mount with an extension on my phone. You just need to determine if you have enough room.
@RevZilla, you showed the GoPro version.....does it keep the picture more stable with less vibrations on those mounts? Wanting to do a custom application for Mountain bike on bike and Chesty.
I wouldn't say the mounts are responsible for image stabilization so much as the GoPro's own software as well as post-processing. The mounts ensure a stable camera angle though, but ultimately your shot is still subject to the suspension (or lack thereof) of what you are riding. -TeamZilla Chris

It used to be made in America. The packaging that I got had Chinese letters on it.

How do you keep the phone from rotating a few degrees while on the mount?
I've installed the mount, and when the phone is in there is a good half inch of play where the phone will go from vertical to slightly askew in one direction.
Is there a lock that I'm missing?

i really want to mount my phone but im just so worried that my phone will go flying when i hit a pothole or open the bike up on the highway, especially due to my bandit 1250 having no windscreen or fairing
For this same reason, I use the Spring-Loaded Cell Phone Holder. The arms wrap around over the front of the phone, so the phone can't pop out. You'd pair it with the mount and arm (or mount kit) of your choosing. -DrewZilla

Since I have the new Samsung galaxy s8 plus which is similar to the iPhone 7 plus size wise can it fit in the X grip holder?

I have a Question. What size tough claw are u using in the video? Small or medium? And is that size campatible with(almost) every bike in general?
Unfortunately, the production team didn't record the size used. However, I generally recommend size small for motorcycle applications, since it can fit a tube diameter range of 0.625" to 1.5". That works for 7/8" bars all the way up to 1.5" big buffalo-style bars. -DrewZilla

Yes, you can get locking arms/knobs. Here are a couple options. I personally use the smaller pin locking knob rather than the bulkier keyed locking knob -DrewZilla

i have a wheel dampener on my bike how will i be able to get the triple tree version on there without having it get in the way of the steering?
If your steering dampener attaches at the triple tree, then you cannot use a triple tree RAM mount. You would need to use a different RAM mounting option. -DrewZilla

its an Ohlins Steering Dampers where the steering wheel fork stem is not occupied but since the long head of the dampner goes across it i figured there would be a trick to get the ram mount on there . bc there arent any room on the handle bars :(
i figured out a way man, i took one of the clip on bolts off and replaced it with one of the bolts ram mount comes with, put a 1 inch ball on it that the screw goes through and it works great.
I like the suction cup mount but someone can easily take it off your tank!

Is it normal to have high frequency vibrations on my ram mount? I have the tough claw attached to my handle bars and the x-grip for my iPhone. Even when stationary on idle the phone vibrates.
Really depends on your bike and how those vibrations translate into your handlebar. What are you riding? I would say that these mounts are stable, so long as your bike is running smoothly. -TeamZilla Chris
I have a new 2017 Ninja 650 ABS. Perhaps I bought the wrong ball bearing? I have the tough claw, the x-grip and the short double socket arm in between them.

Both the X-Grip and Spring-Loaded Holder work well for the iPhone 7 in a Lifeproof case. I find the Spring-Loaded Holder to be a bit more secure though. Remember that you'll need an arm and mount in addition to the actual phone holder. -DrewZilla

RAM Mount UK, I'm looking into using this for mountain bike applications but need to know what it does for vibrations and such. Why do prices on nice products always feel painful, like you're being gouged? These are at least $65 after taxes (in the year 2018) and up. For a phone clamp. On the other hand, your $700 cell phone will be in good hands. That should sooth your black eye or body blow. :)

If you don't use a phone case, you can use the standard X-Grip holder. If you use a case, just make sure the case width is 3.25 inches or less. You should be able to use a RAM Mirror Mount Base with one of your scooter's mirror stalks. You'd then get a clamp arm and whatever cradle/accessory you want. -DrewZilla

We haven't had any fail yet, so it would likely be a very long time before one might need to be replaced. -DrewZilla
I believe those are silicone, which means it doesn't degrade like rubber does. But don't quote me on that.
i spoke to both Revzilla and a local dealer who carries those tethers they both said the same thing over time and how much you use them they might need to be replaced so i bought 2 spare ones the other day they are only $5 a peace it worth to keep a few spares on hand just like the rubber end caps .

I'd recommend the mirror mount base if you can find a suitably pinch bolt to use it with. You wouldn't use it with your mirror mounts, though. You'd use it with some other pinch bolt around your dash or bars. -DrewZilla

i bought 3 of these ram mounts. 2 for the peddle bikes and 1 for the dual sport. im really dissappointed with them. if you have a samsung gs7, the mount will either compress the power button or volume button. a waste of $150.

The Ciro mount is much much better
On my first ride with the RevZilla phone mount. Phone flew right out. Costed me $340.
Quadlock is the king of phone mounts. This Ram mount sucks with an iPhone.
